| 5 hours 28 min ago | I wish we could do some |
I wish we could do some home-and-homes with bigger names so we could get to see a NoDak, BC, BU, Maine, Denver, etc at Yost. I feel like ever since we played BU like 3-4 seasons ago at Yost, the non-con schedule at Yost has been awful. |
| 1 day 6 hours ago | So like $2-3 per Michigan fan in attendance? |
Awesome. I'm sure guys in white suits are cashing their $500k checks as we speak |
| 3 days 6 hours ago | FBS should just form one MEGA-CONFERENCE |
of all 120 teams. That would maximize the televsion and marketing deals because then everyone's team would be in that conference! Obviously this creates some scheduling difficulties so I think you'd need to separate those 120 into various pods and in those pods, or "conferences" if you will, those teams will all play each other and at the end of the year teams from all of the different "conferences" can play each other. Radical, I know. |
| 4 days 2 hours ago | Big Ten should stay where we're at |
No one we could potentially add (save Notre Dame) seems to be able to bring the academic and athletic clout that we're looking for while also being in the same general geographic area. It seems like if we add another team, they should add a great deal to the conference in exchange for us letting them swim in our money vault with all of us and the BTN. I don't see that in any of the ISU's, Syracuse's, Pittsburgh's, UVA's/VT's, etc. All of those get 4 'meh's out of 5 Nebraska was a slam-dunk and I think we should be good with that |
| 4 days 17 hours ago | They all have a good point |
On that same note, we need to ban any Big Ten team from hosting a home game against a non-conference team because that is so UNFAIR! Imagine those poor teams having to come to our stadiums where a) There are not any of their fans THE INJUSTICE! Also, all Big Ten games must be played in Puerto Rico because, obviously, all home games for Big Ten teams are unfair ...my head feels like it's going to explode |
| 6 days 5 hours ago | Wow I actually like this move a lot. |
If ODU can support it, there's a ton of opportunity for them in VA. Like someone above said, the Norfolk area is loaded with talent and the only FBS schools right now are UVA and VaTech and then there's a ton of FCS schools behind them (Richmond, JMU, George Mason, W&M, VCU, etc) so if ODU can find a home above the rest of the FCS schools, I think they have a legitimate shot to be a really good non-Big 6 team ala Fresno State, TCU/Houston, UCF (just thinking of mid-majors in talent-rich states). If they can grab some of that talent in the Norfolk area, they're in business. |
| 6 days 5 hours ago | No? |
Garnett and Levenberry had both been known to have Michigan as their favorite at one point or another. Or am I imagining that |
| 6 days 16 hours ago | On that note |
I'm sure by not retaliating it pissed them off even more. By being a-holes, they're hoping to piss you off, draw a reaction, etc. If you kicked the crap out of them in your Michigan gear and they did their best to piss you off to 'get even' and you didn't respond then congratulations, they're going to be pissed off about that for the rest of their life. You win |
| 1 week 11 hours ago | I hate Dave Brandon sometimes |
Sometimes he's a genius but a lot of the time his logic is insane or just plain stupid. To actually try to plead to us that it is 'unfair' to play a cold weather game is just about the stupidest thing he could've said right behind "durp dee durp". You'd think that the fact that Dave obviously loves his cash would mean he'd be in favor of another home game. And Delaney is almost as bad. I don't know why we still think NYC is still a place we should be aiming for. I live on the east coast and no one cares about the B1G past the Penn State fans and the various B1G alums out here. I don't know why Dave Brandon and Jim Delaney both hate the idea of the Big Ten having some sort of home game (past the Pizza Bowl) in the post-season. Maybe they're both just plants from the SEC and the Rose Bowl Committee. I think that's it. |
