I own a 2014 outback with around 60k miles on it. Do you know if its obvious when the timing belt needs to be changed from wear? Or is it best to just proactively do it before 100k?
Old obviously. But hoping that this is a sort of '2 steps back so we can make 10 steps forward' type deal. The old one sounded like it was at the end of the road with the ability to make improvements. Supposedly 3.0 has lots of abilities for improvements. Hopefully they happen.
And yeah - it would be really nice if there was some kind of communication to the effect - "Hey, we're aware of the giant pile of suckiness that is being complained about. X and Y and Z are going to be fixed. A, B and C aren't changing - get used to it". But...free site and all that - so not getting too worked up about it.
If you don't know much about cars - is there any general advice for a good way to finding a good/fair mechanic? Every time I take my car in, I'm not sure if I'm getting ripped off or not. If anyone has any favorites in the Ann Arbor area - I'd love to hear them.
Make sure to include how many Top Gold Medals Chef Jan won. He may not be impressed with just a single gold medal, but a 6 time winner is pretty convincing.
A bit "special" circumstances here. Will be in Petoskey for the weekend, heading home (Ann Arbor) on Saturday. We have a 6 month old. Ideally we find somewhere quiet-ish to watch the game in Petoskey area before heading home afterwards. Not so interested in a loud place with a thousand TVs (BW3-ish). Any advice?
My wife and I and kid live in Ann Arbor, and it appears to be some kind of rite of passage to own a Subaru around here - so we're currently looking at them (ok - its actually because we want a safe vehicle, larger than our civic, that's good in weather).
They seem to have a reputation for being expensive to repair/maintain...is that accurate? What about the dreaded head gasket problem that everyone talks about? Was that only on older models?
Has anyone looked at Subarus (forester or outback) and ended up getting something else? If so, what did you buy?
He would simply cause a torrential downpour whenever the opponent was on offense. Greg Mattison could still do the actual coordinating - but it would be much easier when the offense is basically blinded by the rain.
Oh yeah - and he would hold OSU to around 14 pts/game.

That site looks like its run by a single person. Is your name Chris Agee?
you don't need to go to the gym to stay fit.
Christian "the burner" Turner is about to drop some muscle relaxant on some poor badgers!

We're 8-0 and have looked quite good the majority of the time. Anyone who is panicking must hate everything. Must be a depressing way to live.

I'm hoping for the "playing dead" play. One of the all time greats!
Can't disagree with a lot of the ones that have been mentioned so far. A few additions:
- Nepal, watching the sun rise over the Himalayas
- Maasai Mara in Kenya
Also pretty tough to beat anywhere on Lake Michigan or Lake Superior in the less busy areas.
too low.

So UM has already definitively had a better season than MSU right?
Everyone knows fictional talking monkeys are much more preferable when looking places for advice.

Man, am i the only one who determines arbitrary rooting interests based on the physical appearance of the team's coach?
It was a joke. sort of.
