|3 days 9 hours ago||I was watching on the kitchen tv||
My family was eating dinner in the dining room because it was family dinner time on a Saturday evening, but I was supposed to give the play-by-play (we lived in upstate ny and couldn't get the radio feed.) My mom screamed with rage. Saturday night dinner was ruined, and the next week we returned to our regular programming of Garrison Keilor. Remember it like it was yesterday.

I'm just saying that the OP is going off anecdotal evidence, but not all anecdotal evidence agrees with him.
|1 week 5 days ago||Since we're going off anecdotal evidence||
The three alums I work with are in their 50s and 60s. They were very disappointed/had to turn off the game Saturday, but very much like Hoke. They think he's done a good job and is great for the kids.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||No politics!||
Don't want anyone to start calling for his impeachment around here...
|2 weeks 3 days ago||I'm fine with this||
If the game were being rescheduled, I would think they should sit out this week, but as it's not, whatever. The punishment of being suspended was real, and if the players can't learn their lesson despite a cancellation, I don't think an extra week was going to really matter anyway. Since their punishment was announced, they expected to not play last Saturday, and that's what occurred. The only wrinkle is that no one played.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||Good luck and a healthy resolution||
To whatever caused his Leave of Absence. As someone who needed to take a break during his sophomore year, I feel for him. It was a tough enough time without it being discussed on blogs by people who'd never met me.

Tate Forcier didn't do Michigan's QB depth any favors in 2011 or 2012, either.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||An "El Bee"||
Is perfectly correct, if unfortunate news.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||Challenge him ice-bucket style||
Someone else eats a lemon and challenges him. Other mgobloggers then also wind up eating lemons. Some charity gets money and lemon prices skyrocket.
|3 weeks 7 hours ago||Bolden started||
Both by announcement and on the play. Brian would show Ohio-level cowardice to back out.
|3 weeks 7 hours ago||What technicality is that?||
Bolden didn't cover the opening kick?
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Indeed||
Although the article does imply that he'll miss next week's game at least, and so is at least relevant to Michigan.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||What phone do you have?||
An iPhone with the iMessage feature might have trouble getting through, because that relies on a decent data connection. But simple texts are typically the easiest to receive, even with overloaded cells and poor reception (and accordingly is how you should try to communicate during a natural disaster.)

Joey Galloway would be proud.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||"The female in the booth"||
That's phrased a little awkwardly, don't you think?
|3 weeks 2 days ago||With Funchess||
Coming backing to win a Second National Championship after an All-American year, because that's what Michigan men do. Cole will also redshirt.
Fixed it for you.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Good thing he committed to Michigan||
Other schools might have dropped him.
|4 weeks 6 days ago||I hope this is worst thing he does in his life||
Not trying to be dismissive of his actions. Just hoping that he learns from this and succeeds elsewhere, instead of finding further and even more severe trouble.
|4 weeks 6 days ago||I hear loving||
Is popular in Virginia too.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||Nanu Nanu||
Watching some Mork and Mindy tonight in his honor.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||Maybe Thomas can just redshirt this year?||
Give him another year to figure things out, and make up for last year's wasted redshirt.
|6 weeks 4 days ago||If Funchess doesn't leave early||
Can you imagine next year's receiving corps? It could be epic.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||Nonsense||
The reason Spurrier plays ECU is he can always make it a home game, whereas against power conferences, even lesser-tiered members, the demand will be a home-and-home split. Best they can get is a 2-for-1.
|7 weeks 2 days ago||If he did, he has no clue what he's talking about||
A tower runs you a couple hundred k, and they're likely not putting in full towers that are high enough to provide coverage for many miles, but rather small cells to provide capacity during games. In the world of wireless (which is my industry) that doesn't even make the ledger.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||I've got Hoyer in my keeper league||
So I'm hoping he's right. (yeah, I know, I'm screwed, and cool story bro.)
|7 weeks 5 days ago||Not on blocking assignments||
Which seems to be the critical area of separation between the two.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||Have they started fall practice yet?||
I don't think they have. If not, "had" means "the last time I was allowed to see then on the field, Smith was in the lead." Not much more to be read into it than that, other than the difference is small enough that practice leading up to the season will help decide it heading into the first game.
|7 weeks 6 days ago||Could be buckled for awhile||
We're unequivocally in the lead, but he wants to take officials, so probably won't commit until sometime in the fall.
|7 weeks 6 days ago||Fine, RR gets credit for 11-2||
But then he also gets blamed for no upper classmen two years on a row.
|7 weeks 6 days ago||It'd be sad if it got him fired||
Or maybe you're right, a team of primarily sophomores on offense should be expected to win 75% of its games. Because that happens a lot.
