Can I get a translation?

Can I get a translation? Seriously. I have no idea what you're talking about.

Pandora is out of the box

Pandora is out of the box man. This is the world we live in and nothing you do (short of building yourself a time machine) is gonna get you back to the 50's.

I personally don't see it

I personally don't see it ever fading. Ray Lewis is and always will be one of the greats to play the game. Retirement isn't going to change that. I personally never saw Jim Brown or Walter Payton play but if I was a running back and being recruited by someone who coached either of them it would still hold weight.

You're not too bright huh?

His response was in response to "If people felt the same boost from apples as they did from coffee, people would be consuming Granny Smiths and Red Deliciouses in the same quantity they consumed giant mugs of Pike Place and venti mocha lattes". So actually his "logic", as you felt the need to ignorantly point out, is accurate. Next time try a little reading comprehension before jumping the gun and looking stupid.

Just a thought

I understand where you're coming from as BH was definitely not my first choice. The fact of the matter though is WANTED this job. That has to mean something. Was anyone else lining up to be our head coach? 3 people (JH, LM, and Gruden) have all said that MIchigan is their 'dream job' yet none are here. At this point i'll take passion from an unproven coach and be happy about it. It just seems like you're downing the guy before he even gets a chance to coach (RR similarties anyone?). Hoke has my faith until he proves he doesn't deserve it and hopefully im not alone.

Gauranteed

The sad fact of the matter is right now tOSU is a bigger draw than anyone else in the B1G. No way the NCAA allows Pryor and company to miss 5 games. NCAA is all about the kwon. SHOW ME THE MONEY!

Maybe its just me....

But "I'm probably staying" doesn't mean anything to me. If I know anything its that coaches who are vague and unwilling to confirm that they are staying usually leave. JH would be the most recent and obvious example. Coaches usually either confirm they are content in their current jobs or beat around the bush long enough for everything to get finalized. I still feel Miles will be our coach. Just my 2 cents.

I wouldn't be shocked

I'm sure a lot of coaches do this. "The Michigan job is open? I love Michigan. Oh my current team is offering more money? I think i'll stay." Its just the name of the game. Im not sure about anyone else but the fact that Hoke seems to be the only person who genuinely wants this job is really turning me on (not literally) to him. I would almost rather have a 2nd tier coach with an upside who WANTS to be here than a top tier coach who just wants to get paid.

The muffin man!

The muffin man!

Wrong...

Its called a 'Bro'.

If they ain't....

You're doing something wrong.

Huh?

Huh?

Let me tell you something

Not 1 single picture of Fire Marshall Bill? Really? Im sad.

I had to sign in just to say

I had to sign in just to say that this is the best comment of the day.

Just for the sake of argument

I'll play devils advocate. Keep in mind this is solely for the sake of argument and I do not agree with or support the practice of oversigning.

Being recruited and signing with a school is basically a business deal. The kid receives a free education in exchange for playing football. Just like I receive a paycheck for providing my company a service. If my service for my company is not up to their standards and they believe they can bring in someone more qualified to do my job would it be wrong?

I understand they are kids but they are being compensated for their performance.

Thanks for the nightmares.

Thanks for the nightmares.

For a second I thought that

For a second I thought that said Platypus and I was going to agree. Who doesn't like a platypus? Also, is there a funnier word than the plural of platypus which is platypuses? End totally off topic rant.

Seen them live in Tampa.

Seen them live in Tampa. Great show.

Just saying....

Didn't JH say the same thing? I don't recall that turning out very well.

My issue with this....

I have a couple issues with this. First of all, if someone is mentioning suicide its usually not a 1 time incident. If thats the case and its a ongoing mental disorder as opposed to a 1 time moment of weakness what happens when the student graduates? What happens when he is no longer under the supervision of the university? Just wipe your hands and walk away or does the university continue to follow up with the student for life?

