If any students want to sell their tickets for the Nebraska game let me know looking for four

Just got a German Shepherd

Just got a German Shepherd and went through the same problem. I went with Charlie after Charles Woodson.

We're scary thin at TE we

We're scary thin at TE we NEED to take 3 in this class IMO. Especially because Borges loves to have athletic TE's

6 teams. 2 play in games,

6 teams. 2 play in games, which would lead to a final four style. Winners play eachother.

I'm just glad we don't have

I'm just glad we don't have to worry about this kind of stuff anymore. We have a bright future ahead. Go Blue!

Sam Adams Oktoberfest, with

Sam Adams Oktoberfest, with the weather how it has been lately, you can't do anything else but have some sort of Octoberfest.

Very good first interview

Very good first interview Ace, hope we can continue with the great OL recruiting into next year, and it looks like that is a real possibility.

Breathe, in through the nose,

Breathe, in through the nose, out of the mouth. He'll gain weight, he's going to be used as a west coast type full back. He'll be catching passes out of the back field, and doing rollout blocks. He can be a little smaller, he'll be 230-245 by the time he graduates regardless.

Glad to have him, if not for

Glad to have him, if not for the name but also it proves that the new staff is really going to put in the power run game, which really excites me.

Congrats Sione!

As a HS WR coach can tell you

As a HS WR coach can tell you there a lot of things to like about this kid, especially because he hasn't even played as a senior yet. I also have a few concerns though.

Positives:
Willingness to go anywhere on the field to make a play. Sharp route runner for a HS Junior, it will only get better, he creates separation with just a quick jolt gotta love that. He catches the ball away from his body which is a bonus. He is willing to block, not very good and far as hand placement goes ( just from watching a couple plays on his film though).

Negatives:
I almost caught myself yelling at his highlight film, his running backward to make a play won't last when he gets to the next level, but that is coachable. Seems like more of a possession guy at the next level, although he makes a lot of plays, now I think he may have to adjust his game at the next level.

All in all I think he is a good prospect, and it's a good offer. I hope we get him because with good coaching he could be an all Big 10'er. Thanks for reading my small film break down lol.

Go Blue!

If we strike out on Mauk and

If we strike out on Mauk and Kiel I would expect the coaches to evaluate players this fall. Similar to what they did with Bellomy, they could pull a late offer to a guy with a not a stellar offer list and grab one within the last month if they're dead set on taking a QB, which it seems they are.

Sounds very positive for

Sounds very positive for Michigan. Oline recruiingt is moving quickly, hopefully Kalis and Diamond get on board. Would like to have Bars too, there's too many option. Tom could you get a sense on where he is leaning?

As always, I'm sure he'll

As always, I'm sure he'll have them posted in the weekly update.

Tom any "good feelings" on

Tom any "good feelings" on either of them?

So do we make room for both I

So do we make room for both I guess would be next question lol

I know everyone would love to

I know everyone would love to get Shittu and Pipkins, but who is more skilled. I know the sites have Shittu getting more love but from what I've heard Pipkins has had great camps. I'm more of a pads type of guy and Shittu seems to have passed that test.  ( not saying Pipkins hasn't)Just wondering  who has more upside and who would be the bigger get. And as always, thanks Tom for the great work, and all the info this week.

We're in Pittman's top 5 I've

We're in Pittman's top 5 I've read a couple places that we may lead for him.

I went to the same high

I went to the same high school as Krenzel, he's a very smart smart and approachable guy, not surprised at all to hear him say this. At least there is one clear thinking Buckeye, probably because he's from Michigan.

I didn't realize that Durron

I didn't realize that Durron Neal was that interested in Michigan. Any inside info you can share on him? I guess him being in MO we won't hear too much about him. Thanks.

Once again, I thought the

Once again, I thought the same thing. Big kid would be a nice fit for a west coast offense FB IMO.

Gant was offered as a safety,

Gant was offered as a safety, he shouldn't have much too much say about what Richardson, Standifer or Morgan do, as all are offered as corners, and according to Standifer the coaches said they want 3 corners.

IIRC Talbott had an issue

IIRC Talbott had an issue with his back. Is he expected back by the season? For some reason I thought he would be out for the year. Could be wrong though.

