I am primarily a lurker on this site. But it is a place I frequent every day as well. With that said, I have found it almost unbeareable to do so lately due to all the negativity that had been eminating from the comments. I am glad that there will be some sort of moderation; as much as I dreaded the up and down votes it did tend to police some of the peevish, childish, dickish comments that were being made here.

Those who have served in the armed forces so that I can observe my freedoms, I just want to say thank you for everything. You are the true heroes. Enjoy this day.

Is very good news... This guy can really play. If he comes close to having a career like Charles Woodson I will be estatic.

My daughter had to stay an extra week in the hospital and I about died lol....love that girl
|48 weeks 1 day ago||Congrats||
They are game changers, indeed.
|1 year 4 weeks ago||congrats and enjoy them||
They are the most precious at the age they are now. It doesn't take more than willing arms to embrace, engulf and protect them from the world. As they start to get older you are going to be amazed at everything they say and do. My two are 8 and 6. And they are the extent of my portfolio. Love em like a beetles song. Congrats again.

He is built like Chris Perry. Oh, and a rock...but faster and more solid.

But Chitown has been part of mgoblog as long as I can remember. He is no troll. Very opinionated, as you all can tell. But a good guy. Just saying. Anyway will not say anything else.
|1 year 11 weeks ago||Back to the future||
Am glad we are where we are now. I don't want to go back. I don't want to rehash, revisit, or talk about the RR era. I wish him well. I hope he succeeds at Arizona and that he proves every doubter of his said talents wrong. But not for one second do I regret him not being here any longer.
|1 year 12 weeks ago||Fred Jackson...||
Coach Jackson, is that you?
|1 year 14 weeks ago||I agree||
I would love for him to land back in Ann Arbor. I remember this being QB university. He had something to do with that. I hope he does well and then finds his way back home.
|1 year 15 weeks ago||I agree.||
I think that he was a scapegoat for RR. I also think that he was RR's only competent hiring. With that said, if my mother was playing against Michigan.... I would be rooting against my mother. lol
|1 year 21 weeks ago||i have never been one||
It has never been my nature to point the blame in any one direction. Football is a team sport. You win and lose as a team. But i am sure at some point during this game Mattison wanted to go up to Borges and just pop him one. No in all seriousness what happened with Denard and Devin being on the field at the same time? It is astounding to sit here and see how predictible the play calling was. Devin comes out. Denard goes in and you know there is going to be a run....there was nine men in the box! Nine! Why? Because michigan was going to clearly run the ball. If they would have had them noth in there at the aame time on a consistent basis they could not sell out one way or another. It also helps to have devin take most of the snaps so he can develop a rhythm. They did that defense a disservice with that playcalling. Wow that was just crazy.
|1 year 21 weeks ago||ohio state...||
Ohio state aint no Bama. If Michigan can contain Miller with just a modicum of success then they have a better than average shot of winning this game. The only game this season they were out of was the bama game and if Denard could have hit some of those wide open receivers in that game it could have changed the tenor of that game. Maybe not the out come. But it would not have been so lopsided. Michigan realistically could be a one loss team going into this game. They definitely left two games on the table.... I dont think anyone one on this board thinks Nebraska is a better team than us and the notre dame game...well....that was just awful playing and play calling by the offense. Ohio should be a good game. Go blue!
|1 year 23 weeks ago||spread offenses||
They have struggled all season with spread offenses. Denard would give us our best chance of success against them. Our biggest problem has been run production. If we can some how shore that up in the next week and a half we have a good chance of beating them.
|2 years 13 weeks ago||i have heard...||
I have heard that he was thinking about transferring depending on Denard. One of my best friends is friends with his highschool coach and he told me about this over a month ago. He also said something about going down and playing with RR. I dont put too much stock into io it because my friend is a rumor mill. But he did mention this right after RR got the job.
|2 years 15 weeks ago||whew||
they won the game. an ugly win is still a win. it feels great!
|2 years 20 weeks ago||it seems that he has at least||
It does seem that he has at least adopted adapting his coaching style to fit his players. I think that made his transition here a little more difficult. His experience at Michigan will make him a better coach in Arizona, I think. Could be wrong, just my opinion.
|2 years 21 weeks ago||I really hope||
I really hope that he had his got it moment. If Nebraska and Ohio are any indicators of that then this guy is going to be extremely dangerous next year. He made very good decisions today and showcased his talents. If that Denard was playing in the MSU and Iowa games, well who knows. I am excited though, especially for Mike and Van B and Wfolk and Molk. These guys were here for the worst of the decline and hopefully they were here to be part of the upswing. WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!! Good game!!!!
|2 years 21 weeks ago||Dude,||
|2 years 21 weeks ago||I have to say||
I have to say that I honestly feel endeared to this team of players more so than any other team that has donned the winged helmets. They are truly a band of brothers that has weathered the storm together. A win against Ohio State will be a great way to end this chapter of their lives. Mike Martin, Van Bergen, Koger, Molk, Woolfolk I have never rooted for any one thing so hard in my life as I have for this team of seniors. Tomorrow will be no different. Give 'em hell guys. Show them that that school up north is back. Meechigan, why would you want to go anywhere else?
|2 years 21 weeks ago||If I could just,||
If I could just interject something here. I never saw Carter play live so I will have to defer to someone of greater wisdom on that matter. I have seen some games in replay and heard former players speak on his greatness. So that is not arguable.
So let me preference my comment by saying that the best receiver I have seen was Braylon his senior year. The guy was lights out. He made Henne look all world as a freshmen. He was clearly unguardable. Much like that tandem of David Terrell and Drew Henson. All of this is very subjective, with that said, Edwards is my favorite.
Howard was the most electric player on Michigan's squad. I remember watching them go up against Notre Dame in their last heyday and everyone was hyping up Raghib Ismail and I kept saying to myself, but we got Howard. That guy was lighting in a bottle. If he got to the second level put 6 on the board.
They are all dynamic in their own right. And truthfully, I am glad they all wore the winged helmet. Lets pray that 20 years from now we will be able to have this same argument about the receivers that come through and set up residence in the big house.
|2 years 29 weeks ago||would have to agree||
He shines in Wisconsins offense. He makes that offense complete. And he is deadly with his legs. He has touch on his passes and makes good decisions. They will be hard to stop.
|2 years 29 weeks ago||Allow me to ride your cab,||
I think that it was just a change in philosophy. That is all. I believe that Coach Mattison stated that there were no sleds here when he arrived. One of his first jobs was to bring back the sleds to Michigan. I sorta think that says it all.
Was that crypted enough for me not to understood, no?
|2 years 30 weeks ago||Maybe||

