Men of Michigan onto victory, Ev'ry man in ev'ry play.
Michigan expects her Varsity to win today!
Rah! Rah! Win for Michigan! Varsity, Down the field.
Never yield, Raise high our shield.
March on to victory for Michigan,
And the Maize and Blue
Oh Varsity, We're for you,
Here for you to cheer for you.
We have no fear for you. Oh Varsity!

The quality has gone down for the NFL ones, but the Star Wars ones have much more effort put into them with entire songs and everything.

Look at me, I can spin around!
And, of course, I WANT CAKE NOW, which I must have said about 100 times this past season

then I had to go to bed. Basically to the part where he saves Gasim from the Nefud. A good movie to watch on TCM because they actually letterbox it properly. Lawrence is 2.20:1 aspect ratio, so you lose something like 10% (I think?) from each side if it isn't letterboxed. I watched part of it on another channel once -- no letterboxing and horrible panning everywhere. The scene where the general, the advisor, and Lawrence are walking side-by-side only showed two people at a time and kept panning back and forth to show the two who were talking. I'm not a film snob by any means, but it was just ridiculous

so only 10 non-PWO spots left

there's only 20 walk ons total, right? Seems like we're up to 6-7 PWOs coming in this year.

5 in a row to start the season -- that will be draining to attend that many in a row, and I live 30 mins from Ann Arbor. I don't know how people can travel long distances for games week after week like they do.

Chesson, Darboh, Da'Mario Jones, Jaron Dukes, Drake Harris, Mo Ways, and Grant Perry currently on the roster. It's not a popular subject, but this could be one of those areas where we see a few transfers after spring practices to make 85 by the fall.

Love the play at 0:43 where he gets held, doesn't stop, and sacks the QB after he broke free from the initial wave. Like a junkyard dog back there

to not gain a first down on two straight drives. They never thought they were going to get 3 possessions with 10 mins to go

This competition level is pretty horrific -- half those DEs aren't over 200 pounds.

where's "nope" guy's prediction. Remind me never to predict anything anymore, because even if I'm right, I'm still going to get negged.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||That Diamond Stone guy that scored 39 a couple weeks ago||
is probably going to eat us alive inside. U-M doesn't match up very well with this team.

After spending the last seven years laughing at our recruiting classes and how STARZ DON'T MATTER, they've suddenly changed their tune after they got trucked by Alabama. 3 stars can only take you so far (first round of the CFP apparently), at which point, you're going to hit a brick wall. A couple years ago, I analyzed the average stars for each national champion's starting lineup. I should do it over again, but I seem to remember it was just a hair under 4.0. A few less 5-stars than 3-stars. Which is basically the best from 4 top-5 classes.
So no, you don't need STARZ to win the Big Ten, but you do need them to beat Alabama.

I always kind of shake my head at how people clap like seals at that part. We're a great school, but how about a little humility. I bet opposing fans really roll their eyes at that.

I don't understand why he needed a year to "get to know the coaching staff." The other players didn't know the coaching staff either, and they didn't have any problems. I never understand when players say they're "glad to know what's expected of them." What does that even mean? Give 100% effort, that's what's expected of you, and you don't need the coaching staff to tell you that. If you're not the starter, look at what the starter does -- how he practices, how much time he puts in the weight room, etc. Try to work harder and play tougher than him.

Maryland's Diamond Stone (all-name team) with 39 points today. 10-15 FG and 19-25 FT. That guy will be a nightmare inside when U-M plays them.
|6 weeks 2 days ago||Jordan Howard 238 yards rushing||
on 35 yards for 6.8 ypc. That guy was devastating a big loss for them in this bowl game, although Redding already has 186 yards rushing.

I have a sort-of indirect appreciation for the photos -- my cousin is big into photography, and when her son played football (4th-6th grade) she would take photos of each player for an end-of-the-season DVD that she would hand out to the parents. She did pretty well, but a lot of kids would still be half covered-up by other players and they never had a nice, clean shot.
Football is a difficult sport to photograph. It's a big field, a lot of the players are bunched up, and you really have to be in the right place at the right time. Some of that is luck, but a lot of it is skill and being at the right place on the sideline. That Darboh photo -- just amazing.
Neat to see where Fuller was on that shot -- 0:32.

is when NKU #34 is on the floor (McDonald). Kid's a true freshman and it shows. This was when Donnal got his quick points. Once they took McDonald out and slid Billups down, U-M just stopped going inside entirely. Team is just so one-dimensional on offense.
