Even Sam Webb has called Devin out at times for his takes on Cade at times. For example when he took the time to rag on Cade after the Ohio State game. While he excused JJs poor play against MSU Hell Devin couldn't even get Cades name right for the first half of the season. Devin for whatever reason has a very clear axe to grind with Cade
I don't think you can put the fumble from today on Cade. He was hit from the blind side before he had a chance to get rid of the ball. JJ or almost any other qb fumbles that ball as well. But you don't see Cade running around waving the ball around in one hand as JJ does at times.
I disagree on the communication portion. Many times I saw the back in place to block the Blitzer and just half ass it. Give half a shoulder and get out of the way.
I bet Josh Jackson figured it would go that way for him as well. Harbaugh is a great recruiter and you cant complain about the level of talent he has brought in at all. But family ties to the program for the kid doesnt seem to affect Jimmy to much.
Did you miss the part where Beilein says "we had one transfer in conference"? Is it mostly refering to mid majors yes but he does throw that in there and its not as a compliment.
Not having Caris and Spike had a huge impact. I don't intend to downplay that at all. I just think this team is better with Max than with out him. Would it be as big a factor if Caris and Spike were playing no it would not be.
Some would say he was a difference maker for Indiana. Would we be a final four contender if he stayed probably not. But I think we are safely in the tournament not sweating out the bubble and a play in game if he stays.
I never said he was pushed out unfairly and unjustly. He got his 4 years that he was promised. I also never said I wanted Beilein fired. I like Beilein. I don't think he was a mean nasty evil person for not giving Beifeldt a 5th year. All I have said is that Beilein has come out strongly anti grad transfer right after Max left. Maybe that is coincidence or maybe Beilein is pissed that he could have brought back the 6 man of the year and chose to let him transfer instead.
Isn't one of the requirements of the 5th year transfer that you get admitted to a grad program? If the player doesn't take full advantage of that it is on them. I don't see not finishing grad school in one year as a reason to get rid of the transfer rule. If you don't want a player to transfer give them more playing time etc.
I like Beilein I think he is a hell of a coach and has a ton of integrity. Not trying to say anything different here. I had just never heard him be critical of grad transfers before Max and have scene multiple times this year after Max left were he has been critical.