|2 years 30 weeks ago||Maybe||
Maybe someone edited the story by the time I read it, but I do believe it did say Montgomery.
|2 years 31 weeks ago||Step away from the ledge.||
I think that your analysis may be a bit premature. The one thing I continually see from these guys is growth. Especially on defense. If we can get Denard settled down, if he just can be a bit more accurate with his passing we could be deadly. Al did a good job (today that is) of putting him in positions to win. He under threw a couple of balls and over threw a couple more. He left at least another 21points on the board. And that is not including all the times he could have just moved the sticks if he weren't throwing to Tacopants. And I don't know if it is just me, but wasn't he making some of these passes last year. How many more years of eligibility does Tacopants have? I don't remember him over throwing so many guys. Maybe that is because he didn't throw the ball as much last year.
|2 years 31 weeks ago||It is a phrasing...||
Kids use it all the time. It is something they say when they really like something, someone. It is a generational lost in translation thing I think you are having.
|2 years 31 weeks ago||The last I checked||
They were favored against us as well. Hmmmmm. Oh, but they were the better team. Three years straight, they have been the better team. We just win.
|2 years 31 weeks ago||I think...||
I think Damefan has an account. Wow!!!... lol I don't even think the Knowledge could have predicted this one.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||hahaha||
|2 years 32 weeks ago||But how much of Gerg's coaching||
How much of Gerg's coaching had to do with RR. It is probably an unfair assesment to say that he is as bad as it seems. RR was unrelenting in his philosophy. We know this to be true by how he implemented his offense. We also know this to be true by how that 3-3-5 kept rearing its head even though we were told that the defensive scheme was going to be a 4-3
New regime. New philosophy. Time to turn the page. Gerg is no more.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||These are college kids.||
A lot of these kids have played for three different defensive coordinators. Three different defensive schemes and two of those schemes were some wacky hybrid 3-3-5. This was the second game in a new scheme. They are going to look out of place at times. The DL's are undersized (save Big Will and Black and Martin) This is an entirely different philosophy these boys are running now. With that being said, I think the blown coverage had a lot to do with the entire team having Floyd on the brain. I think they all were expecting Floyd to get that ball in the slot.
I think that is how they gashed us for some big runs too. Martin was dropping back into coverage expecting them to throw and they actually ran the ball straight up the gut.
ND was guilty of the same thing. Denard had burned them so bad that they overloaded the box, playing with 8 men inside of it all night long. That is how Gallon got so wide open on that wheel route. Denard had broken the containment and if you listened closely you could hear the whole state of Indiana shift to their left, Charlie Weis gasp in between destroying his hoagie with extra cheese and every football player on the field yell OH SH*& at the image of him having all that room to run and one of the DB's back there forgot about their assignment and Gallon caught the ball.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||Some of you...||
make it sound like we played a perfect game while ND crapped the bed. No, we didn't play well either. We had three turnovers at critical junctures in the game. But, in the end, we made more plays than they did. Granted, we didn't set the world on fire. But we hung around long enough, even with the mistakes, to win that game. They didn't play perfect, but neither did we. There were positives that can be taken away from this game. There are things we definitely can build on. Second game, new systems.... I will take this win and move on.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||agreed||
But some of that was a wash because on at least one of those turnovers we gave the ball right back. Denard did throw three interceptions yesterday. The defense did play better. They had some brain farts too. With that being said, I am still encouraged that this is a different team than the one we saw the past several years. Second game in a new system. They still will get better.
|2 years 32 weeks ago||ahhhhh||
THEY WON!!!!!! GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!
|2 years 33 weeks ago||have you forgot about||
Have you forgotten about Columbus? Which, by the way,is where NDfan says he lives. I don't know if he is a transplant or born and bred there, but either way, it would explain his mind melding woody for the school. Even if his blind loyalty is to a school in South Bend. (he is all screwed up) There is something in that water they give the people in Columbus.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||hmmm||
Tough but fair analysis. I think we all expect more from team. I know I do.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||I dont think||
I don't think anyone is talking smack. You are right ND did dominate a team that they were supposed to dominate yesterday. We were supposed to beat WMU, we did. They were supposed to beat USF, they didn't. We have had our run ins with teams that we were supposed to have handled and didn't... Everybody gets a turn at it... It was another one of their turns. And hopefully, next week they will be 0 - 2, But, truthfully I was rooting for them to win. I want every one of Michigan's opponents to be clicking on all cylinders when we play them. Iron sharpens Iron... Michigan can only get better from playing teams at their best. It will teach the team to always play at a high level to expect to win.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||You have to read further down the blog||
If you scroll down you will get his predictions for next weeks game. He says that it will be close up until the beginning of the fourth quarter. Our boys will be so spent from throwing the kitchen sink at ND that we will get overwhelmed by the Irish in the fourth... (to paraphrase)
The guy is a character. I am going to miss the you tube videos he puts up. They were a lot more funny than the blogspot with the annoying (insert picture) theme. Either way, I think he may have slit his wrists yesterday after the game.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||hmmmm||
interesting post..... Yeah
|2 years 33 weeks ago||not me||
I hope they bring their A game. And I hope we bring ours. If we are better then we win.
Iron sharpens Iron gentlemen. We will be the best when we cut our teeth on the best. As long as you have the right system, coaches, and players in place....We can get there. But I look forward to playing these teams in the coming weeks and years.
|2 years 33 weeks ago||agreed||
The runs to the outside and the screen passes killed us...but, to say that we were not improved out there is ridiculous. My biggest concern is getting off the field when we have them in third and long situations... if we can learn that then I am a happy camper. I will take this defenseI saw today over the past three years combined.... They were better. They weren't world beaters but if you were expecting that then you are seriously drinking some maize and blue kool aid. We will see how things go next week. I have confidence in this defensive coordinator....I think Greg Mattison got a chance to see the glaring holes and will make the proper adjustments to shore up some of those problems.... the difference between this year and the last few years is that the coaching is better.... have faith in that... the tackling was better, the intensity was better and even Kovacs looked servicible .... Give it time gentlemen. This is a new coaching staff in their very first game....THIS TEAM WILL GET BETTER.
|2 years 47 weeks ago||Wow, really?||
Let me preference what I am about to say by stating that I am not a Carr slappy, but I don't think that he said anything that wasn't obvious. RR was recruiting a different type of player to Michigan. He said it. He wanted his players to be leaner and play a faster pace than what they were accustom to...try to tire out the competition and by the fourth quarter run circles around them. That is why there was muchado about Barwis.. strength and conditioning and such...This is in direct contrast to the outgoing philoshophy that Carr had which he expounded upon in the ops post. There was a clash of styles...a changing of the guard that didn't work... but for Carr to say that doesn't make him a rebel rouser. He should be able to invoke his feelings as to what was/is needed to play big 10 ball. We/he/everybody saw how well Rich's philosophy worked. Which probably is much more a useful barometer than anything Carr said as to what it takes to win championships in the conference...But for him to say what he said is not a slap in the face, the past three years of having to live through it is.
(Closes eyes and braces for the onslaught)
|2 years 47 weeks ago||I agree||
I agree mostly with your comments. I would just say this about the Jim Harbaugh comments is I think Perry was trying to say that Hoke wanted to be here. He didn't need to be wooed or convinced that this was a good job, for him, his dream job. I think that that was the turn off for him with Harbaugh. Michigan men still view Michigan as a dream destination.
|2 years 48 weeks ago||It is more than a job||
I have been giving this some thought for a while now about how well Hoke has been doing in regards to recruiting. I do think there is a perfect storm brewing for him. OSU not having many schollies...the media witch hunt against RR,(the next coach was bound to get a windfall of love) the pending sanctions coming OSU's way, little brother suddenly developing the little brother complex again, amongst other things. But I think one intangible that Hoke has that RR didn't was the love for the program. And I am not questioning RR's love for this program. I am pretty sure he did love it here. But, I think it came with a lack of understanding. He had to learn everything on the fly. Brush on all the traditions, the interactions of the coach within the various communities...etc. And his many misteps have been documented. Hoke didn't have to learn Michigan, he knew it and craved the opportunity to be a part of it. He didn't have to brush up on the traditions or be sold on its legacy. He knows just how special of a place this is and it shows through when he talks about it with recruits, the media, the guy down the street.
And quite frankly, it is contagious. He has done well in getting Mattison too. That can not be understated.
|3 years 10 weeks ago||Looking at that data...||
It does sorta strike one as a bit of desperation. However, that may not have been the case. Michigan was a different Michigan under Rodriguez.. It may have been part of his philosophy. I am a strong proponent that RR believed in his system and its ability to make lesser athletes better by virtue of being utilized in it. That may be a reason for the larger net. But to Tom's and Magnus' point... It is valid. Saturation of offers will ultimately bring a diminishing wow factor return. If there is a girl who kisses every boy at the party there is no reason to blush when she puckers up to kiss you.
|3 years 11 weeks ago||What my fear is||
I fear that we are getting sidetracked on why RR came here. We have been looking up to see the curb long enough to settle, no dare I say, long for what we had become, which in turn prompted Mr. Rodriguez's arrival in the first place. We would have our 8, 9 and occasional 10 win seasons (with a blowout in the bowl game) RR came with the promise of us becoming the dominant program in the big ten...we were supposed to drastically change the landscape here...pioneer in a new era of Big 10 football. I still want that!!!! I still have my Michigan arrogance and I believe we are that elite program. This may not have been translated with wins on the field in the past 5 to 10 years but it does not change the fact that we are Michigan. We are/should be a national powerhouse year in and year out. I expect nothing less from Brady Hoke than to get us back to where we belong; I expect us to drag lil brother's ass up and down the field every time they line up against us and to Zoltan Mesko the shit out of of that school down south year in and year out. Now if you throw in a national championship once or twice every 10 years or so I am happy with that. But that is where we are supposed to be now. That is where our mind set should be. No more digressing. Crank this puppy up and get it in gear.
RR was nice...He is gone now...next episode. Let's keep it pushing. We are Michigan... we have a reason/right to be arrogant.
Okay, sorry for being on the soapbox. I apologize.
|3 years 11 weeks ago||I hear you||
I hear what you are saying... I just don't think that it could be ignored just how bad the defense played. At some point, RR was going to have to assume responsibility for that. Not to mention, the special teams. Two out of the three phases of football were bad. The head coach can't just be the reason for why we had an explosive offense. Then he isn't the head coach he is the offensive coordinator. In which case, we still needed a head coach. Look, I rooted for RR. I prayed that things would work out for him here. I did not want to see Michigan have to go through another transitional period... But it was necessary. That is in my humble opinion.
|3 years 12 weeks ago||What I really liked...||
What I really liked is the fact that the interview showed the kids character. He doesn't seemed swayed by bells and whistles. He seems like a stand up kid. He would be a feather in M's cap if we can get him. Good job Tom.

