Wouldn't be surprised

Given the track record with Forciers I would be surprised that it is true....going gets tough they bolt...but it is not confirmed so we'll have to wait and see....

And, yes...Melanie is hot....

17.9.2.3 Five-Day Acclimatization Period. [FBS/FCS]

I had to look up the rule -

17.9.2.3 Five-Day Acclimatization Period. [FBS/FCS] In football, preseason practice shall begin with a five-day acclimatization period for both first-time participants (e.g., freshman and transfers) and continuing student-athletes. All student-athletes, including walk-ons who arrive to preseason practice after the first day of practice, are required to undergo a five-day acclimatization period. The five-day acclimatization period shall be conducted as follows: (Adopted: 4/24/03 effective 5/1/03, Revised: 12/15/06)

(a) In bowl subdivision football, institutions may not conduct administrative activities (e.g., team pictures, etc.) other than those permitted prior to or on the academic orientation day (e.g., compliance-related activities, medical examinations, individual photographs) prior to the first permissible date of practice. In championship subdivision football, institutions may not conduct administrative activities (e.g., team pictures, individual photographs) other than compliance-related activities and medical examinations prior 264 to the first permissible date of practice. Conditioning, speed, strength or agility tests may not occur on any day prior to the start of the five-day acclimatization period. In championship subdivision football,
during the five-day acclimatization period, the institution must establish an academic orientation period for those student-athletes who are beginning their initial season of eligibility for football practice at the institution. The orientation activities may be conducted on more than one day during the five-day period, but must be conducted for the equivalent of one day (no less than six hours). (Revised: 12/13/05, 4/27/06, 12/15/06, 1/14/08)

(b) During the five-day period, participants shall not engage in more than one on-field practice per day, not to exceed three hours in length.
(1) Exception—During the five-day acclimatization period, an institution has the option of conducting one on-field practice per day, not to exceed three hours in length, or one on-field testing session (speed, conditioning or agility tests) per day, not exceed one hour in length and one on-field practice, not to exceed two hours in length. In addition, an institution may conduct one one-hour walk-through session per day of the acclimatization period, provided protective equipment (e.g., helmets, shoulder pads) is not worn, equipment related to football (e.g., footballs, blocking sleds) is not used and conditioning activities do not occur. Student-athletes must be provided with at least three continuous hours of recovery time between any sessions (testing, practice or walk-through) occurring
that day. During this time, student-athletes may not attend any meetings or engage in other
athletically related activities (e.g., weight lifting); however, time spent receiving medical treatment and eating meals may be included as part of the recovery time. If an institution conducts only a walkthrough on a particular day during the acclimatization period, that day does not count toward the required five days of acclimatization, but the walk-through counts toward the limit of 29 on-field practices for the preseason practice period. (Revised: 4/28/05 effective 8/1/05, 7/18/05, 12/13/05)

(c) First-time participants and continuing students shall not be required to practice separately.

(d) During the first two days of the acclimatization period, helmets shall be the only piece of protective equipment student-athletes may wear. During the third and fourth days of the acclimatization period, helmets and shoulder pads shall be the only pieces of protective equipment student-athletes may wear. During the final day of the five-day period and on any days thereafter, student-athletes may practice in full pads.

Morgan's Contract True, but Morgan was a 6 round draft pick and signed on June 16, 2009 a four-year, $1.862 million contract. The deal included a $112,000 signing bonus. 2009: $310,000, 2010: $395,000, 2011: $480,000, 2012: $565,000, 2013: Free Agent I am just saying that, unless you are a 1st or 2nd round draft pick, he is better off coming back for another year and improve his draft position.
He can say anything now, but ..... He can say anything now but when he is gets his NFL evaluation that probably will change his tune....unless you a higher draft pick (Top 3 Rounds), you don't get a high salary bonus which is the only guarantee money in the NFL....so unless he gets a high evaluation, I don't expect him to come out....
Okay, here is Mangino and Weis riding away together.........
Weis was seen boating up Lake Michigan
Where is the Detroit Media??? Four of the players are starters and nothing yet on the Detroit newspapers sites yet....amazing double standard....
There is a double standard..... I am a criminal defense attorney and none of my clients would be afforded 3 days to let wounds heal or to get there story straighten out. Despite the media hype, this is not a "traffic investigation" but rather it is a criminal investigation - for there would be no reason to talk with him otherwise. If TMZ and National Enquirer is correct (I know that is like saying MSU football team is full of choir boys) than he has some serious issues for than a crime was committed. As guess we just have to sit back and and wait and see what happens.
Some facts about Alabama Basketball Team Alabama is 3-2 on the season: Lost opening game to Cornell (71-67) but did beat Jackson State (86-69) and Providence (84-75) before entering the Old Spice Tourney... Alabama's averages this year so far: Pts: 73.4 but is giving up 70.2 FG %: .455 but opponents are shooting .435 3pt %: .352 but opponents are shooting .386 TO: averaging 10.6 turnovers per game Free Throw Average: .672 Apparently, Alabama's biggest problem this year has been defending the 3point line - so if Michigan can make the 3, it can be a good game for the Big Blue. And I believe that the Alabama Coach is new this year.....
Need to change chant I guess instead of saying that if you cannot get into michigan, go to State should become: If you cannot get into prison, go to State!
Strange very Strange.... All I can say that the facts that are being published do not add up. A square peg in a round whole. At 2am you are going fast enough leaving a driveway to hit a fire hydrant and a tree to cause serious injury but they are saying that the air bags weren't deployed? All I can say, is that there is something fishy in Florida!
Lets Worry About in 4 Years I must agree that this has been beaten to death but my 2cents are that in four years we'll know whether these players have panned out. We win some and lose some. Must defer to the coaches since they are in a better position to determine whether a certain player is a fit for Michigan. But if I was a 18 year old and seeing the potential for playing time at Michigan, I would jump at it.
Should play it on Thanksgiving I would like to see Michigan and OSU to play the game on Thanksgiving day beginning at noon on ABC. Make it a new tradition and I would love sitting eating turkey and watching the big blue!
I live in Iowa I live in central Iowa where there are a lot of Iowa State, Iowa and Nebraska fans... I fly my flag proudly and have my alumni stickers on the car. The parents at my kids' school know where we live - you live at the house with the Michigan fan...not too many people give me crap...cause they know I went to school there and at the end of the day, they still know Michigan is better than there schools...(oh, Nebraska fans are the worst)
Old Olympia Stadium? This is a proposal for a new Detroit Red Wings arena in downtown Detroit, to be built like and strongly resemble the old Olympia Stadium, where the Red Wings played until 1979. I came across this on the web and was wondering if anyone else seen this? http://www.newolympia.blogspot.com/
WRONG........... I guessed wrong on girl #602....I really thought I knew the answer but she fooled me.
More news.... I am a M alum living in Iowa and on the local news tonight they stated that the former student was taken to a hospital to have a mental evaluation.....only time will tell what the real reason for the shooting.
Good Guestion I don't know - I really do not want to lose my aisle seats.
Keep the Joe! I agree that Joe has the history. It is sad to see old stadiums go - Boston Garden, the old Chicago Stadium, and even the evil empire Yankee Stadium. Spend the money and give it a good face lift.
Season Tix.... My season tickets are at row 74 in the end zone. I don't complain. When you walk into the stadium, my seats are right there - you don't have to walk down and since my seats are on the end, you don't have to worry about people next to you too much.
Looks like it is a former player/student http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20090624/NEWS/90624008
