mumbo-jumbo is killing some of the purity and endearing nature of college football. It doesn't feel as much about great traditions and traditional rivals as much as it does corporate marketing, TV deals, and nonsensical realignments. I think cfb and especially conference bigwhigs are taking a big crap on fans and are seriously exploiting their fandom. I mean, Rutgers was only added because the B1G is going to try to force NJ to put the BTN on their basic cable. That's kind of the last 5 years of CFB in a nutshell there and I can't blame people for just saying 'f*ck this' |

as odd as that sounds. Given that probably 25-50%(?) of the stadium will know that Shane Morris is the 5* QB, they would be clamoring for him to beat DG from day 1 and when he has his first 2 INT game the people would chant "BUST! BUST!" Dropping to #81 should maybe temper your average mgoreader's expectations and let Shane be Shane a bit more. Maybe I'm crazy, but I'm just remembering when everyone chanted for Mallett in the '07 Oregon game |

It's kind of nice when it happens at home but then sometimes I feel like we're stealing points. It's horrible on the road. Refs are people too and I'm sure they subletly enjoy hearing the home crowd cheer instead of boo and enjoy seeing the poor team way behind get back in it. Hard to take that human element out of it |
