For anyone who has any sense of belief that this is unintentional. It's a thing he does. A lot of it is because he's beinga baby - someone makes a play on him, he gets had, he lashes out.

As I think the broadcast showed, that was justifiable vengeance for the "let's run up the score by handing off to an offensive lineman" tgat Sparty pulled last year

You had to know this would happen. "Gritty" "throwback" "lunch pail carrying" "white guys" on the DL don't get the recognition they deserve.
But that's OK, because they keep their nose to the grindstone and outwork their opponents to overcome their lack of elite athleticism. Get ready to read that over and over again as the draft nears.

Why wouldn't you keep him at CB? He's a very good corner, solidifies one of those spots. Couple him with Kinnel, and two of the four DB spots look good. Find solutions for the other two, and there are some options.
I agree the other safety spot is the unknown, but moving Clark puts him into an unknown, has to re-learn. Keep him where he's at and let Hudson or one of the younger guys (or Glasgow) win the safety job.

I think the assumption is that this is the furthest Barrett advanced, and the still taken at that moment. Or else this makes no sense as a still.

He's being sarcastic, because your underlying argument is so stupid. Do you really think M fans don't realize certain performances could have been better?
Let's cut through that stupidity with an example. At least 2 PI calls were indisputably missed. And not indisputably meaning "they didn't see holding and there's holding every game that's football". Rather that they called it against M but not Ohio: defensive holding against Stribling, which was legit and called, and the defensive holding against Darboh that was not. Later, the PI against Hill that was iffy, and then the PI on Perry that was not called. Call both evenly and I think Michigan fans are OK. Totally changes the game though in Michigan's favor. Do they win? Not certain but definitely in M's favor.
Now imagine if OSU were treated the way Michigan was in this game, ie the Stribling hold is not called, the Darboh hold is, the Hill PI not called, the Perry PI is. Who wins? Michigan, almost certainly.
That's what people are bitching about not the god damn rush stats. Both teams played really well, made mistakes, and defenses were very good. Everyone gd knows that.

Confused - was he not allowed to work the game in prior years because he was from Ohio, even though his crew did, but then allowed this year?

We have a DC who can defend against OSU. That's enormous, something we haven't had in years. And he's probably here until he retires.
|6 days 7 hours ago||We're not 10-14 points||
We're not 10-14 points better, bc the turnovers are part of the game. The first we let an unblocked blitzer through, taking Speight's follow through away and leading to a short throw. On the second, Speight made a poor read, but the LB made a great play on the ball. 90% of teams the latter goes through his arms and falls to the ground.
And Ohio made mistakes as well.
Playcalling concerns I don't see. M threw on first down a bunch, and were unfortunate that two great plays were submarined by their own errors: the draw play to Higdon is a huge gain if he cuts it indide, and the screen play to Smith by the facemask. Add those and it's 50 more yards and huge momentum shifts. You have try to keep running the ball to try and move the sticks, keep the OSU offense off the field
|6 days 9 hours ago||They missed two FGs, threw a||
They missed two FGs, threw a pick on their side of the field, and gaffed a punt on their 15 yard line.
That's your game right there.
Except it wasn't. Both teams made mistakes and played really well in the game. When it's that tightly contested, it is unreasonable for either team to be asked to overcome critical bad calls by officials.
You are not being clever or keepin' it real by saying M should have taken care of business and not thrown a pick 6. It's just so plainfully and stupidly obvious a point that it's assumed in the discussion. We're talking about a game on a razor's edge where Michigan at a minimum had to overcome two missed pass interference penalties and dealt with multiple other questionable calls, all of which went against them.

This is such a bratty reaction. What gd trick plays or creativity did Meyer pull out in this game? Nothing until OT.
|6 days 20 hours ago||Higdon, why is he in? Hasn't||
Higdon, why is he in? Hasn't played all day, not in the flow of the game. Evans threatens a chunk play on that and Smith gets 15 yards easy.
But that's really my only complaint. Not sure what people were expecting. The throw from the end zone is taking a risk. If he doesn't have (yet another) unblocked blitzer in his face, he can step through and probably completes that ball. The other pick was his fault. The fumble also, but didn't end up hurting Michigan.
Peppers packages weren't just keepers, they were extra blocker dives that OSU played well. He's not Denard, throwing isn't a cure-all, in fact it's very risky. Why put him in then? Because he's the best player on the team, those runs could have popped. The sum of many errors plus officiating lost this game. The playcalling was fine.

OSU is not going to base any of their preparation on a message board post. There's been enough smoke out there that they've probably prepared for both at this point. Do they change anything based on O'Korn or Speight? I doubt it. But the possibility of Speight playing means they need to prep for all of the plays and formations Michigan has shown all year.
This info may or may not be true, but it's good insider news on this board. It corroborates what some other sites have hinted at.
I'm just not sure why O'Korn would play at all. Maybe to throw deep? That could really mess with their heads, or it could be a disaster if his snaps are ineffective/wasted downs. See how the what-ifs get confusing already? OSU won't worry about that, they'll prep their players for a Michigan QB who's run the plays all year.
|1 week 3 days ago||First I'll go with. Second||
First I'll go with. Second is specious, none of my Sparty friends/family had that reaction. They were glad it was over, glad they "made it a game" or made it close at the end, invoked the prior 7 years.
The last is outright wrong - all Sparties hate their team this year. In their view Malik McDowell is the only player on defense worth a shit, and Corley/Scott/Shelton the only ones on offense. They have solved their frustration by deciding all juniors and seniors on the team suck, and the true freshmen will be awesome next year, but just not ready this. Somehow this allows them to place most of the blame on assistant coaches, and doesn't interupt their belief that 3-star level recruiting doesn't eventually come hoe to roost.

He also opens up the playbook. There are a lot of reasons the playcalling was limited Saturday, but playing the back up is at least one of them. Doesn't help if you want to put new stuff in for the week, given he's got to catch up to what Speight's been doing all season.

Not sure what you or the poster above is basing this on. Brian's said he received info from a reliable source, went with it, and that he's heard contrary information since.
Harbaugh refuted it immediately, and only upped it since. Speight may be out for the season, but it seems unlikely he has a broken collarbone at this point.

That may be enough. My wife is quite a bit younger than me (high-five), and didnt' really pay attention to football when she was younger. But she loved the "The Team" speech the first time she heard it at the Big House, and she's read articles and even my book on him over time. She loves the guy, and I still show her clips of him when I run across them on Youtube.
Bo was awesome. He's worth experiencing even if you didn't live through his era.
