but Mourinho's philosophy on how to win clashes with ManU's philosphy doesn't it?
ManU is a great gig, but right now the talent level and depth there is probably the lowest its been in the 16 or 17 years I've been following along.

seems like a cool idea.
|17 hours 59 min ago||Crisler hosted until 1989||
Then The Palace hosted for four years, Breslin hosted its first semi's and finals weekend in 1994. Breslin hosted some of the semi-final games but not the finals for the first couple years it was open.
The MHSAA home office was on Trowbridge Rd about two blocks away, it moved the finals to EL (mostly) for convenience and its central location. The MHSAA offices are still only a couple miles further North in EL.

as anyone but the Breslin is the perfect location for the MHSAA finals being centrally located in the state and can handle those rare games that everyone wants to see. I'd much rather have them in EL than AA.
The only thing I wish would happen is a separate floor without the Spartan logos for the MHSAA.

but my understanding is the MSU and East Lansing police were much more culpable.

most of this comment is largely out of context. Not sure he's actually supporting Briles here.
|1 day 3 hours ago||lost respect for him||
when he started toeing the company line Tressel was selling. His Les Miles to Michigan stuff was indefensible as an impartial journalist. Bigger and better men would have removed themselves from that conversation, Herbstreet stoked the fire. Just haven't really respected him since then as a commentator.

Nunn-domestic battery March 17'ish
Jaylon Tate misdemeanor domestic abuse that same week
Leron Black, aggravated assault, unclear when the offense occured but it was within a week or two of the end of season
Darius Paul was dismissed from the team the previous Fall for "misconduct" on a team trip

Hayden Fry built his 80's programs with numerous New Jersey kids.
It really isn't a new thing to hit New Jersey for talent. And yes I believe its overblown.

is a very balanced baseball league. Very little difference between the 1-10 teams. Even #11 Rutgers is holding on to a .500 overall record.
Minnesota, leading the BIG, lost a mid-week game to South Dakota St.
Michigan is hurt by not playing Purdue in the Big Ten schedule, though they benefit by not playing Indiana. Still I'd rather have 3 games against a truly awful Purdue.
Michigan is essentially tied with Ohio State, Michigan State and Nebraska, All 3 of those teams have played Purdue.

the Colorado administration made recruiting the kind of "athletes" McCartny brought to Boulder a lot more difficult. Colorado being the power they were for that brief decade plus ever again is unlikely.
Colorado had a lot of issues, some plublicized, most not. Similar to Baylor if you catch the drift.

avoiding certain games when a pair of announcers is doing a game. If the game is lopsided or kind of meh to begin with I'll just skip it and go watch something else. I am particularly not fond of Ed Cunningham who I think is just an absolutely horrible color guy. Brock Huard isn't very good either.
The pairing of Fowler and Herbstreit has definately cut down on my late ESPN/ABC watching. Herbie is great, Fowler not so much. He was a much better studio analyst.
Back in the late 80's and 90's if Keith Jackson or Ron Franklin were doing a game I would watch just because they were doing them.
|1 week 2 days ago||Disney (owners of ESPN and ABC) announced||
earlier this year they would have to cut "personality costs" for ESPN this year. Tirico and Speilman are just part of that process.
The only people at ESPN who should feel safe are probably the long time people like Berman who have been there since the start and probably had job guarantees written into the purchase agreeement.
Also should help explain why it was so damn easy for ESPN to can Schilling. Gave them a reason, boom, gone.

Oregon was worse than Rutgers as a program. If you work at it and give the head coach great resources, anybody can be good.
Will Rutgers (or Maryland) get to that point? Probably not mostly because of the obstacle of their division. Doesn't mean they can't become respectable.
If you'd told me State would be where they are now 20 years ago, I would have laughed at you.
|2 weeks 3 hours ago||That AC play...||
My first year when I really cared about Michigan football. I was too young to understand how impossible this play happening was. I just thought Anthony Carter was the greatest ever super hero from that point on and Johnny Wangler was perhaps the greatest quarterback to ever quarterback that would ever live. I was 9
The things AC could do, and with the relatively few opportunities he had to do them was simply amazing. He would blow up the internet today.