|3 years 49 weeks ago||hmmmm||
I don't think that you can point to one game that showed the decline in Lloyd and company. However, there were a lot of pitchforks and torches being brandished after that App State game.
That being said, I don't think there was a decline in his ability to coach...maybe a shift in interest in coaching. Wins on the field started to decline. Recruiting efforts started to wane...maybe that is too strong a word...classes weren't as balanced as they had been in the past. And there is that God awful Ohio State record...Being a college coach means staying on top of kids going to class, recruiting the next great Wolverine, knowing the latest trends in teaching football in it's many aspects, including strength and conditioning and being able to adapt (figure out the spread). It all can take a toll on you. I just think Lloyd was transitioning in life later in his years and whether consciously, or unconsciously I think it started to show in the performance of the team.

|4 years 1 week ago||I hate to sound..||
I hate to sound like a Holly Homer now...But we buy cars based on perception now. The big three has made huge strides to close the gap between their quality and that of the foreign auto makers. But what keeps killing them is the perception that foreign products are soooo much better. The gap is a lot smaller than what most think now. A lot of the same concepts and principles are used to gauge quality and they are also steering towards World Class Manufacturing philosophies. But, sadly, when you have chased your tail for so long it goes unnoticed.
|4 years 1 week ago||I drove the nitro||
I drove the Nitro going out of town about two months ago. The handle of the car was something to be desired. But it was good on gas. Drove from Michigan to Ten...and had to fill up twice. That is going and coming and once while I was there. Now, the Grand Cherokee drives like a car...handles and performs excellently, but the gas mileage is something to be desired.

