No, we don't ask our QB to throw 40 times (or even 25 times) per game. But we do ask them to read the defense and adjust accordingly. Of course, moving from JJ to anyone less experienced is going to be a down-grade in that department. But the chances that a freshman could run even a simplified Michigan offense might be overly optimistic. I guess we'll see.

I could be wrong, but in context it seems idiomatic. Like "at the end of the day," or "when all's said and done," which actually suggests "on the whole." Really flimsy wording to stake your hopes on.
I will also add that my 5 yo son was miffed that Donovan didn't get offensive player of the game tonight. He is a Blake fan, for sure, but tonight he liked The Don.
That's awesome. My year has mirrored yours in a lot of ways, it seems. It's been a challenging year in many ways. But my son is now 5 and cheering on the Wolverines. I had to explain to him last January that even good teams lose sometimes (it was the first time he'd seen Michigan lose when old enough to know what that meant, and that was inconceivable to him).
We've had some special times this year. Since September he's always reminded me that it's Saturday. And then on Sunday or Monday he'll draw a picture of his favorite play of the game and put it in his "book," a three-hole folder.
2023 has been a remarkable year for us Wolverines fans, and a long time coming. JJ, Blake, Don, Zak, Mikey, Roman, Semaj, and a whole host of others will go down as legends.
This is the "act like you've been there" attitude that a fan has when they know their team is good, is going to be good for the foreseeable future, and just got outplayed today. They've gotten to see the Tide get how many NCs in the past decade or be within striking distance of one? So they naturally say "Hey, good one, getcha next time" instead of melting down like babies.
I mean, Klatt's being evenhanded. But what I appreciated from him was when he said "Jim Harbaugh has never lied to me. So if he says he didn't know, he didn't know."
I just noticed that CJ has two steps on his guy all the way to the end zone on the double pass. I wonder if he was the first read. We score on this drive, so nothing lost, but wow, that was a double Bama bust.
I noticed that too. Was surprised that it doesn't always result in a false start call. Isn't the snap supposed to be one motion? I am not up on the details of the rules, so maybe I am way off base there.
The slo-mo is so epic. The color grade is so nostalgic. As if the events yesterday were part of some good ol' yesteryear, forever been etched in the pages of history. Love it.
But IS Georgia's D more "complex"? Sounded like the coverages Michigan was fielding in the OSU game were on another level. I suppose UGA could be more complex, but is it? Not a rhetorical question. I would be curious if anyone has compared the two.
