Perhaps calling Wile a shitty kicker makes you feel bad, but at best, you can call him inconsistent. I wouldn't crush the kid to his face --- but on a random internet chat board about Michigan sports... not a cheerleading website, certainly one that began with firecarr.com, I don't have interest in sugarcoating it.
This team is good at NOTHING. You can be as high level as o, d and special teams or you can be as granular as passing game, or play action or tackling in space. We don't do anything well and I would prefer the coaches to show a bit more fire and NOT tell us how prepared their guys were... followed by a loss... then followed by a "we didn't execute". That is insulting to the players.
I realize its heavy coach-speak but to say that "we were incredibly prepared" but didnt "execute" puts it heavily on the players.

No it wasn't... 2 guys stood behind the line and JUMPED and the Rutgers guy who blocked it was on the sideline saying how the ball hit him basically in the elbow... pointing out how it didn't even come close to how high he got.
They knew that we had a shitty kicker and knew that he would have to do all he could to drive the kick low and hard, so they had 2 guys jump high and they blocked it.
Giving the other team credit ends when "jumping high" on a FG block is considered BRILLIANT!!
I don't know why people like Nuss's answers better than Hokes. All this.. "we've said it from day 1..." bull. Hey, NEWSFLASH - whatever the hell you thought would work since day 1.. HASNT. So, how about... well, we're struggling and we have to do better at x, y and z.
I realize I can just ignore the pressers and I actually never read them until this recent run of brilliance the past 3-4 games. Saying that "nobody works harder to prepare than Devin" is absurd. Don't say shit like that. You don't have to crush him, but to claim that he was totally prepared and then we totally sucked against a horrible team is actually more of a ding on Devin. You're basically outright saying his ceiling is low and this is the best we can hope for.... we all know it, but.. i don't want to hear everyone say how great Nuss is at protecting his players with these grandiose comments about being prepared.
I think that's a fair observation --- I hope you're right.
I wouldn't expect him to call anyone out and i guess there's no EASY way to be specific but not call out a teammate. So again, I hope you're right.
The test will be if another screen like that burns us badly. I would expect that in the future a corner will not be left out on an island against a 300 lb lineman barrelling towards him with no safety help on the way.
Not trying to be a dick --- just wish we heard more about exactly WHAT the hell is goinng wrong with this team. Defense is less of the issue... though, they look slow and are not nearly as fiesty as they were a few years ago - even if the yardage stats look nicer.

Why wouldn't they know by now - 4 days later - why one of the biggest plays of the game happened? The MLB should be ALL OVER something like this. Little things? MAYBE someone this.. MAYBE someone that??? That seems like the opposite of doing the little things. That seems like they have no idea what they did wrong and its probably going to happen again.
As a case and point -- those big curl routes last year that killed us repeatedly. Tell them what they did wrong and fix it.

I'm not sure that RR chewing Moosman's ear off about it is fair. Just tell him to cut it out and let it be done. I'm sure Moosman only did it the 2nd time because it worked the first. Hopefully its done with now.
But I don't like that Tate and denard seemed to not be focused on the snap and were already looking ahead to their first step. they need to secure the ball first on a wet slippery day. (thats what she said)
Now that RR has his players, he can use all this speed to replace the pony express.
Denard is so fast that he'll be able to run past everyone. Tressel won't know what to do because Michigan is turning into a speed team like the SEC.
Plus, on top of that, he's getting "his players"... and you can use 6 Montavious Odoms to knock down Sean Lee... then the other 4 guys can block the Tackles and Tate is "deceptively fast" and will be able to run around in circles for hours with his Barwis training and will walk in the endzone 1 time per quarter.

i would put upside down seats above the bowl so that people could yell directly down at the players... then we'd trap the noise and it would have nowhere to go. The reason that its not loud is because of the shape, not becauase nobody is yelling. this way, if i cough, pryor will have a false start, blame Boren, they'll sissy fight and we'll win.
plus, fans would have to stand up cus they'd be hanging upside down and people couldnt complain about the old people who just want to relax and have a good time.
then id take the pre-rennovation toilets and put them up there (aka troughs). I'd build a 2nd stadium above it but upside down.
if i can sell these, ill donate!
i prefer not to sell on other non UM sites or the tix are more likely to go to away team fans (PSU, Purdue, Notre garbage, etc... i dont think indiana actually has fans).
