|1 day 8 hours ago||There's a lot of shoulda coulda wouldas with that series||
run some end arounds or reverses on 1st/2nd down to burn up more clock. Who cares if you lose yardage, the time is all that matters.

just threw a TD. Don't know why that guy wasn't starting already.
|1 week 3 days ago||Nice play by Rutgers H-back to prevent the fumble six||
put that guy on defense
|3 weeks 1 day ago||He's slightly better than Tyler O'Connor||
I watched the BTN replay of the MSU game and the two QBs seem pretty similar to me in a lot of ways. O'Connor is obviously more mobile (he should scramble more than he has), both can throw a decent ball, but both can hold on to the ball for too long and throw into double or triple coverage sometimes. Speight has just been luckier so far to only have 2 picks.
Yet MSU fans are calling for a QB switch as though O'Connor's the sole reason they've lost twice. It's all a matter of perspective and mediocre QBs on a 5-0 team are given a lot more slack than mediocre QBs on a 2-2 team.

Didn't see any replays while at the stadium, but watched the BTN replay and that was a brutal hit to the front of his right knee and it hyperextended something fierce. Looked awful.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Both the knockout and group stages are fine||
they just need to redistribute the bids from the different confederations; I don't know why CAF gets 5 (they are almost identical in strength to CONCACAF, which gets 3 or 4), while CONMEBOL only gets 4 or 5.
Every time, it's pretty much a guarantee that 1 or 2 CAF teams are going to get absolutely pasted in the group stage. CONMEBOL hasn't finished last in a group since 2002, and Ecuador still won a game that World Cup. I can understand they're building the brand or some shit, and they shouldn't pick teams ranked 1-32 straight up every time, but a 50+ ranked team should not be making the World Cup.

took him 20 secs to make up his mind to go for it
|3 weeks 4 days ago||I do, too||
my cousin had a birthday party for his kid and wouldn't let my dad and I watch the game ("this is for my kid, you can watch football anytime!"). These cousins didn't go to college and don't understand these things. My dad and I hid out in the car and listened to the first half on the radio before the cousin relented. Worst 2nd half ever to watch.

don't try too hard there

and then they miss the XP
|3 weeks 5 days ago||UConn QB missing wide open dudes||
if he could put the ball anywhere within 10 yards of these guys, they would probably be tied right now
|3 weeks 5 days ago||U-M won the away game in 2013||
They were down 21-7 at one point after UConn returned a Gardner fumble for a TD. U-M came all the way back with the help of a Desmond Morgan pick.
I admit, I had to look it up because I barely remember that game.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Montez played against Oregon||
We know first hand how much better they are with Liufau. They were pretty much even with us until he went down.
|4 weeks 1 day ago||VanGorder is their GERG -- a job-losing hire||
they were fine under Diaco -- sure, they lost some clunkers against Navy, where they got torn apart by triple option. But they eventually figured it out and Navy was not in question anymore. They put together some good defenses to complement Kelly's offense.
Under VanGorder, though, they can't figure anybody out defensively and it's turning into an RR situation.

Lorenzo Harrison is gonna be trouble
|6 weeks 4 days ago||Colorado runs tempo||
I watched the first half of that game; Colorado does run tempo and didn't look bad at it. CSU was probably the worst offense I've seen in a while (their QB probably skipped 4-5 passes on 3rd down). That game could be an IU-esque chaos situation.

haha double meanings

So, yeah. Glad that guy's not our OC anymore

checked sideways and out at the 1. Which means the 99-yard drive is coming.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||Wow FIU stadium||
is this a high school team?
|7 weeks 5 days ago||ESPN scoreboard thing says the over/under is 54.5||
that seems crazy high. I'd be pretty upset of Hawaii scored more than 10, and I don't think U-M will score 45-56 by themselves. Unless Harbaugh just decides to nuke the hell out of them.

expect to see a lot of that next weekend

that Hawai'i DL, wow
|9 weeks 1 day ago||Congrats Ace||
hoping the fact that we haven't heard much about your health lately means that your health is not an issue anymore. If it still is, then you have a lot of character to keep it on the down low and focus on the job regardless, because that's not easy. Keep up the good work and it's good to see that you enjoy your job.
|10 weeks 2 days ago||Few factors||
1. Our out-of-conference schedule is trash
MSU plays ND and BYU
OSU plays Oklahoma
We play nobody. So our SOS should be the worst of the three
2. As always, it matters when you lose. Losing to MSU early and beating OSU late (with OSU beating MSU the 2nd-to-last week of the season) would be the best scenario with a 11-1 record.
|10 weeks 3 days ago||As a relatively new fan||
it's interesting to see the different stadiums. Watching Everton vs Spurs on the TV, in what I would consider a "normal" multi-deck stadium, and streaming the Burnley game that's in this little dinky stadium with a single deck on the sides. The stadium capacities differ so much.
|10 weeks 3 days ago||Thanks for reminding me||
I forgot about this with the Olympics going on. Already some intriguing things happening with Hull beating the former champs; apparently it's been four years since a promoted team won its first game.

if you assume his standing reach went up 2.5-3" with growth, that's still probably 4-5" increase on vertical

couldn't throw a strike to save his life. Garcia walked without even trying to swing the bat.
