You're conflating high-income

You're conflating high-income (earned) with wealthy, and they are far from the same thing. Wealth is preferred over earned income in our tax system, and not just by a little. I think if people understand how taxation works at the very top (0.1 percent and above) then perspectives would change drastically.

Vista CA

From Leon Hall's old high school.

It will be without a doubt It will be without a doubt the best ever.

Also, Ezekiel Elliot went inside a dispensary.
I was yelling "zig-zag" into I was yelling "zig-zag" into then TV during that entire run.
Whatever the negatives it

Whatever the negatives it will not be worse than our current system. About 35,000 people die each year in the US from traffic accidents, and significantly more get seriously injured. That is a huge loss not only in human terms but also economic terms. Combine increased safety with reduced traffic, reduced emissions, increased free time and lower costs of goods and I'm pretty enthusiastic.

When there's the transition

When there's the transition into autonomous vehicles the owner will be able to set the speed with a limit on the distance. This is how the Tesla works now. It does a better job driving on the highway than I ever could.

When cars are mostly autonomous speed limits would obviously be raised.

Like it or not, the affordable autonomous car is coming and is coming faster than I ever thought it would. It's going to be such a positive for society. We'll be much safer and spend less time in traffic. It will be the quantum leap in productivity that that the computer was.

Sankey

The high school closest to Greg Sankey's house.

They made fun of MSUs They made fun of MSUs reputation for rioting extensively. It was great.
Blatant hold I don't understand how they don't call a hold on whoever was blocking Wayne Lyons that return.
I guess that's the silver

I guess that's the silver lining for him. I just wish he hadn't used the team I root for to learn those very basic lessons.

Most coaches seem to figure out the headset thing well before they're 55. I'm also not really sure what Hoke's plan was this year with Shane Morris who, despite Harbaugh coaching him, can't even sniff getting past Rudock. Needless to say we would be lucky to be 2-5.

It also would have been nice if he had taken the time to learn about spread offenses when he took a job with Denard Robinson and Devin Gardner on the roster. If JH inherited a Denard he would have been studying his ass off to find ways to maximize his talent.

And I don't really care that he's a nice guy. That's a strawman argument. No one has argued he's not nice. Unfortunately, he's kind of an idiot.

Mike's Place near the

Mike's Place near the embassy. It's right on the beach and is the only real sports bar in TA (or at least it was). There's also one in Jlem if you're there.

It should have the game and may even have some American beer.

I've had one very minor surgery on a useless appendage and it was terrible.

Rivers was mad that Clark

Rivers was mad that Clark pushed down his head unneccessarily at the end of the sack while Rivers was already down, in a preseason game. Rivers then, on his back, proceeded to get into Clark's face and then his tackle came and protected him. I'm not really sure why people are getting on his case since we chastised our o-line for doing nothing when DG got wrecked against Notre Dame.

Clark also immediately put his hands up once Dunlap got involved.  It's a little different when it's a 6'9'' man and not your girlfriend.

At one point yahoo had a At one point yahoo had a negative market cap when you took out their investment in alibaba. They get a lot of traffic but that's largely from users who aren't worth much to advertisers.
This guy has no idea how

This guy has no idea how illogical he is.

If DJ were good enough to hold a camp solely to evaluate him they wouldn't need to hold a camp to evaluate him.

He was not found "not He was not found "not guilty". The DA declined to press charges.

Given that 1) it's almost impossible to try a rape case and 2) it's almost impossible to charge an FSU player with anything in Tallahassee the outcome was not surprising.

Also FSU was kind enough to wait over a year to fulfill its obligations to investigate.

Given everything I've seen he is by no means innocent and FSU didn't really care.
Yea you're pretty far off Yea you're pretty far off base. I know a lot of people who went to Stanford. Most grew up upper middle class but by no means rich. There's a ton of people at Stanford who are. Same as Michigan. Stanford has more who are famous (you can't go 5 feet without bumping in an Olympian) or the kids of famous people. That's about the only difference.

My overwhelming experience is that despite incredible accomplishments most Stanford alumni are genuine and humble people. Just like at Michigan there are a bunch of entitled douches but those tend to be the people who are less confident in their abilities.
The servant calling Sansa The servant calling Sansa Lady Stark was telling. They've be alluding to taking back the North all season and now there's a Stark inside Winterfell.
Horrible things happened in

Horrible things happened in that football building in the late 1990s and early 2000s. At least one employee found out about it around then and reported it at that time. Nothing was done until 2012.