|4 years 3 weeks ago||Not before||
I assume that by saying it is pre-bowl game festivities, that Michigan has made it to said bowl game, correct? If this is the case, then hell no. In fact, hell to the no. The game itself is much to important to risk injury with a glorified foot race.
|4 years 4 weeks ago||From what I've read,||
They say that Turner is living up to the billing. Take that for what it is worth. This is the internet.
|4 years 4 weeks ago||Quit nagging and negging the guy||
By Magnus' criteria MSU is better. Head to head they have beaten our boys. That is grounds for a sound argument in which one can say that MSU's 2008 and 2009 teams were better than ours. It is not a broadstroking statement in which he is supplanting Michigan from the top of the food chain in the state, he is just simply stating his opinion based upon what he considers to be the most unbias critera, their performance on the field. Because in our hearts, we know that we have a better program, better history, better coach, better personnel...but it has not translated to wins. So...they get the nod for their on the field performance. Like it or not, that is a sound way to judge the two teams, their head to head performances.
|4 years 11 weeks ago||Walter Smith tells a story,||
Walter Smith tells a story about how he was going to commit to the Vols until he met Bo. He said that Bo walked up to him and told him that he was going to play for Michigan because he was a Michigan man. And that was all Walter needed to hear. He said, and I quote, "If Bo is calling me a Michigan man, then damn it, I must be a Michigan man."
|4 years 24 weeks ago||Keeping 'em in check||
I agree completely that we need to have our expectactions tuned back in to something like 7 wins. My only problem with the loses is the mental mistakes that they are having. The turnovers and muffed kick returns...those are the coachables. This team shows glimpses of what could be....we just have to wait... GOD, I HATE THIS!!!!! lol
|4 years 26 weeks ago||Consider this...||
They both are telling the truth. Tate was recruited heavily by nittany lions. Evidence to this fact is Tate's admittance of high interest in Penn State and an offer with Joe Pa's hand written note to him hoping that Tate has interest in his program. Now, Joe Pa can be telling the truth just based on the fact that the old ball coach is just that, too old to remember that he actually recruited Tate. In which case, he to is telling the truth about interst.
|4 years 29 weeks ago||says, the man...||
So, Dex...say it ain't so. Did you just predict that the Mgoblog's resident soothsayer, psychic, if you will, will get the boot?
|4 years 41 weeks ago||Again, I find myself,||
I find myself agreeing with Gordie. OSU is the measuring stick. We know how good we are based on our performance in that game. Like it or not, they are the big dog in the conference. So a win against them says more for the direction of our program than 9-3 does. Imho.
|4 years 41 weeks ago||I get it and me, myself, I am still on the fence about it.||
I understand your sentiments Turbo because I thought just as you are thinking now. But after I gave RR's philosphy some thought it makes sense. He is trying to foster the belief in every kid taking the field that they/their leadership/their input/their play effects the game. If you play "all in" to coin the phrase for the year, then you are a captain of the team. It makes sense if it is something that the kids that play begin to covet, to be recognized as a captain for their play on the field.
It is like getting the game ball. What might be a good idea is to recognize the guy who gets the most honorary captains for the year, give him a special award. Start some new tradition.
So I am still at the wait and see approach on this one.
|4 years 41 weeks ago||Good interview||
Good interview, Tom. I loved hearing this kids perspective on other recruits. He seems to be a leveled headed kid. I wish him well whether he ends up at Michigan or not. Hopefully, he'll be blue though.
|4 years 41 weeks ago||tragic,||
I just hope the family makes it through this incident with as little a spotlight as possible. Because from the information you just provided it sounds like the Sahel woman may have shot him multiple times and then turned the gun on herself. And my obvious assumption is to think that her motivation had something to do with some twisted lovers quarrel.
He was one of my favorites slinging the pig skin. He'll be missed.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||In defense of Chi,||
He wasn't saying that because the kid didn't pick M as his favorite makes him a scattered brained. It is that the kid has a new favorite everytime you ask him who's his favorite.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||I agree with you, Gordie.||
I don't see them having enough depth at QB to put Denard in harms way at other positions. Can you imagine the outcry if he gets hurt. Then every time Forcier drops back for a pass the entire Blue nation will gasp. Because one bad hit would be all that stands between Sheridan and the field.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||haha my bad...||
now don't I feel stupid... will take it down then lol
|4 years 42 weeks ago||Gordie, do me a favor.||
Never dream about me.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||Thanks, Tom||
It helps me understand him knowing that.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||I think,||
I think he meant one more point on his test to qualify. So like, yeah it is a point that he needs to go with a bunch of other points and so then all the points come together...well I think you get the point.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||yeah,||
They seem to be the best metric that the coaches can use. It is there opportunity to gauge the football IQ, instincts and overall talent of the athelete without all the hype surrending the kid.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||I agree, Turbo||
But doesn't it seem like there should be some type of allegience to the in state schools? It seems that they should have the inside track. This kid, I think, was a Miami fan. Something has to be taken into account that some of these kids playing within the borders of Michigan are not fans of the in state programs. So how can we really consider that a loss when there was no love in the first place?
|4 years 42 weeks ago||so...||
Do you want RR to do well? It sorta seems like you are praying for his demise. Look, here is my take. Coaching...Coaching...Coaching. If RR accepts a kids verbal than it is job to coach the 3 stars up and make the 4 and 5 stars live up to their potential. I sorta find it ironic how you are knocking people for saying give the guy a chance simply because you don't want to. Not one kid from this recruiting class has laced them up for M yet so that sorta makes this like forecasting the weather. And in that case everyone has an opinion so don't get mad when someone takes the opposite position as yourself. It is life.

