One of my favorite aspects of writing diaries was in reading the comments and getting new ideas and new directions for investigation. If that is all the accolades I get then so be it, but I think that the system can be modified to encourage more user-generated content. To me, that is the great strength of this site. Thank you also for setting up this thread. |

I don't feel motivated to put more effort into my posts or generate diaries when the paid staffers don't notice or don't care and I don't get a point bump either. If I incidentally generate more pageviews, fine, but that's all I can offer. |

It should alternate. ~6 months out of the year it can be a football star, the other ~6 months a basketball hockey or other sport star. My vote is for Trey Burke at the moment - hockey was terrible this year unfortunately. In the fall I say we switch to Lewan, Gallon, or Gardner, or some combination therof. |

MSU no, OSU yes, mostly because my family (all swear allegiance to the Enemy) and I were hollering at the TV en masse for the entire game, with an obvious split. I watched the 2012 M-OSU game embedded in Block O South with the students, but I'll never do that again! The club section isn't too bad. I recommend Hawaiian shirts for maximum confusion. |
