Yes, maybe these guys wouldn't have done this without the help of the FBI since they lacked the capabilities but they sure lept at the opportunity (And do you really want those kind of guys in the open?). And it creates a scenrio where people are hesitant to get involved in the first place since they fear someone involved might be an undercover agent.

For what student athletes contribute to the university (and I'm pretty sure revenue sports are the only sports that are accepting kids that don't have all the knowledge they should at that point in life), I think we could at least give them the opportunity to succeed. It works out for the majority of them.
Regardless, the problem needs to be addressed at the root. Not after high school. Addressing the issue after highschool would result in an even greater proliferation of the problem.
While I generally agree that the standards for student atheletes should be more stringent, its hard to justify penalizing students who were maybe not given the opportunity to excell academically. A lot of atheltes come from schools which have very poor academics compared to the general student body of Michigan. I think one of the best things about college sports is it allows for athletes from poorer backgrounds to create a future by themselves, without relying on teachers to give them the information to succeed; since a lot of the time they do not have those resources.
We accept atheltes who have obviously put in an exceptional amount of work to get where they are atheletically. They clearly have the drive and work ethic to succeed. Just because their enviroment, which they often do not have any control of, didn't allow them to learn everything they should have in highschool shouldn't deprive them of the opportunity to come to a world class instituiton and reach their full potential. Obviously if they do lack the aformentioned characterisitcs then they take the route of Tate and the system ultimately gave them an opportunity that they failed to capitalize on. Which I think is much better than not giving them the opportunity at all.
Not taking Chem after 10th grade is pretty normal and a lot of very good schools don't even offer AP classes... doesnt seem like the most well written article.
I did a quick search for some tickets for myself and, compared to any other game this season, the wisco tickets seem to be in very high demand. There are more people wanting than offering.
This being said, there is no doubt you will be able to scalp some tickets but they will be pretty over priced.
Best way to get tickets before a game is to scour craigslist and facebook for students trying to sell their tickets.

He said he doesn't even know why the award exists when its a team sport, and the only award he is worried about is the superbowl ring. Whereas Vick said he should be the leading candidate for the award.

I have already received all my grades and my last exam was the 21st. They grade everything before the staff/gsi's go on break, most the same day they exam is taken. Just because we don't know who is ineligible doesn't mean they don't.

I really have grown to hate the "we aren't the best, fire the coach" attitude people have now-a-days.
People who know nothing about anything have much too much pull in decisions purely due to the information era and the ability of the majority(who are unknowledgeable fans) to be heard over the minority(who actually have the intellect to assess the situation based on criteria other than wins).
The amount of coach firings going on is ridiculous.
The epitome of this is the giants embarrassing loss and everyone calling for Tom Coughlin to be fired literally hours later. Thank god sports aren’t democratic.
Good to see Desmond making a rational for keeping Rich Rod even though he has been visibly disappointed with the team.
The million dollar question is why we keep discussing the exact same thing in a million threads when everyone knows exactly the same thing. Wait for someone informed to update us instead of speculating with the same information everyone else has.