Sam Webb tends to think that this guy is the real deal. He noted that during their elite camp this year that there was a noticable drop off in guard play when Morris went out. He said that he has a command of the game and an uncanny knack for putting the ball in the right person's hands. He thinks that this guy is a definite upgrade in talent from what we are accustom to.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||In regards,||
In regards to Beilein recruiting Smotcryz before people knew he was a top 100 player. In the interview that you just recently posted Beilein eludes to evaluting talent over rated players. If he has a knack for this and if we put a strong showing in the bank for next year, I think it can open up recruiting for us. Let's just put it this way, I am encouraged by what I have seen. Beilein (imho) was the right pick up for Michigan. He may not,as you say, put us back on one of the top rungs in the big ten, but he is sure building a pretty sturdy ladder for us to stand on and climb.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||hmmmmm...||
That was a very interesting interview. I don't know what to conclude from that. It sounds like Michigan is still in the running but not neccessarily in the drivers seat anymore. I wonder what other school has really caught his attention. Because it sounds like out of the schools that he has picked as his favorites the only two he could have traveled to is Kentucky and Michigan. hmmmmmm
|4 years 42 weeks ago||If I were to wish list it...||
I would go Cullen, then Grimes, then Mathis because he is the local kid (although I really favor Knight.)
Latwan at safety because he looks like he'll seriously have a bad case of road rage back there.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||Rich said it,||
After the first recruiting year he was asked about the difference in recruiting. They had a video up on MgoBlue. Maybe it is still there, I don't know. But I am sure that RR made the comment about how the block M opens up doors a lot faster.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||IIRC,||
He said (loosely paraphrasing)that the block M opened doors that were previously closed. However, he still has to do his recruiting.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||nice article,||
I think RR can't wait either. I am looking forward to just meaningful steps in the right direction. The offense holding on to the ball. The kicking team holding on to the ball. The defense, taking the ball more than the offense gives it away. And of course I am praying that Tate (insert your fav QB here)rain man's the playbook looks like a world beater out there. Hell, I would be happy with him Forrest Gumping his way as long as they win.
|4 years 42 weeks ago||I agree,||
I agree with you Shock. Kids I suppose RR must know something that we don't about Austin White though. I mean, don't get me wrong I like the kid, I just sorta had a soft spot for Nick because he loved the block M.
|4 years 43 weeks ago||From what I've heard,||
his father always favored ND. So, chalk that up to recruiting from the inside track.
|4 years 43 weeks ago||ummm...||
1. Ohio State
|4 years 43 weeks ago||This guy is obviously a troll,||
I just talked with the real chrisgocomment on his facebook. Okay, I know what you guys are thinking and I am not a stalker. I just have a lot of down time at work and I like befriending Michigan recruits so I can know all about 'im, hang out with them and their highschool friends because 18 year old girls are easy... Anyway, I just talked chris and he said that he and Ricardo are working hard for Dex, Magnus, WolvinLA, ShockNinja and one surprise recruit to be named later. He is a silent, almost strong not ready audibly verbal and just wear blue right quite yet commit.
And remember you heard it hear first, Yes!
I will bask in the glory of this post and hover over Michigan stadium when Chris fumbles his first ball, yes...or Dex kicks his first field goal yes? Blah blah blah the new Knowledge. YES!
|4 years 43 weeks ago||Actually,||
Actually, the coaches were/are high on Witty. From what I've read and heard he would have gotten an offer based on his performance alone. The coaches really expect this guy to come in and have an impact.
|4 years 44 weeks ago||And word is,||
If he is offered he will drop for us shortly there after.
|4 years 44 weeks ago||Thanks,||
Thanks Other Brian. I appreciate the info.
|4 years 44 weeks ago||wow,||
I hope it isn't true...but *shrugs* Brian what is the word with Jewon Snow and Latwan Anderson? Are there any good signs for Michigan?
|4 years 45 weeks ago||hmmmm....||
Personally, I like Tupac.
|4 years 45 weeks ago||Hell,||
I take every Michigan loss like it is game seven of a championship series. So you can imagine that 3-9 season just about killed me...still can't get the after taste out of my mouth.
|4 years 45 weeks ago||Well...well...||
No exceptions!!!! If someone is naming their girl topic then they are asking for trouble. Like strippers named Bambi and Asian pornstars named Mi Kneebends.
|4 years 45 weeks ago||Things that are on topic,||
Anything in relation to Michigan sporting activities, women who blog here and the men that stalk them, pro WLA posts, con WLA posts, Mcfarlin bashing, anything posted by the knowledge "yes", unicorns, revolutions, TVH interviews, the speed of Denard, Tate and RR's snake oil.
Off topic...soccer, soccer, soccer and comments about being on top of one's mother last night.
|4 years 45 weeks ago||...||
And so it begins. oO(wonders how long the doomsayers are going to proclaim the death of this recruiting class)
|4 years 45 weeks ago||Allow me to introduce you,||
Allow me to introduce you to the world of magic jack.
It is the closest to free that you can get without stealing. You know, like your cable. Anyway, they cut off the horns to unicorns and hollow out the insides, grind it up into a fine powder then sprinkle the dust into the four winds where a magic jack operator is there to catch the dust and use its magic to keep the price to the consumer low low.
|4 years 45 weeks ago||Fiber is for girls and the men who love them.||
You should see my forty time when I got the runs. Let's just say Denard would still beat me, but I'm pretty fast.
|4 years 45 weeks ago||Damn it Magnus!!!||
Haven't you heard that a spoonful of sugar helps the medicine go-Oh, wait a minute. No sugarcoating...Yeah, got you. Well, hell those Oats are starting to give me the runs!!!
|4 years 45 weeks ago||hmmmm.||
Don't we all have a little WLA in us? I mean, c'mon, who doesn't like unicorns or rainbows, right? Oh and WB, Chi! It is good to see you back.
|4 years 45 weeks ago||Waits patiently for something clever to say.||
In the corner twiddling thumbs and wondering why the hell dex has a pic of an used tea bag on the beach...or is it like one of those filter thingies that they use in coffee machines...either way it makes me think of life and contemplate its meaning.
|4 years 46 weeks ago||Yeah, I know||
But I am trying to take attention away from that by talking about the rounding up shhhhhh... You pass, see... I stamped on the post and all.
|4 years 46 weeks ago||Yeah, I got it||
Yeah, I got it when you said it, Shock. I figured you were rounding up by fives. So instead of saying 75% of the times like any rational thinking M fan would, you kicked it up a notch (BAM!) I am still gonna pass you to the next grade buddy. *Stamps no fail on Shock's post*
|4 years 46 weeks ago||lol||
(pours ointment on the infection) I don't know what you mean.
|4 years 46 weeks ago||Scabies- the act of having||
Scabies- the act of having scaby lol It is a disease. and I too know the difference between to and too. I only said all that to get you going Blue. It is the only time you notice me. hahaha... I was starting to feel neglected lol
|4 years 46 weeks ago||I have one problem with it.||
I know Blue Durham is gonna chew my hide for saying this, but I'm saying it anyway. (looks around for blue)ahhh... This poster off of you tube sounds to sensible to be a true Ohio State fan. As a matter of fact, the poster sounds to sensible to be posting on you tube. Maybe this guy knows someone who knows someone who's distant cousin kissed someone who was passing through Columbus. So by virtue of that they have scabies and by having scabies, I mean they are Ohio State fans.
|4 years 46 weeks ago||Shakespere, himself||
Shakesepere, himself could not have said it any better.
|4 years 46 weeks ago||He'll get another chance at it, right?||
I thought that is what was said. That he has another opportunity to take the test but if he doesn't qualify then there is trouble. Right? Where is the other Brian at? He knows about this kinda stuff.
|4 years 46 weeks ago||Let me end the speculation.||
Tebow is in the SEC. Jesus loves football. Henceforth, Jesus is Tebow. Ooooh and that six year old kid was Barry's stunt double for the Mcdonald's commercials.
|4 years 47 weeks ago||Chris,||
Chris, once again my friend, you have shown us all your bountiful wisdom. For I knew it was a reason I loved to watch her play the game and now I know the reason is she has a great pair of tailored pants. +21= a Desmond Howard for you my friend.
|4 years 47 weeks ago||Clears throat||
There is an obvious joke about you being less of a dick to women but I am not going to go there. oO(if only Magnus were here)
|4 years 47 weeks ago||10 points||
I was thinking the same thing. lol... referencing Austin Powers always good.
|4 years 47 weeks ago||Welcome to the world of Dex.||
I missed Dex and his classic rants. But I must admit when I first read this headline I thought the knowledgable one known as the Knowledge was the op for this post.
|4 years 47 weeks ago||I wish him well.||
Will hope and pray for his speedy recovery.
|4 years 47 weeks ago||ahhhh||
Before you acknowledged that your usage of the word their was wrong, I was going to send you this post to point out that it was wrong even though I know you totally did it on purpose just because I wanted to right this really really long run on sentence with out any punctations...The GRAMMAR police will never catch me! NEVER!!
Runs down the mgoblog streets laughing like one of those villans in the chinese karate flicks.