Freeh could have been sent by Pitt to destroy PSU for all I care. Focusing on Freeh is a strawman argument. There is no way there was not some systematic cover up in order to protect that football program and JoePa.  Even before Mike McQuerry saw what he did there were rumors that were not addressed. It was essentially a well known secret in Happy Valley.

Nebraska 2011 It was the first game following the breaking of the Sandusky scandal. All power was out in the South Endzone, including in the bathrooms. Went in there in the pitch black and guys were just yelling out "It's Sandusky shower time" and "don't worry I'm just teaching him how to shower". It was more than just a few people calling things out and it was actually pretty hilarious.
This is certainly evidence

This is certainly evidence towards two things;

1) The Appalachian State decision was seriously horrendous - less than 90k for the home opener?

2) People were clearly down on Hoke even before the season.  I can't wait to see the numbers that Bacon has.

Even if it's a close game and
Even if it's a close game and we lost, did someone thank me for coming? Did someone say they appreciate me being here? "I'm going to remember how someone treated one

of my daughters as opposed to whether Texas won the game," he added.

Dear Lord. How do these people have no clue that the sentiment is directly connected to the outcome of the game?

You are aware of a thing You are aware of a thing called need-based scholarships, no?

I can't imagine there's a university in this country that doesn't have a policy where people who can afford it pay more. Hell, Stanford and Harvard have no guaranteed the cost of attendance below a certain income threshold and thus made it a blanket policy.
Brady is up there but jury is Brady is up there but jury is out until we see how his post football life ends up. Is he crippled and using a cane to get around?

Tom Hanks is pretty awesome.
That's every situation in That's every situation in every job ever. Part of the senior role in an organization is ensuring the juniors are on the right path. It makes the team better.

It's a bit inverse but I can guarantee DJ Durkin is the most stoked person that Mattison stayed on. Mattison will be "taxed" as you say to help Durkin continue to learn how to be a coordinator

Drevno would need to offer the same kind of advice no matter who the TE coach is. And you can bet that he's on board with this higher.
You are correct. It's much You are correct. It's much closer know but USC was way behind.

The quality of kids going to each is night and day. USC also has a very strong admissions preference for kids with money - as in they give a GPA bump in their process to private schools.

USC also does not compare when it comes to research. It's a good school, but it's not UCLA.
Because whichever team goes Because whichever team goes there will print cash.
I spoke to a friend who

I spoke to a friend who played special teams under him for a year at Stanford.

He spoke glowingly of Durkin, and unsolicited said that Durkin chewed him out harder than any coach ever has after he roughed the kicker once.

Even if Ryan had made the

Even if Ryan had made the tackle they would have had the first - the entire defense was out of position on that play. That was a major RPS win for them.

Recruiting

Who gives a crap about recruiting right now? It's a small class and it's very clear Hoke is gone, or if we're dumb enough to keep him that any recruit will not meet his potential at Michigan. This year's recruiting class is number 99 on our list of problems.

Just get the firing over with so I can feel halfway good about the direction of this program. Each day they wait makes me less confident in the future.

Pump yo brakes on Carr.

The
Pump yo brakes on Carr.

The team is terrible. It's a multi year rebuilding project. It's the oldest roster in the league and there's a decent chance the team moves.
I think an appropriate

I think an appropriate analogy is Solar Car - although it is tangentially related to an Engineering degree, while footbaw doesn't have an academic corrolary.

I had a roommate working on Solar Car and he probably spent more time in that garage than any football player did on South Campus. I believe he even took a semester off when they went to Australia to race it. It was a huge time commitment and I know it hurt his grades, but I'm sure it has paid off for him.

Recruits Recruits aren't dropping like flies because of the fans. It's because they don't want to come here to win 7 games a year and have any not develop.
Douche Why can't he say one of two things: 1) those emails are not real and we're working on demonstrating that, or 2) I made a mistake in communicating with some of our fans. It's inexcusable and I will never do it again.

Instead we have the "I'm aware, but not fully aware". I know exactly what you're talking about because I'm not surprised by the question but I don't read blogs.

What a clown. Just get this over with. I seriously hope this permanently taints his political ambitions.
Stake-gate v. Shane-gate

This was adressed the day after and nothing on Shane for 2 or 3 days? It would be funny if it weren't so absurd and depressing. Maybe the program is making progress.

Hoke having to apologize to the coach who just kicked his ass again is going to be the hallmark of his tenure.

I would rather have the truth I would rather have the truth told right away. The issue should have been addressed in full on that Sunday. Full stop.

