ESPN was big on hockey when they had the playoffs. Since they don't have the contract they barely cover the sport.
ESPN also used to show highlights without bias or commentary. Now Sportscenter is unwatchable with 15 minutes of highlites, sometimes missing important ones, and 45 minutes talking about or over analying those highlites or some stupid incident that had nothing to do with the outcome.
Its pretty much trash these days.

forgets the 86 Iowa(9-3) game, a 20-17 Michigan win in the rain on a last second kick by Bergeron. Hayden Fry's Hawkeyes were always a big challenge back then. The year before Harbaugh drove them inside the 5 for the put-away TD and then Thomas Wilcher fumbled it away and Iowa kicked a last second FG to win the #1 vs #2 battle.
Harbaugh is probalby one of very few QB's who can say they beat Miami and Florida State in their career.

has been dead to me a sports news organization for several years. Not much more than an entertainment channel now.
|1 day 3 hours ago||The reality||
is Michigan declined under his watch. With all of Michigan's resources and having some top notch facilities he failed on the heels of the RR embarrasment. You don't get another job under those circumstances, at least not right away.
Maybe next year, maybe later but Brady is essentially Tyrone Willingham after Washington.

been tied up in someone's basement during this? Maybe I haven't watched enough ESPN but I haven't heard much from the buckeye bunch at the world wide leader.

breeching these NFL rules is a fine. The Raiders may feel its worth paying the fine if they end up with a coach like Harbaugh.
I would not totally rule this out.

a series of quotes from two of the biggest a holes in college football leading up to the Michigan State game.
|1 day 20 hours ago||Yes||
the context was wrong.
Gold feels he was misquoted because the whole quote wasn't used and described with the question asked. Gold also felt he was asked a question in a casual conversation off the record. The writer insists he didn't misqoute Gold, but in my opinion has never been genuine about completely using the quote wrong.
Anyway, Ebling sucks at writing still and the other guy still has job writing bad articles still.
|1 day 22 hours ago||I learned to ignore||
most of Jack's writing back high school.
The pissing match you're thinking of involved another writer who quoted Ian Gold. Debate still rages on whether Gold was quoted properly. He says he didn't say it, the writer to this day says he does. At that time the LSJ published an aritcle based on a quote that Gold says was "off camera" in the hallway and it pissed of Sparty, because everything did back then too. The writer wrote a story using the quote even though he didn't have it on tape. Ultimately it was Ebling who allowed the quote to be published without the quote being on tape which meant they couldn't provide evidence Gold said what he did.
Michigan stood behind Gold and said the writer made it up. etc etc etc.

is still one of the worst writers out there.

thats a young Cam Cameron behind Bo

about being serious about football.

makes me want to die sometimes. Specifically peoples access to message boards
|3 days 20 hours ago||Geez||
people just run with anything these days.

and limited as a pocket passer. He needs a full spread offense
|4 days 2 hours ago||if that doesn't||
perhaps a last dance with mary jane will help.
|4 days 19 hours ago||Former players||
son, no doubt.
|4 days 19 hours ago||Nuss is in a good||
situation there because Florida's offense was so damn bad this year. Its a lot like Casteel at Arizona, there was no way to screw that up because they were already so bad on defense. Nuss has the same situation at Florida even marginally better will be praised.

I had something clever. But nope. You guys killed me
|5 days 13 hours ago||He didn't wow||
me and his play calling left much to be desired.
|5 days 13 hours ago||I honestly||
can't wait until his Sr. Day. Such perserverance and determination and just amazing loyalty showed by John Beilein.
|5 days 18 hours ago||If he showed interest||
in Wisconsin then he's probably shown interest in Michigan. He's probably on 'the list' somewhere.
|5 days 18 hours ago||I'd be ok||
with Legends jerseys for one game a year. But they shouldn't be permanent. I'd like the new guys to have a chance to make a number famous themselves.
No one at Michigan gave a damn about #21 until Desmond Howard.

this with "and then Harbaugh realized what an a-hole" Brandon was.
Our scapegoat would be complete then.

still posting these before lunch. Damn it.

I grew up in an era where media people weren't complete ass-clowns
|6 days 20 hours ago||This is a last ditch||
effort by the Niners to see if Harbaugh has trade value. One thing is sure Jim's tenure in SF is over one way or the other.
next Tuesday Jim become's a free man and I suspect many owners and GM's are lining up their pay packages right now.
Within 9 days we'll know where we stand with JIm and if we have shot at him.