It's supposed rain this weekend?
|4 years 47 weeks ago||ahhh....||
What are points?
|4 years 48 weeks ago||I could be wrong,||
I could be wrong, but isn't Oden in his second season...Unless you mean his second season injury free. If you do mean that then disregard this inquiry. In fact, why don't we just act like this never happened.
|4 years 48 weeks ago||awwh,||
WolvinLA, I usually agree with you and Magnus(although you and Magnus never seem to agree) but Pineapple Express.
Superbad is good, I'll give you that. But Pineapple Express had its moments like...tropical thunder...
And an honorable mentions Friday (the hood classic) 2 & 3 not so much.
Also, I love you to death. This movie didn't get that much pub but it was based on a true story of woman trying to kill her husband over his cheating ways and the whole thing goes awry. It is hilarious it has Kevin Kline, Tracey Ulman, River Phoenix, Keanu Reeves and William Hurt in it. Very funny movie
|4 years 48 weeks ago||This is just a stab in the dark here...||
You really aren't from Ann Arbor, are you?
That really isn't how you talk, is it?
And you really have seen minorities before, haven't you?
|4 years 48 weeks ago||I was thinking,||
I was thinking the same thing. This kid sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders. He didn't sound like he was just saying what he was saying for fluff either. He would be a nice pick up for that factor alone. Good job Tom. Nice interview.
|4 years 48 weeks ago||haha, am I surprised||
Good read. Very good read even. Good writing has a way of humanizing the ones being written about. You made me feel for the Ohio state fan base. That is hard to do. Excellent piece.
|4 years 48 weeks ago||I agree,||
A couple of my good friends are Ohio State fans. I have lost some hair and have had to wear ohio state gear over lost bets. So I agree with you on that front. And I agree with your overall premise about it coming from both sides, because it does.
There is one guy I know. We call him Ohio Bob. He lives in Trenton Michigan. Every year, during rivalry week he comes in with those buckeye nuts and passes them out. He gets a good razzing for it. But it is in the spirit of the rivalry. But it doesn't go beyond, "Your team sucks." or "This year they're going down."
I suppose I just don't think that Ohio Bob could be Michigan Bob passing out Block M's around a bunch of Ohio State fans without it getting ugly.
But I could be wrong. I just have witnessed, experienced and heard horror stories coming from the other side. With that said, I agree with your post. I guess I was being the rock lol...
|4 years 48 weeks ago||sighs||
Okay, let me give my official disclaimer.
The comments above are not intended to imply that all Ohio State fans are this way. It specifically points out the radical minority of them who give all of them a bad name. No, wait...wait. That still may offend some.
Okay, let me try again.
The post I made above is not intended to paint every Ohio State fan with the broadstroking brush of illogical, irrational, borderline unlawful douche baggery activity. It is meant just for the dude that bent my antenna and keyed my sled when I went down there for a game. And that other dude that stood behind me the 06 game in AA and for the entire duration of said game called Manningham, Arrington and Henne va-jay jay's. And by va-jay jay I mean women's vagina.
Oh and the one family that walked behind me and Walter Smith telling us that we could never beat Ohio State and then proceeded to churn out a couple of bars of that stupid Carmen song in three part harmony all the while following behind us. And the other 4 dudes that was outside Schembecller Hall pointing at their Ohio State hats and singing some God awful version of their fight song for like twenty minutes. I am just making and only making reference to them in the afore mentioned above post about the classless Ohio State fans.
|4 years 48 weeks ago||laughs,||
no no...you are Blue Durham. Look, I get your point. We could have done the same thing. But we didn't. That is all I am saying. And there is a huge difference with having some banner floating around during a sporting event. There is nothing unusual about that. However, it is quite another thing to rent out space over some highway while people are taking their morning commute on I94 or (insert highway of your choice)
With that said, I also understand your point about us having to be able to take "good natured hazing." I get that. But that does not mean that all hazing is good natured. It does not mean that someone renting a billboard in downtown Detroit shouldn't generate disdain from a true fan. It should. That is what being fanatical about the team you are passionate about is.
They have a right to gloat. We have a right to say up yours when they do. The back and forth is what makes the rivalry. When we were up and gloated about being up in the rivalry, they were pissed. Now they are up in the rivalry gloating and we are pissed. So what if we cry foul to that billboard shit. As a fan, we have that right.
The overall theme of the complaint is not that the billboard is classless, it is that Ohio State fans are. That is why when you go down there to watch a game you have to camouflouge your vehicle with ohio state paraphernalia to ensure it won't be vandalized. That is why when they lose they burn down their own city, or threaten their coaches home.
When they win, they sing that shitty song about Ohio. Their fans look at you and laugh and call your players (edit) women's vaginas. They walk along side of you to your car, half drunk still singing that dumb a$$ song. And then sometimes they hang around Ann Arbor screaming how they are number one. BUT, It is not the smugness they have when they win that makes them classless.
It is the classless way they act when they lose that makes their gloating intolerable, insufferable and tactless. You can say what you want to say, Blue and I will still say that Ohio State fans are classless and they celebrate their wins and their losses in classless ways.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||okay,||
Okay, I will try again. (Yes, you are correct Ohio State did not rent out a billboard. I just reread my post and I was not trying presume that they did)
First, the legal aspect of the analogy was meant to be absurd, based on your argument... It is quite obvious you think that it is valid. You even go so far as saying that maybe someone would have done what Ohio State fans did, if they would have thought of it...*shakes head* you don't see the fallacy in that line of argument? *sighs* you know what, this isn't even worth it. You win. I am going to go argue with a rock now.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||I am trying,||
I am trying to understand the rationale of your posts. I really am. Because you are using M's prior history as a basis to argue a point that is invalid based on the history you are using.
Your primary argument is that Michigan could have done something like rent out a billboard, in which its soul objective is to ridicule Ohio state. The only problem with this argument is that it did not happen.
It is like you are the defendant attorney for someone that goes to a bar, gets drunk, drives while intoxicated and rams into another car. And for your opening remarks you make a claim about the guy who got hit could have very well gotten drunk and rammed into your client.
The potential is always there for the shoe to be on the other foot.
But you have to look no further to history to see how that shoe fit M when they were wearing it.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||The only problem,||
The only problem I have with your post is when the roles were reversed we didn't do that. The issue isn't if they have a right to gloat, we just take exception to how tacky they are of going about and doing it.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||ahhhh....||
hmmmmmm... I am trying to understand why any one would... that was heavy man...heavy.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||irony||
That isn't Ironic. I don't think. No I really don't think.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||I have a compromise for you,||
Since she lives and congregates with people from Columbus I assume that she isn't one for detail. Hows about me and a couple of fellow M faitful pose as, what is the name of the videographers,...motion sickness...Lets say we get some t-shirts done up and make some mock documents claiming to be this group. I have cameras and what not. I'll charge you for gas to get out there and one night with a bridesmaid. (only if she is hot)You pocket the eleven k and invest in some form of ohio state/columbus detox for your betrothed and problem solved.
In the end the block M will always win.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||Honestly,||
Yeah, it would. A blow hard is a blow hard whether he came from east Lansing or Ann Arbor.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||Second.||
I second that comment. It would be nice to get a good linebacker or two in this crop of players. If we can land a stud lb, along with two quality db's then we'll be in good shape. DT is a must as well. We have a couple of guys with interest in that department.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||Yeah, it is hard to stomach sports radio,||
It is hard to stomach sports radio nowadays. For my own selfish reasons, I vote for Sam and Andy as number one. I love Karsh and Anderson too. Valenti is a blow hard. He knows too much for me and Foster is just there with the guy.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||I played in a pickup game,||
I played in a game with Derek Coleman down at the rec on Rosa Parks blvd in Detroit. My team was pretty good, as far as pick up ball goes. I mean, we ran plays, played help D and was killer at the pick and roll. Anyway,this one guy has next. And he's one of those guys that likes to color commentate from the sidelines. You know the guy...he keeps talking about how this was his gym and that we were disrespecting him by staying on the court for so long. Blah blah blah.
We had ole boys number and he knew it. We'd retired his teams like three different times that day. We'd beat him and he'd go to the sideline spewing shit. Anyway, he was talking so much smack from the sidelines that one of my boys bets him on next game. Not much, like a 20 spot or something and right after they shake hands in walks Derek Coleman. Ole boy picks him up and DC proceeds to piss on our heads for about an hour straight.
When I think about it now, I can't remember even scoring a point. It was like Derek Coleman was using us for a lil cardio or something, because he wasn't even breaking a sweat. That was the first time I really really saw just how freakish talent made guys.