Since that didn't happen I would have liked the press release issued at a time when it didn't look blatantly sketchy. So yea, waiting 6 hours would have made it look a lot better.
You need to get a dictionary

Bad person = Putin

Incompetent = Matt Millen

Putin is an incredibly competent Czar - he's consolidated power and made himself the richest man in the world. Russians perceive that he has made Russia Stronk again. Putin is a horrble dirtbag of a human being.

Matt Millen seems like a nice guy. Hell, he was one of the most prominent Penn State voices who was publicly disgusted by the whole Sandusky scandal. He was a horribly incompetent GM. He has other competencies, like playing linebacker.

The media can get away being lazy enough to write pieces about how Hoke is a nice guy when NO ONE has said that because people are dumb enough to not know the difference between criticism of one's character and their performance.

Not going to happen

I have heard rumblings from folks in San Diego (where JH played and coached) that it just simply isn't going to happen with Brandon there. JH still has very good friends in the area and they are saying the same things people in Ann Arbor are.

There is too much smoke from too many sources for this to not be true. JH will not come to AA with DB as the AD, and frankly, I don't blame him.

Progress I'm very proud that the team did not put in an obviously concussed player after having to remove one for losing his helmet.

The new procedures in place worked and I have full confidence in this team and AD to address all mistakes.
Alabama Well a guy just dislocated and or broke his ankle and Alabamas staff was on the field within seconds.
But we're not and this brings But we're not and this brings up the issue of how aware Hoke is to what is going on on the field. If he did have that awareness and we were winning this would have been a mistake. Given the totality of everything he's just clueless and that amounts to recklessness.

I'm more mad about the reaction. We should have had a statement on Sunday saying that the coaches and staff made a huge mistake, here's how it happened, and here's how we're going to fix that.
Mother of God

This is going to get so much worse.

I feel bad for the medical staff...completely thrown under the bus like cannon fodder. DB obviously only cares about the big people in this world.

A couple hundred million in

A couple hundred million in debt says otherwise. Football has to keep making money.

That and the fact that his job is essentially to raise money. He may not be a huge fan of college sports, but he must recognize the AD does a lot of his job for him, especially for a geographically diverse alumni base.

What does notifying Hoke in a

What does notifying Hoke in a timely fashion have anything to do with this?

A determination was made on Sunday, as a shitstorm was brewing, that Shane probably had a concussion.

Hoke should have been aware of said shitstorm and looked into the matter and didn't. It's batshit clueless.

If no shitstorm were brewing I could understand the coaches not knowing right away. In this instance Hoke did not have information he could have and should have had.

At this point he is just as dumb as the NFL claiming it didn't have the Ray Rice video - when EVERYONE knows they either did or could have had it in 5 minutes. It's reckless.

The diagnosis doesn't matter,

The diagnosis doesn't matter, and the athletic trainers don't matter.

The coaches must be more restrictive than the trainers in this situation. Nuss, Khalid Hill, Justice Hayes, and the ref all at some point indicated that something was wrong. Even if Hoke did not see the play he should have seen someone else's reactions. This is pure recklesness. Period.

Even if Shane were not diagnosed with a concussion the protocol is very clear that a player who is suspected of a concussion must be evaluated. There is no doubt in anyone's mind, except for Hoke, that there was something wrong. In fact, Hoke's statements indicate he thinks that protocol is bullshit (Shane wants to be QB and he's tough...).

No one in the booth can fucking talk to Hoke because he doesn't wear a goddamn headset.

The fact that Hoke did not know about the concussion on Monday when there was a diagnosis on Sunday is just absolutely ridiculous. He knew he would have to talk about, Shane was in the facility on Sunday, you think he'd go figure out what the hell is going on. Hoke simply does not get it. It's pretty stunning.

I want his firing sponsored I want his firing sponsored by Meijer
It doesn't matter It's irrelevant if he did or didn't. He has concussion like symptoms after taking a vicious hit. Protocol calls for an evaluation at that point. The NFLs evaluation takes 8-12 minutes. He clearly was not properly evaluated.

The issue is a red herring. It really doesn't matter whether he was actually concussed. If you've got 20 showing and you hit and get an Ace you're still an idiot.
He has absolutely no

He has absolutely no capability to handle the media shitstorm that's coming his way.

This isn't guys asking about the spread punt or why so and so didn't play. People are going to expect a non-bullshit answer for this and he does not know how to do that. He's going to look real bad.
