I'VE HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF YOU SONNY

- QB coach
- Sideline checks - OC plays the chess match instead of having your QB do it all game. Doesn't have to be every play
- OL calls absolutely have to be fixed, from day one
- Better audible ability
- Practice time review - go to Oregon and see how they use every minute to work every player. You don't have adopt it, but let it give you ideas on how to maximize practice time. This isn't just for the Offense.
- Death of useless play action. It's lazy playcalling. Just call the same play out of shotgun.
- Throw the gd ball to Funchess if he's single covered in the red zone. And the black zone and the other zones (but not a bubble).
- Teach your QB that fumbling is simply death and it can't happen or he'll be benched. Neither Denard nor Devin understand this. They understand, but they don't understand. It's hurting Denard now in the NFL.

|2 days 4 hours ago||That is a great way to||
That is a great way to describe how I'm feeling. I'm not exhausted anymore. I'm energized, optimistic, and want it back. Such is how a loss can be something much more than a loss.
|2 days 5 hours ago||I read your first 3 lessons||
and thought, of course he knows this, anyone would especially an OC. Then I read your fourth and realized it took him 2 1/2 years to install the bubble. At least he finally did. Hopefully next year he'll actually throw it to a space player, instead of a 6'5" catching machine from an ancient planet.
If he stays I think they need serious change:
But seriously, what the hell do I know.
|2 days 7 hours ago||Maybe in his fourth season||
Maybe in his fourth season Borges will be able to counter a double A-gap blitz. But this is unlikely.
|3 days 15 hours ago||again||
you didn't address my point, which is that you're making false claims in your argument. I suspect because you have no counter.
Yesterday's game doesn't reinforce anything other than if M had played like that all year, their record may have been 10-2. The fatalist "Iowa up north" argument assumes so many negative extrapolations forever, and seems inconsistent with the actual game results against the opponent you hold up as the model (Ohio).
I'm very happy with the way the team played today, primarily because of the way the team blocked. I thought the offensive game plan was excellent, but Borges still needs to go. I of course am not ignoring 3-5 in the B1G, as nobody is, most importantly Hoke and evil Brandon. Unless you believe it prudent to remove Borges during the year, I see little about this season that means Hoke = worst of Lloyd forever
|3 days 21 hours ago||what's crappy vs. sarcastic?||
and will Brian and the mods be responding in kind? You, Seth and the boys can be pretty acerbic in your replies to posts you disagree with. Are you not going to allow those volleys to be returned?
Sounds like a line too fine to walk, and I'm guessing one or several of you will be made uncomfortable by purge's end.
|3 days 22 hours ago||this is classic||
and a weak argument. You ascribe characteristics to your antagonist that they likely don't possess, then rail against them for it. There are probably zero fans who have forgotten about 3-5, given, you know, they're fans and they pay attention to the win-loss record. Saying the team played great today or that you shouldn't give up on the team when they lose lots (if those are the people you're aiming at) is not the same as saying the B1G record should be ignored.
|3 days 22 hours ago||so we were pretty aggressive multiple times today,||
so we were pretty aggressive multiple times today, and hence not Lloydball (which is the original point I'm trying to refute)
|3 days 22 hours ago||who was the longtime guy?||
is that stuff in the moderator sticky?
|3 days 23 hours ago||how about the 4th and 2?||
aggressive enough? kick a field goal there instead of go for it, and maybe we win. Point is, hindsight yada. I think you're really reaching if any of today's game reminded you of Lloydball
|3 days 23 hours ago||vitriol and idiocy||
are what I'm against, I don't think disagree should have anything to do with it. If one makes a reasoned criticism of Brian's approach, I certainly hope he's not considering banning them.
|4 days 5 min ago||confused||
if he's upset with twitter crabpeople, how will a purge of mgoblog crabpeople further his aims? These two different breeds of underground dwellers exist in different (social media) dimensions
|4 days 10 min ago||and||
it sounds like he wants to get rid of those that disagree AND do it with vitriol / negativity