I like my special cornflakes with powdered sugar and smiley face bananas.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||I really don't think,||
I don't think anyone acted on the harassing thing. However, I take pause in automatically saying that this clown is Mcfarlin. This one spells correctly. He must be an upgraded version of Mcfarlin.
With that said, the totally idiotic comment that comes out of the ops mouth about recruits in state is the two names he gave as in state recruits being over looked are already in the fold for Michigan. *sighs* Well, at least the Mgo community will have a release valve for their pinned up frustrations.
|4 years 49 weeks ago||McFarlin,||
Mcfarlin keeps coming back like a bad horror movie. Henceforth Mcfarlin thy name is chuckie the evil doll
|4 years 50 weeks ago||I loved this guy,||
I know it sounds cliche but he was a players coach. He held that bad boys squad together. Rodman didn't go psycho til he left.
I remember the year they won their second championship. They were playing Portland in game one of the series and were looking sluggish the whole game. It was like five minutes to go in a tight game that was, starting to look like, Portland was about to take from the Pistons when Chuck called one of those momentum freezing timeouts that they call in basketball.
The guys come to the sideline, sit down on the bench and await instrutions. Chuck doesn't say a word. They sit there and stare at him and he stares at them. Then right before the timeout is over he pulls out some of that smelling stuff and starts putting it up under all of their noses. Isiah asks, "What are you doing?" And Chuck replies, "Wake up!"
They come out of the time out and Isiah goes on a tear and they win the game. He was smart enough of a coach to know when to coach and when to push.

I rated it and friended you so I can always get your articles cause you are like the tops daddiyo!
|4 years 50 weeks ago||taps Goblue's shoulder,||
Ahhhh, don't look now but Mcfarlin's dad is posted like two pegs above yours.
|4 years 50 weeks ago||personally,||
For me, it is when you sift through their three day old garbage. Because it usually stinks. If you have been staked out at a kids house rambling through their garbage, go home and you can still smell the garbage under your fingernails...then, hell, you've gone to far.

The headliner was informative enough. I knew when I clicked on it that he was seeking information on a kid. He is also just saying that Brandin Hawthorne seems to be doing good so far up at school. (Hands JG a glass of kool aid) because no one can be upset with a cool refreshing glass of kool aid in their possession.

