at the Auburn/LSU game tried to catch a kickoff through the endzone and caught it right in the face, eliciting an audible ohhhhhhhhh on the broadcast. Laid her out flat.

convinced some colleges do this to themselves just to illicit discussion from their students, make them think about important issues rather than just swig beers 5 nights a week.

like yours walking out of the stadium. But a second watch and I think Speight had a really good day. He might have missed 3 or 4 badly but he zipped in a number of tough ones as well and converted big 3rd downs all day long. PSU ran a couple blitzes that Michigan picked up poorly that caused some of his bad or hurried throws. Better than C in my eyes

Strong was hired by the previous AD who is now gone. Those are always tenuous situations at best especially at schools like Texas where big money donors have a lot of influence.
Strong has one other signature win when they beat an 11-2 Oklahoma team last year that wen to the playoff (somehow). Otherwise its been a lot of losses of the double-digit variety that have rankled the alums.
IMHO, Strong has to have a good to great year to keep that job, otherwise they cut ties and move on. Something like 9 or 10 wins, losing to Cal did not help him at all.

have a deep history of hiring the next great coordinator as head coach, many have failed or are failing. LSU has mostly avoided that travesty but if they're willing to hire Gary DiNardo once upon a time from Vanderbilt there are a lot of directions this job opening could go.
Not sure LSU is the top notch job people think it is, it wasn't great for the 15 years before Saban got there and Les just kind of continued on down that same path. He's more than held his own, LSU fans have simply forgotten how bad it used to be.

was a good match up 2 years ago when PSU won 26-24, then they fell off the face of the Earth for a year. I don't doubt this years matchup would be a lot closer than PSU would like to believe.

Michigan fans were thrilled they hired the "hot coach", someone who would "do wonders at a bigger program with better talent".

I think MSU set a very bad prescedent for themselves. Sadler isn't the first time that university tried to get good publicity for itself through tragedy. Maybe you have to live here and be able to see through their immense pile of bullshit publicity moves. The biggest being using a little blonde girl dieing from cancer to show what a good human being their rapist star center on the basketball team was.
Are they going to induct a player of different color into their hall of fame for essentially dieing tragically? and use his death as motivation for their season the same way they did Sadler. Show everybody what great family people they are, I am betting they won't.

Arlington Heights, Oh, one of the nicest and wealthiest towns in America. He lives in Tennessee because his wife demanded the move away from his girlfriend.

that game, I completely agree with Jimbo, FSU looked totally anad completely unprepared for that game on both sides of the ball.
|3 days 9 hours ago||his interference||
in a freaking murder investigation at Central Michigan should have been that point you found him despicable.
|3 days 9 hours ago||its Notre Dame||
yes they would fire him
|3 days 9 hours ago||Well it is||
the scholarship reductions did and have hurt.
it is that programs negatively recruit against PSU, because there's a lot of god damn ammunition to fire about them the last 10 years.
It is the coaches because Franklin looks next to clueless most of the time and his game management and decision making is hilariously bad. How the fuck he ever won in the SEC is amazing.
Hackenburg was a terrible QB, but once upon a time a media mouth said Hackenburg will be a great pro, (it was probably Millen) and PSU fans bought into that hype and expectation that he could never live up to behind that awful offensive line and less than quality coaching staff.
The media?, whatever, for PSU fans pre-Big 10 they were the media darlings of the Northeast, big fish in the little pond beating up on Maryland, Rutgers, Syracuse, West Virginia and Pittsburgh. When they joined a bigger pond with bigger fish the media and the rest of us just simply learned that big bad Penn State wasn't really that big and bad.

has the same problem we had for awhile, because they're Notre Dame their recruits get higher rankings. Actually its been that way for ND recruits for a very long time going back to the 1980's when Tom Lemming and known ND fan started his high school players rankings and basically fostered the industry
I watch ND and I don't see the wealth of talent their rankings say they have. ON the other hand, its been very clear they can't coach a defensive backfield for a few years now and they have been nowhere near as sharp as a well coached team should be elsewhere.
|3 days 9 hours ago||Will be interesting||
to see if MSU inducts him into their hall of fame like Sadler. Played on the same Rose Bowl team.

is excellent. Offense, kind of meh, but of a clone of ours in terms of power running and sets.

came off the Big 10 East today. Its OSU and Michigan and what looks like a pretty good gap to everyone else.

of a coaching matchup as there might be in the Big 10 this year.

ESPN could find someone worse to listen to than Beano Cook.

and grew up in Ohio you likely have almost zero memory of Michigan ever being a good consistent year after year threat to Ohio State. That is the ugly truth.
If you are a high school prospect, you have no memory at all of what Michigan used to be.

that is all
|1 week 4 days ago||Michigan's special teams||
are much better than Colorado's
I mean seriously, they looked like RichRod's units, such a big difference to have competent coaching in that phase of the game.
|1 week 5 days ago||UCLA||
needs a game venue closer to campus. They just built or in the process of building a new football and baskeball center with improvements to practice facilities. Maybe that will help them in the future.
|1 week 6 days ago||its been my experience||
that if you park there you cannot get onto Main Street South after the game, you are filtered back to Eisenhower Pkwy through the Mall to State and it takes FOREVER.
This was an OSU game but personally I will never park there again.
Perhaps this was a one off experience but getting onto Main was barricaded at all intersections.
|2 weeks 19 hours ago||I watched Colorado||
last Fall a couple times, def. a program rising but they're starting at the bottom. Cripes they lost to Hawaii last year.
They really took it to a vastly more talented USC team albeit at home in Boulder in front of a raucus crowd later in the year and USC was a mess most of last year. Colorado has good speed at the skill spots but I hesitate to say they have more than Central Florida.
The Buffs were very competitive with Arizona, UCLA the aforementioned USC and Utah. But it should be noted Stanford took them behind the woodshed 42-10. Most notable with Colorado is that they played better at the end of the year so progress being made.
What makes them tough is their offensive style with the spread offense and tempo football. But geez they've beaten what looks like a bad Colorado State team and Idaho State, a lot of programs would look good against that. Michigan should win this game but if they have a day where they don't play well or committ a bunch of turnovers this will be a very close game.

missed it and the only shots they showed are after the handshake takes place and both Harbaugh and Frost kind of meander around past each other shaking other hands. Ergo it looks like they were avoiding each other.
Harbaugh went straight to Frost and shook his hand, it was brief but it happened.