Secondly, if that was your child wouldn't you want to know? I understand that in your instance the kids family was the reason for the threat but what if they werent the reason? If my child threatened suicide while at school, the school chose not to notify me, my child graduated, and then killed himself/herself and I wasnt notified I would furious beyond words.

I understand obeying the law but sometimes there is a moral issue and doing what is right needs to superceed what is lawful.

Dogs do live that long.....

Look at the bright side

I know some people want perfection while other people just like to see the negative in everything (I tend to be one of those people) but the reality is simple.

Our Defense = Bad

Our Special Teams = Worse

Our Offense = Napalm half the time and a Turnover-a-saurus the other half.

Every where you look we are young and the few spots we have experience play like they're young. Yet we are 7-3 with an outside shot at 9-3. All we can do from this point forward is improve (I seriously can't imagine getting any worse in most areas) and once that happens the 'killer instinct' will be all too apparent.

What's the point of being an

What's the point of being an asshole? If you don't like the topic then move on to another topic. Nobody says you have to read and respond to every thread. You chose to read the topic and then you chose to be a douchebag. You should work on your decision making skills.

Swayed my faith

I have been pro RR and even pro Greg since the beggining because I feel everyone deserves a fair chance to show what they can do. However, after reading your post it really makes me wonder. How long do we risk putting up with him?

Assume stats for his defenses hold true. Also assume we give him 1 more year to prove what he can do. What if next year he produces another 100+ nationally ranked defense? Now look at the situation we are in. We are going into Denards senior year in which we have to play Alabama, Notre Dame, Nebraska, and tOSU on THE ROAD and we are supposed to switch DC's?

That just seems like a terrible idea to me and I, for one, would rather cut ties with the entire defensive staff now as opposed to waiting until next year.

That was amazing! That's

That was amazing! That's almost exactly how I picture Gerg to be in real life. You have officially made my day better sir. +1.

If I could...

If I could +1 I would because that's my favorite post of the day so far.

All I know....

All I know is that 'Carpet Angels' should be at the top of everyones celebratory lists.

Whew

I remember constantly reading updates and praying that TP would choose Michigan. I was on the bandwagon thinking he was going to be our savior. Now everytime I see him open his mouth, shrink in the moment, and fail to live up to the hype I just think "Whew. I am so glad he picked tOSU.".

He is the perfect representative for Tressel and the Buckeyes.

Not as much

Not as much as I hate women who demand payment for sex.

I believe

I could be wrong but I assume it has something to do with him being in a military academy. He will most likely be thankful to see anything of the opposite sex regardless of whether or not its average.

I do remember...

I do remember but you're honestly going to try and tell me that with Leak graduating they didn't want to get their true freshman quarterback reps and game time? I will have to do some research to see if they ever put Tebow in while trailing (outside of possible goal line situations) or if he only played while they were ahead. That will tell the whole story.

No No No!

Name 1 time in college football history when a team has had 2 Quarterbacks and been successful. I have a feeling that someone is going to mention Chris Leak and Tim Tebow but if I recall correctly Leak was a senior and Tebow was a freshman. At that point you have to get Tebow snaps and game time experience. Having 2 starting quarterbacks for 3 years is a recipe for disaster. I would rather suffer through this year, let Denard make mistakes (and assumingly learn from them), work on his passing game, and come back next year as a junior that much better. This year is an 8-4 season with a chance at 9-3 and an equally good chance of 7-5. Stop being impatient and looking for a quick fix. It's not coming this year.

As for Penn State I was far more worried about Indiana than I am this game. I was going to list Penn States national defense ranks also but I think its safe to assume that our offense can move the ball on any team in the country and, as long as we don't keep making the same mistakes, score on any team in the country. Here is a look at Penn States offensive ranks.

Penn State:

Total Offense: 85th

Rushing Offense: 85th

Passing Offense: 76th

Scoring Offense: 108th

Now I know that our defense is at bad if not worse than their offense but those numbers aren't making me shake in my boots to say the least. Just my 2 cents.
