Yup, cannon!  Also loved seeing him relay from outfielder to home.

Felt his hitting was super clutch too.  Anyway, he should've been in with Tram.

If the problem can be fixed, why worry?  If the problem cannot be fixed, what is the point of worrying?

Make good choices.

I'll go with 35-6

I know, right?  Geesh.

Hire Juwan Howard!

Keep as many current assistants as possible.  Take advantage of the amazing basketball culture that Coach B built -- allow Juwan to gain some head coaching experience.  He will be able to recruit.  He can learn the college recruiting restrictions with the other assistants in place.

Hire Juwan!

Great write up - Thanks!

I'm wondering if we'll see more P&R from the #2 and #4, Poole and Livers ...

Good point

about the other point guards on the list.  I still can't believe Z didn't make BIG all-defensive team.  Maybe he can get some national recognition for his defense ...

Don't settle

I hope we don't settle for too many jump shots and try to attack inside.  We are a very good free-throw shooting and we should attack their bigs a bit.

Kenpom loves Tennessee

I was surprised to see Kenpom ranks Tennessee #8 even though they had 12 losses.  I guess they are balanced offensively and defensively.

Silverlight

I seem to have a lot of problems with Silverlight on my mac.  What is the deal on that?

Team

He was signed by St. Louis, right?  ....Titus Young, former St. Louis Ram....

Hmm...

Hmm... a lot less trapping than I thought.  Crisp passing was key to some of those breakdowns.  I'd like to see GRob in high post and TJH at the top initiating with TB on a wing w/ threat of dribble penetration on the wing against the off guard/forward

Offensive Rebounds

I'm wondering how good of a defensive rebounding team Syracuse is and whether we'll have Oreb chances out of their zone.  I don't think Syr is going to push the pace so it seems like we'll really have to crash the boards and box out MCW.

I was surprised

I was surprised that O.co is more of a pitchers' park than Comerica:

http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/parkfactor

Comerica is pretty much middle of the pack.

Stream

Anyone know if there is a stream for this game?

Go Wings!

Don't worry

Don't worry.  They know what they are doing.  The conversation went like this:

SM:  Coach, what receivers do you want?

CH:  I can't comment on any potential players before LOIs are signed.  But in general we want receivers that are tall, fast, hungry, physical, tough, and that love UM.

SM:  Okay, coach, I'll see what I can do.

FO

I think FO is Fouls On, i.e. how many times that player was fouled by the other team.

Kanter looks

good - would be a good pick for the Jazz.  How did Memo do this year?

I could see

that working out but I'd hate it if they field a team with Parker, Stuckey, Gordon, and WIll Bynum and no true center.

I don't see a great move for the Pistons here.  I think the trade down for two picks would provide more options.  Jeremy Tyler is a project and risk but could be a value pick at 23

A trade for Tony Parker

would be an absolute disaster and i would jump on the fire Dumars bandwagon.

Trade down for two first round picks please.

Paul Revere

No, that was Paul Revere's warning to the British - go back or die.  Sorry to bust your chops but historical accuracy and all that.

Another Trade

Maybe they are going to trade another reliever for an infielder (third baseman)?  Otherwise, this doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.

Good Luck Tate

Loved the ND win his freshman year.

Yeah...

there's no "I" in wings.  Oh.  Um... they lost their wings?

Good one.

Thanks...

but I stole it from Ralph Waldo Emerson

You might be right

You might be right.

I do hate the look of the helmet stickers first and foremost.  Everytime I see other teams with the stickers, I think it looks tacky and I'm grateful we don't use them.

Perhaps I was being lazy when I referenced the "team" quote above.

Regardless of what Bo thought about the stickers, I personally believe that the stickers weaken the team concept.  I'm all for internal recognition among teammates and the coaches for great plays but I think that: (1) making it public; and (2) making it "permanent" (for the season) both place way too much emphasis on individual aspects over the team.  Also, it just seems petty to me -- as if players cared more about stickers than wins.

I understand that other fans may disagree and ultimately it is probably just a matter of taste

I don't like your logic either

The logical conclusion being that ... Michigan footbal ... is ... helmet stickers?

I'll go with UM = iconic; helmet stickers - not.

I agree

I agree.  The helmet stickers were a mistake.

As pointed out, Bo started the stickers at Miami.  Perhaps by the time he delivered the famous "team" comment, he'd realized by then that the stickers had run their course.

Anyway, a foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds.

No Stickers

I personally hate the stickers.

The team, the team, the team.

For the record

Good luck Darius!

We wish you the best -- you will always be part of the Michigan family.

Thanks!

Thanks for the analysis and discussion.  You've convinced me that there is still hope we can make it as an at-large team.

PSU is going to be a tough game -- we had our hands full here in AA (though the students were out of town so the crowd wasn't its best).  I do like the way we've played lately, so hopefully we can contain Battle and beat them on the road.

Mark May

"Pac-10 blah blah blah.  Yes, Pac-10 blah blah blah.  Blah blah blah blah Pac-10."

Stop already - we get it.

Thanks!

Love the series so far.

Thanks for putting all of this together - it will make MGoBlog a more informed and educated forum - and it will make football more interesting and enjoyable!

Thanks!

Will Campbell

We need Will Campbell to be a disruptive force, not just a rotation player.  That is the only way I see our defense having any hope of stopping power run games.  Campbell and Martin in there together.

Campbell

Will Campbell has to be a beast this year for us.  Otherwise, I'm worried.

Fugitive

Fugitive and Witness both better than AFO.

By the way, didn't HF's wife or ex-wife write the screenplay to Seven Years in Tibet?

Thx

"You know the school" Wasn't it Woodson who for a while introduced himself with: "You know the school" It was a couple of years after he won the Heisman - I used to love that.
Jerekbo I've been impressed with Jerekbo. I like Tay a lot but Jerekbo's hustle is exciting and he doesn't hold the ball the way Tay does. There are nights where he will be a better match-up than Tay given his better athleticism.
What's YOUR deal? lol
Cazzie Russel Hard to believe Cazzie Russel never had a triple double.
I'll take it At this point, we need the practice time a bowl allows - any bowl!
DLine Arrrrggh. Hopefully we can still get another big time DLine commitment.
DL Thanks for the update. I'm still hoping that we can get a DL for 2010 - that is going to be an area of serious need. BlueRoses
