|15 hours 35 min ago||For the record it was UofMDDS96||
Here is a link to the original thread:
He stated it would have to be after Harbaugh uttered the words "I will be the next football coach at the University of Michigan" or something to that effect. He also said if it was on a Tuesday it would have to be before 5pm. If Harbaugh truly is going to be at the basketball game on Tuesday, you'd have to imagine that would happen at some point between now and then.
Ashley's opens at 11:30am on Tuesdays, but OP said he won't be there until 8pm.
Also on the record:
hazardc promises $100 worth of Michigan made beers
LSA promises 10-15 orders of fish & chips ("perhaps")
|15 hours 58 min ago||No one will be able to get in||
even with the students being off campus. Place will be packed to overflowing based on this blog alone. Now combine that with the massive flood of students returning early that week.
|23 hours 30 min ago||I wouldn't mind it||
As many have mentioned, the team is in serious need of a culture change. Maybe this can be part of it.
|1 day 1 hour ago||The 7th time...||
was even better than the 6th!
|2 days 2 hours ago||But what do the sinks say?||
But what do the sinks say?
|2 days 17 hours ago||No, I'm actually robot||
No, I'm actually robot
|3 days 2 hours ago||I remember being furious with Ecker at the time||
What the hell was he thinking? He didn't even ATTEMPT to keep the play alive, he just dove out of bounds.
|3 days 4 hours ago||Not surprised by this at all if true||
But I wonder, if we are to believe you are so well-informed, why did you believe this past Monday would be the day, when virtually all the evidence indicated that the decision would not be made until after the NFL season was over?
|3 days 4 hours ago||Not to mention the barbarism of using two spaces after sentences||
Ugh. This isn't Columbus. This is a civilized community, people.
|4 days 19 hours ago||Um I don't think so||
he may just decide he prefers the NFL. It would be a shame in my opinion, given that if he restores the program he'd have a statue next to his idol, Bo. But in the end it's Harbaugh's decision.
|4 days 21 hours ago||If it doesn't happen, I'm heading to my bunker||
|5 days 2 hours ago||So if Jim Harbaugh elects to stay in the NFL||
what do we do to Gregg Henson/Jeff Moss/Steve Lorenz?
|5 days 15 hours ago||Remember when Hoke had turned the tide of the rivalry?||
Nothing has even happened yet this time and people are claiming that we are saved and back to the top.
I know the Hoke comment was mostly treated as a joke initially but people really did start believing it after he beat OSU his first year. Everyone was claiming that Hoke's recruiting would ultimately destroy Dantonio and that OSU was just a tire fire (that was before the Urban hire but then even after the Urban hire people laughed and made comments like "wow good job hiring a coach Michigan has never lost to"). Then some random paper made rankings of Big 10 coaches and Hoke was like 4th behind Urban, Dantonio, and Bielema, and some here had the audacity to claim that Hoke would eventually beat them all...
Sorry I have to do this but seriously a reality check is in order. Last I checked Harbaugh is not our coach and Michigan is 2-6 against Dantonio and 0-3 against Meyer (1-3 if you count the Florida game...)
|5 days 15 hours ago||Agh but none of this has happened yet! Except Herman||
and if we don't get Harbaugh we may be worse off for that, having lost a good backup option...
|5 days 16 hours ago||Nothing has even happened yet||
and we are talking about "seismic" shifts...
|5 days 18 hours ago||When it's official Harbaugh is staying in the NFL||
we'll talk about which of these stupid threads jinxed it, and how many decades it will take before we beat OSU again.
Last I checked Harbaugh is not the coach yet. All that has happened in the past day is that some NFL guys who had their heads in the sand finally acknowledged that Harbaugh was giving Michigan "some thought." Also some mysterious Twitter user who everyone was lambasting as a fraud just a few days ago has a thread with ~200 replies.
|6 days 21 min ago||Hey I'm normally pretty optimistic about stuff||
except when it comes to Michigan football. I became a concious fan in 2001. Michigan has gone 2-12 against OSU during that stretch. I became a "diehard" in 2009. Michigan has beaten MSU just once since then.
This is just what I have come to expect. As an undergrad student and grad student I feel lucky to have seen one victory each over OSU and MSU in 6 years, seeing as many of those who came before me saw just one. Even then, Michigan won those games by the skin of their teeth against "down-year" rival teams.
I was in seventh grade for Michigan's last great victory over OSU.
|6 days 52 min ago||My prediction on what will happen?||
It will look like it's happening all the way to December 29, at which point Harbaugh schedules a press conference. All the insiders say it's happening and Brian and Sam Webb finally cave and announce that it is. Two hours before the press conference some no name NFL guy tweets that a Godfather offer has been made from the Falcons or some other random NFL team. The press conference is cancelled half an hour before. The next morning it is announced JH is staying in the NFL. Mgoblog and the city of Ann Arbor erupt in flames.
|6 days 1 hour ago||I still have not||
The only way I will is if Jim Harbaugh himself utters the words "I will be the next coach at the University of Michigan" or something to that effect.
|6 days 4 hours ago||If so, that doesn't bode well||
He will be getting a flurry of NFL offers pretty soon that he hasn't seen before...
|6 days 16 hours ago||You might want to get out more often OP. Just sayin'||
|1 week 3 hours ago||To say the "entire" fanbase wanted it is a bit extreme||
I'd guess most U-M fans were hardly aware of his wrongdoings. The crusade against Brandon, while righteous, was spearheaded by mgoblog, which still represents a minority of those who call themselves Michigan fans.
That being said, the tidal wave of bad press was surely getting to be overwhelming and the student outcries were strong. So there was really no other option.
|1 week 4 hours ago||talk about an argument to the extreme...||
The point is the guy was already here for three and a half years. U-M already put a major investment into him and now he's going to be thrown out on the street
|1 week 6 hours ago||This is part of the concern I have w/ the Frank Clark situation||
Not that he shouldn't have been kicked off the team and punished, but after he gets out of prison what's going to happen to him I wonder? Has he been expelled? Will he ever get a degree? Obviously his girlfriend is the victim here but what about the future? I don't think it's inconceivable that if left on his own the cycle will just be perpetuated and more people will suffer in the future just so that here in the present day we can entertain the belief that justice has been served.
|1 week 6 hours ago||There already is a different standard though||
a lot of these guys wouldn't have the slightest chance of attending college if they weren't playing football.
|1 week 16 hours ago||Sadly if anything it worsens our chances I think||
Harbaugh will want to prove this season's failures are just an aberration.
|1 week 1 day ago||My prediction for this game is Harbaugh||
Let's be honest though we're going to need something to look forward to in the spring if this keeps up...
|1 week 1 day ago||since you have amended your wrongs||
you will be spared the justice of the mgoblog gods. This time.
|1 week 1 day ago||OP SUCKS! YOUR THREAD IS BAD, AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD||
All jokes aside I think this is a fine topic and a relief from the endless chatsports threads we had earlier. Alas, I can't comment much since I live a stone's throw from the heart of it all and have seldom been in touch with people over the last month who aren't Michigan fans but still care about sports to be plugged in on the situation.
|1 week 1 day ago||On a side note though||
This is decidedly not off-topic, and for that you should be chastised.
