| 3 weeks 2 days ago | From a UNICEF pdf |
The consequences for the dismissed children and their parents were not anticipated. The children may have been freed, but at the same time they were trapped in a harsh environment with no skills, little or no education, and precious few alternatives. Schools were either inaccessible, useless or costly. A series of follow-up visits by UNICEF, local non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) discovered that children went looking for new sources of income, and found them in work such as stone-crushing, street hustling and prostitution — all of them more hazardous and exploitative than garment production. In several cases, the mothers of dismissed children had to leave their jobs in order to look after their children.

This is a very tricky topic. But its just the way the global economy works right now |
| 5 weeks 4 days ago | The shirts, of course! |
Makes me think that picture of Gary Harris wearing a UM shirt the other day was a sign! |
| 7 weeks 6 days ago | Metal inspection |
When North Quad was being built, the company contracted to do the metal inspection messed up big time and had a shitty, just awful, shitty, (one more time? shittyyyyy) inspector sent to the North quad job site.. My girlfriend, who works in the construction industry, was told to not be surprised if there were any problems with the piping..... Now this.
TLDR; I'm not surprised a metal pipe broke. The guy doing the inspecting should have been fired five times over already. |
| 15 weeks 1 day ago | E.J. Levenberry |
E.J. Levenberry hasn't signed his LOI to FSU yet.. Rumors are he is considering Tennessee heavily, though. Is there any way we can snake-oil him away? |
| 15 weeks 3 days ago | Thanks |
Sounds good to me. I found what I wanted in the depth chart by class. |
| 15 weeks 3 days ago | 2013 recruiting board |
Hey can we get an update to the 2013 Recruiting Board with the next biweekly recruitin'? I want to see Derrick Green's name on there. Hopefully Wangler turns out to be the next Wes Welker! |

| 35 weeks 1 day ago | Does anyone know more Michigan football history than Brady Hoke? |
"I think we’re excited, obviously, to play in a great venue and play great rivalry game. It started in 1887 and [we’ll] continue it and go from there.”
Because I want to see some sort of game show, stump the schwab style, where Hoke goes to town on everyone. |
| 49 weeks 3 days ago | chewing tobacco |
I hope it was just him hiding his chewing tobacco from the umpires (they're not allowed to chew in sight of fans, right?) |
| 1 year 5 weeks ago | He did this last year too |
I can't seem to find it online though; every link to it leads to his new one. I want to know how he did |
| 1 year 6 weeks ago | YES |
I'll take a guy who is 6'1 and known for taking care of the ball. So now what do people think of Nik Stauskus's potential at PG? Wouldn't it be kinda nice to have a guy that could play a backup role reliably to provide depth that wouldn't leave for the NBA? (Who imagined that this would be a problem five years ago?) Better yet, he could prove himself to be a solid PG and present a unique look because of his length that couldn't possibly hurt our defensive numbers. And when more reinforcements come in at the PG position he'll still find himself out on the floor at a more natural position once the logjam for minutes clears up. I don't know I'm just thinking way too much about all the possibilities and staying happy about how awesome our program is becoming. It is pretty late now though haha |

| 1 year 19 weeks ago | He's probably saying that |
He's probably saying that Rivals better rank him high and soon. He's still unranked on Rivals - not that it matters to me |
| 1 year 19 weeks ago | Agreed |
I feel like that would be the best case scenario with Sparks. However, I trust the old man's judgment too much to doubt him now. He always has his team ready come playoff time and I bet we see the team step up again to make the playoffs. Amen to the GLI win. The three things I can count on in my life since I was born - Jason Hanson is kicking for the Lions, the Red Wings make the playoffs, and UM HOCKEY MAKES THE NCAA TOURNAMENT |

GUYS I'M A NOOB and can't create threads yet...
But Josh Garnett just put up on his twitter, "O yea forgot to tell everyone slippery rock is the 4th school on my list. If this is worthy of a thread or note in a future recruiting update, please, by all means re-post it in a better spot. I just wanted to put it out there. |

| 1 year 22 weeks ago | Good question - i'm a huge Wings fan |
but would still love the UM football NC the most.
1. Michigan football national championship 2. Red Wings Stanley Cup 3. Tigers World Series 4. Michigan Hoops title 5. Lions Super Bowl 6. Pistons Title
I'm a huge Red Wings fan though so that's why that went high on my list |

My friends and I waited until February last year to sign a lease and got a nice apartment in a house down on McKinley by Yost... BUT we learned from it and got out a month ago and signed for a sweet house on Arch! So stoked to live in the student ghetto another year. Everyone should live down here at least one year |
| 1 year 26 weeks ago | Yeah UM vs Tim Tebow/Percy Harvin |
