JH was a unique trailblazer, unafraid of the world commentary around him. He had/has a vision and pursued it with enthusiasm unknown to us at the time. It reminds me of the famous Teddy Roosevelt “Man in the Arena” speech I just learned about today:
”It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena, whose face is marred by dust and sweat and blood; who strives valiantly; who errs, who comes short again and again, because there is no effort without error and shortcoming; but who does actually strive to do the deeds; who knows great enthusiasms, the great devotions; who spends himself in a worthy cause; who at the best knows in the end the triumph of high achievement, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least fails while daring greatly, so that his place shall never be with those cold and timid souls who neither know victory nor defeat.”

I’m 190, side sleeper, bought Sleep Innovation Marley, very firm, not hard and does not move at all when someone is getting in and out of the bed. Price is great too.
Crazy easy, really swell recipe for either smoker or grill (prefer smoker)... simply coat with yellow mustard, both sides, store in fridge till cooked. Cook till 135-140 F.... enjoy!
This is great on any pork dish, shoulder, tenderloin, chops. Seems too simple... but it works!
Our RD was a guy named Al. He was about 6’5”, 230 law grad student. We never saw him...except when the inmates got out of hand. We called him the human eclipse. He’d appear, and the light from that end of the hall dimmed. We knew the boom was about to be lowered.
We had a keg of Colt 45 on 5th Van Tyne / Markley Hall watching the Mich-Indiana NCAA final MBB tournament game...both Blue an yours truly got hammered.

Incredible game to watch, took my grandkids, they were on the edge of their seats.

Just bought a bottle of Galliano. Time for a Sparty Wallbanger...first enjoyed this on 5th Van Tyne, Markley Hall, Ann Arbor.
The Sparty Wallbanger is a mixed drink made with vodka, Galliano, and orange juice.
Main alcohol: Vodka
Ingredients: 1 1/2 oz (3 parts) Vodka, 1/2 oz (1 part) Galliano, 3 oz (6 parts) Fresh orange juice
Preparation: Stir the vodka and orange juice with ice in the glass, then float the Galliano on top. Garnish and serve.
Served: On the rocks; poured over ice
Standard garnish: Maraschino cherry, Orange slice
Drinkware: Highball glass