But don't jump. M has 16 total commits, where most of those ahead of us have 20 or more (Rivals based on total points). On an average star rating, we'd be #12
And you're being selective. ESPN has us with the #7 class. 247 #11

no, the other guys
|6 days 23 hours ago||I hated the Hoke hire||
But I opened up my mind after it was final, because what hell else could I do. Everybody who's ever worked with him or known him loves him to death. And for a dozen other reasons that nobody gives a fuck about (but yes, including an 11-2 BCS win season), I really like him now.
But it's almost beyond the point: why the fuck are we talking about RichRod? It's a means to despise Brandon. Seriously? This shit is so old. You likely despised fans who never shut up and gave RichRod a chance, instead clinging to their first impression reaction to the hire. And then every piece of negative evidence over his tenure was used to support that initial theory - while simultaneously flushing any positive progress. They vented and vented and helped run him out of town, too early in your eyes. You hated these people. Well congratulations, because despite your position that Hoke should be given 5 years (fairly meaningless support since you think he's a bad hire), you are successfully emulating them.
|6 days 23 hours ago||many fans||
wanted Beilein fired for underperforming. Brandon put the kibosh on that kept him. It was the right call and it came before the B1G championship or NC appearance
|6 days 23 hours ago||brother||
you set up the deck in your assumptions and use hindsight to resolve any remainder.
I'd suggest your views could be seen as reflective of what's wrong with the fan base: you can't stop in-fighting, you can't let anything go, you have an arrogant view that your way is the right and only way, though you know about 1/1000th about football as anyone in Schembechler Hall, you're fatalist, and above all you're angry that things aren't the way you want them to be, and until they change it to fit what you want (fuck every other fan and what they want), you'll make the coaches and/or AD a punchline and receptacle for your vitriol.
|1 week 27 min ago||I wouldn't concede Countess||
he technically committed before RR was fired, but after he was let go, a pre-sanctions PSU and Joe Paterno went after him hard. As I remember it, he had in-homes with both staffs and Mattison was able to keep him.
|1 week 35 min ago||you're angry at Brandon||
for throwing RR under the bus, saying he didn't recruit enough talent. Are you selectively dismissing the fact that RR threw Carr under the bus for not recruiting enough talent? You don't seem to hold any anger at RR for doing the same thing. Why don't you call RR a douchebag?
|1 week 50 min ago||yes||
straw man, additional pithy comments to follow, and a deep hatred from many that I suspect has roots in political bias and existed before Brandon ever made a move here.
He's raised revenue and prices like everyone else in CFB (except he hasn't put ads in the stadium), he's corporate, he's screwed a few things up, he seems a bit arrogant. In my opinion he's done a great job in the Football hire, and retaining Beilein. Now that it's clear Borges won't cut it, it seems he and Hoke are addressing that as well.
|1 week 1 hour ago||the extent to which||
so many on this blog absolutely convince and reassure themselves that Dave Brandon is a cartoon character, who shuns all forms of life in the pursuit of money and the devouring of delicious brains of the unspoiled innocents, is just astounding. 1) he made a lot more money in private industry, 2) he came back because he loves Michigan
|1 week 1 hour ago||it's unnecessary||
former coaches didn't need to be mentioned at all. There's a phrasing available there that could have made the point and moved on.
|1 week 2 hours ago||on your first point||
there are many ways to handle that mess of a situation (one RR helped create), hindsight solves all missteps of the moment, and when you rig the assumptions in your favor, anyone can "prove" their way of doing it would have been correct.
On your second point, I disagree 100%.
|1 week 2 hours ago||sure, asshole move||
to mention Carr and not RR. But holy balls is that a massive overreaction.
|1 week 2 hours ago||they better||
And I think they will. Hoke says it's not good enough if we're not winning B1G titles. He has to put his money where his mouth is, because the offense isn't near good enough. Brandon has to do the same. We can't watch our rival down south go 23-0 (let alone Sparty) and not react.
|1 week 2 hours ago||don't remember the quote||
If he said getting the right coach is more important than one recruiting class, he's absolutely correct. Do you disagree?
|1 week 8 hours ago||3 issues, in order or relevance||
1. OL targeting
The first and third are on the coaches, and it's to the point that they need to replace the OC. They're not lying when they say that plays can work - Devin has some open guys or plays to make if he's not getting sacked by a free LB. So do Fitz/Green. That means that players can handle some level of execution. It's just that the OL calls are too complex, or the QB reads are too complex, or the play call is off the sheet and not at all reacting to the Defense (while simultaneously having an inadequate audible game). For a myriad of reasons the level of failure is on too many levels to trust in another year. Hoke needs to see that.
|1 week 10 hours ago||I'm a fan of yours mgrowold||
I think you begin most of your posting from a basic sense of honesty. Didn't think you were doing that here, and I wanted to hold up a mirror to that. Not that you should be judged harshly. But if you're walking away because of the losing, you need to recognize that.
Hate to see you leave your seats, hate to see you say goodbye on Saturday. But I'll still be a fan of yours, even if someday you go 7-4.