This kids film is extremely

This kids film is extremely impressive for a high school sophomore. He would be a high 3 star this year in my opinion. There are a few things he can work on obviously, but the sky is the limit for this kid. Let's hope he can get in the ears of some 2012 WR recruits *Dorial Green* (wishful thinking I know). Great job by the coaching staff.

GO BLUE

Yeah, it's hard to see him

Yeah, it's hard to see him not growing he is only a high school sophomore. Whatever position he lined up in the film he looked like he could eventually contribute at the next level. Good to see the coaches starting to get the ball rolling for the future classes.

Scout says that he was

Scout says that he was offered as a TB, and they want to use him as a Brandon Jacobs type back.

Tom, do you get a feeling

Tom, do you get a feeling that he is strongly considering us, or is he just keeping his "options" open?

Pipkins would be a good pick

Pipkins would be a good pick up. We need as many DT's as we can get

Washington is starting to

Washington is starting to notice Michigan. This is paywalled but he says he is liking the coaching staff and will consider Michigan, here's to hoping.

Wow! That would be an amazing

Wow! That would be an amazing get. I think it says a lot who is going to be looked at very closely in his decision if he is visiting here this quickly.

I agree even at fullback

I agree even at fullback though I would like him to be taller, there are still other fullbacks I would take before him. As a last option I think it would be an decent pick up. Nothing against him, I just don't see a need to offer him this early in the process.

I agree, he does not show

I agree, he does not show very good change of direction to make the cutbacks needed at the next level. That said he is slippery and the coaches may also be looking at him for FB. As a running back though I don't think we should fill a spot for a back that isn't one of the elite this year.

Tom, there is a leak on the

Tom, there is a leak on the scout forums that there are two silents. Do you have any info on it that you can confirm?

I've heard only one other

I've heard only one other name at this point. The coaches are giving the post-spring evaluataions, so now would be the time to see them popping up.

Good post, I agree with a lot

Good post, I agree with a lot that you said. If RR would have won more big game he would still be here, and that is what I like about the new staff is their emphasis on defense.

Go Blue!

Do you prefer O'Connor or

Do you prefer O'Connor or Appleby?

I think that one would have

I think that one would have to say that we should expect 7 games, anything after that is good coaching and the players taking to the new system.

We obviously have much better

We obviously have much better potential talent than NW, but with it being our first road game and with the new system that could be a trap game.

Magnus what do you think

Magnus what do you think about Tyler O'Connor? I watched his film and he seems to have a strong arm and good mechanics. I don't know if Hoke and Co. has shown him much interest but he looks like someone to me that if we miss on the top 3 (mauk pike and Kiel) we should take a look at.

Here's his scout page: http://michigan.scout.com/a.z?s=162&p=8&c=1&nid=5424418

Diggs is listed as the #2

Diggs is listed as the #2 safety on scout. Both he and Brown are scheduled to be here for the spring game.

Magnus, how do you think that

Magnus, how do you think that Pike will translate to college? Elite level or a solid starter? in other words are we looking at a possible heisman winner or a good system quarterback?

Unless I'm mistaken if he

Unless I'm mistaken if he goes blue he won't be participating in spring this season. Only early enrolee can I believe.

Go Blue Rawls!

Just optimistic, we have what

Just optimistic, we have what 11 or 12 commits? I think it is pretty reasonable to assume we get 5 or 6 more commits at least.

what are the numbers for this

what are the numbers for this class? still 18-20? With all these news guys in the mix it really looks like we can hit 17 at least. This is very exciting. GO HOKE!

may have missed it

but when was his decision date, if it was even set?

@TomVH Tom VanHaaren

I
Tom VanHaaren
I have confirmed there is a players meeting tomorrow at 4 pm, but can't confirm what it's for.
Thanks Magnus! If I knew how

Thanks Magnus! If I knew how to +1 you I'd do it. Not that you need it though.

Makes sense then why he was

Makes sense then why he was burning everyone, not taking anything away from him though, he looks like a hell of a player. Any other D1 talent on the Crespi team? Devin seemed to have automatic interest in Michigan, hopefully some more guys to pull from there, maybe even in 2012.

Very much improved from his

Very much improved from his junior year, looks like he could impact as soon as Stonum and co. leave. Does anyone know the level of competition? He looks like he is a far superior athlete than everyone he was playing against.