It is good to have another number one receiver aboard. Now, here are the rules of fight club...I forget. But I do remember to brake two car lengths behind the car ahead of me.
|4 years 50 weeks ago||I remember||
I remember wanting Optimus Prime and getting the radio transformer. I remember asking for Star Scream and I got a Go Bot. A GO BOT!!!! After years of therapy I can finally say Go Bot now without hitting my little sister in the head with bead sackie things that were used to play that wooden tic tac toe game.
|4 years 50 weeks ago||maybe,||
Maybe your name just came up. I mean, it has been ten years. Reasons could possibly be to natural attrition: like somebody died, moved out of the area, or the Borens finally decided to give up their primo seats.
|4 years 50 weeks ago||Let's be real,||
Lloyd had all the talents in the WORLD! The boys that came through under Lloyd's tenure were beasts. I believe that we have put, either the second or third most people in the league and how many top three finishes have we had?
Texas and Florida were prime examples of how we could be if Lloyd would have just played to the optimum potential of his talent. He rarely, ever did that. I get what the op is saying. I may not totally agree with him becauses I feel we were talented enough to play with anybody. My gripe has always been that we squandered opportunity with the talent we had. But that is just my opinion.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||well||
We've landed two in this class. Ricardo and Marvin and are still in position to get Boyd and Lo Wood. And lest we forget, Barnum. RR is picking up some jewels out of the state.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||You are right!||
Brandon Graham was a five star. I stand corrected. Let me also say that Florida's class is better than ours as well. As it stands, I think that Texas, Florida and Oklahoma are pulling in the best classes, as far as star rankings goes.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||Brings a tear,||
This brings a tear to my eye. Might I add, thank you for bringing in the legend that is known as Barwis.
Thank you for feeding him raw red meat marinated in cayene and chili peppers.
Thank you for seeing...ahhh sorry guys. I just miss the Barwis reports of being in the woods with the wolves and such.
I wonder is AA domesticating him? hmmmm I guess that is post for another time.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||huh?||
No one is saying that M will have a better class than Florida or USC. The statement I made was that at this point in the game, we are doing well, better than Florida and USC. RR is recruiting players he thinks will help him win, period. That is what he should do. You think that Florida and USC are waiting to offer kids? You think they are sitting back waiting for recruiting sites to say, okay this one I like and then Pete Carroll thanks God he's bought their service before he goes out and offers the kid? C'mon, man.
Michigan's cupboard was bare. They had a 3 and 9 season. They can not afford to sit back and watch and wait until something happens before they make a move. I do understand the sentiments. I do wish that every recruit we got was a five star or high four star recruit. But can you do me a favor?...Name me the last 5 star recruit that we had that was a stud? Hell, I'll do it for you, Chad Henne.
Your logic states that Michigan shouldn't recruit anyone unless everybody else likes them. RR's argument is I am going to get them before anybody else knows about them and I am going to throw my hat in the ring for everyone they are looking at.
All I am saying is, it is early in the game. Look at Auburn's commit list. They currently have a group of one star commitments. Alabama has two one star, six three stars and two four star commits. Florida has five four stars, one five star, five three stars and a one star. USC has four four stars and two one star recruits.
All I am saying is we are okay everybody. Calm down. Now updating the commit list Florida is putting together one hell of a class. Texas has one hell of a class. Oklahoma has a pretty good class. And so do we. We are doing quite well for right now. So please calm down.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||I am speaking in reference to||
I am talking about the, oh so coveted, star rankings. Either we are on par or doing better than the top programs in relation to star rankings, save Texas. I checked a couple of days ago. I checked Florida, FSU, University of Miami, Ohio State, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, Auburn, I think you get the picture. Now, I didn't use Rivals. I just went through Scouts. If you look at our class in relation to the other top programs I think all of you will be happily surprised with our current position. Now the Sooners has a better balanced class imho. But not a better ranked...well maybe theirs is better than ours right now too. But, still the argument is relevant.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||No!||
That is unacceptable, Shock. Twenty 5*'s is the benchmark. And then, just to be charitable, we'll throw in an almost fiver as so to keep the common touch with the lesser programs.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||huh?||
The only school that is doing better in recruiting right now is Texas. And traditionally Texas has their recruiting wrapped up early. What Tom is saying is that let RR evaluate the talent and let us judge the product on the field. We aren't in a position to say who is and who isn't good. You need to read that article by Mark Snyder, I believe that's who wrote it, in regards to our past five star recruits and how many of them panned out. You'll be surprised at who can, will and does pan out. If there is talent to be had in these kids, then it is just talent until it is molded by two things: a good program in place, this includes the right system, the right personnel to coach up said recruit in that system and a good s&c program. So more is on RR to get the talent out of the kid then someone evaluating what the talent is or isn't.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||Bingo! Bango!||
Damn good show!!!! Ditto. Cosign. On spot! Spot on! And Right on!! Looks at the board* Ahhhh...What Tom just said.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||I was reading,||
I was reading his comments at the coaches clinic he had this year where he stated that he doesn't care about the recruiting services rankings etc...He knows what players fit his system and he offers in relation to what he thinks they can do to help. I don't disagree with any of what has been posted here. I just believe that we have to have faith in what the man is doing until it proves to not be the right thing. I know that some of these guys are the lesser likes and they jump at the opportunity to play for the block M. I think he is learning this too. He blanketed the field with a lot of offers in the hopes of snagging some good ones. It'll work out. That is how I see it. FWIW
|4 years 51 weeks ago||sounds like an echo||
Sounds like an echo.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||laughs,||
It is okay guys. I am not jumping up and down like we've won a sweepstakes here but I will say, and I know it is cliche to say it right now,. If they offered the kid, he fits their system. So welcome...what is the recruits name again?
|4 years 51 weeks ago||he didn't,||
He didn't look half bad in the scrimmage.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||prescient?...||
hmmmm...me thinks you are speaking in a language that Mcfarlin can't understand. Good job Gordie. 3+ for usage of the word, another 2+ for adding Barwis to your post. Let's see...another 1+ for the right amount of sarcasm and that brings you to a total of 6. You are on your way to the second round.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||They are renaming the Heisman,||
They are renaming the Heisman the Tebow, so he is a lock. Favre wants to break a few more records before he gets his nomination to the hall. He is trying to see if he can throw as many interceptions as he has yards.
As far as Gino is concerned, his numbers are sick as a college QB. You can't question his admittance into the hall. But, in the same respect, Howard is a no brainer.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||I heard,||
Tacopants is transferring to ASU with Threet. So technically that would make him a former player who posted on this board before.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||one word||
|4 years 51 weeks ago||If I had two cents,||
I would offer them up in some whimsical witty way to make you all laugh. But as it stands I am no more than a two bit hobo who sales my body for money up in east lansing where a girl isn't afraid to tongue kiss the one tooth homeless dude with halitosis.
I miss the revolution. The WLA were alright with me.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||Even though it was late,||
The Pryor saga that went on here is a prime example. You exhaust all your efforts after one kid and he goes some place else and what you're left with is Feagin. No knock on Feagin, I am just saying.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||Wow, you brought||
You brought this little gem over from the Dior Mathis thread? Do me a favor. No, better yet, do us all a favor. Let that thread die over there.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||No no no||
I was being sarcastic then lol next time I will have to be more blatant. Sorry, TC.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||I feel your pain, Maize||
But I sorta agree with them. Ahh, hell I am torn.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||Cool,||
I will accept being a loser. Now are you trying to advise me or give me advice? And are you calling me a loser or saying I am looser? And without being sarcastic, it is you're not your.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||for the record,||
I agree with your observation Captain and would just like to say that I am tickled to death that the posionous nuts had a good outing. I am as equally thrilled that the OSU fans like to run over to our board post his stats (I am not saying it was done in this thread but in previous thread this occured)and liked trained puppies we all shiver in fear of the big bad wolf. Look, they got a good team. I am happy that their team is good. It makes it all the more precious when we insert foot up their pasty asses.
And before the naysayers come out and say that David will never defeat Goliath...(since when did Michigan ever consider itself David?) I'd like to point out that a lot of smooth stones were hurled in the direction of Cooper's juggernauts and it is way past time to hurl some more south with extreme f**king prejudice.
They all can kiss that spot on my ass where the boil resides.
Insert crazy rant about OSU here
|4 years 51 weeks ago||okay,||
Maybe my sarcasm-o-meter is malfunctioning. Prima donna is the proper term. Pre- madonna, pre madonna or any other term that uses pre in akin to fore, first, prior, (aka before) is not the correct usage of the word.
Madonna, The virgin Mary. Mother of our Lord and saviour.
Madonna, Pop star, celebrity, one who likes to simulate sexual acts on stage while performing songs in which she talks about, wait for it...sex!!!
Prima, meaning the most important performer or role.
Donna, an Italian woman of rank.
You put these two words together and well you get prima donna...see?
Why am I doing this? I feel like I am making a citizens arrest. I am not part of the Mgoblog police. Oh, WLA why has thou forsaken us?
WHERE IS CHITOWNBLUE, DEX and the rest of WLA. Hell, where is WolvinLA. Someone please, help.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||Good job, Tom||
Invaluable. Really appreciate what you do around here.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||He'd be a good fit,||
He'd be a good fit for Philly. But I don't think he is going anywhere. They probably drafted those guys to motivate him to play. If one of them pans out then next year...maybe.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||Ohhhhh I get it||
This would be a jeapordy category?....What is pop music before Madonna?...
|4 years 51 weeks ago||I don't want to say it,||
No no I am going to say it. He's a teenage impressionable kid who loves the attention he is getting. From everything I've read on him, he is a Neon Deon in the making. Maybe not Neon Deon, but definitely a little prima donnaish.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||You don't need my permission.||
I don't see what's wrong with a healthy dose of hating when it comes to the posionous nuts. They broke the record, good for them. Pryor played well, good for them. Even as I type this sh** I am throwing up in my mouth.
The posionous nuts can do us all a favor and live up to their names and go suck on some poison.
MMMMMMMMMMMmmmmm, feel the love.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||They've got a couple,||
They have a couple of Wolverines on their team, don't they?
|4 years 51 weeks ago||Yes,||
I too appreciate the complex puzzle that is Mcfarlin. I have grown to admire the multifaceted and well roundedness of his zingers. It warms my heart to see that someone else here shares my sentiments.
Now I would be remiss if I didn't say that I am ashamed of my fellow bretheren here who have taken to the Mblog streets with pitchforks and torches with the thirst of blood on their lips, seeking to destroy the one original voice we still have here. Mcfarlin, guardian of Tate, bearer of the whimsical wit. Oh, Mcfarlin, poor soul. You have been cursed with the gift of originality in a place that clutches to its traditions.
But fear not, your coming to this place was foreseen! For the keepers of the souls Mfans everywhere spoke of this day. The day when one would come and rattle the cages of the old fuddy duddy's. That day is now. All I can say is rattle on, Mcfarlin...rattle on. Oh, and from this day forward CPS shall be your guide on your God forsaken journey to protect all that is Tate. Listen to him. He means thee well.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||they get,||
They get a couple of picks tomorrow, right?
|4 years 51 weeks ago||Wow,||
Good for the poisonous nuts. But, still, there is a part of me that thinks that they were motivated to do it because of RR's talk about doing it.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||It is good to see,||
It is good to see that everyone is happy again.
|4 years 51 weeks ago||especially,||
Especially in run support. Maualuga can cover from sideline to sideline. I was surprised they didn't take him with the second pick. I was surprised they didn't him with the third.
|4 years 52 weeks ago||For what it's worth,||
I think Christian Green would be a good pick up. He has already stated that he would like to play WR at the next level if the QB thing didn't pan out. His tape looks pretty good too. But if you want some serious info on the guy you need to talk with Tom VH, The Other Brian or maybe Magnus.
|4 years 52 weeks ago||And don't forget||
Don't forget that feeder school down there in Glenville that Ginn Sr is running.
|4 years 52 weeks ago||buicks||
Buicks are also known for being a reliable car that holds its value. And I admit I love that lacrosse car they have. I think branding is what got the big three in trouble in the first place. For a good part of the nineties people branding (rightly so) their vehicles as being, well...sucky. This stigma has stuck with them even though the quality of the products they put out has improved. It's like being the kid that smells like pee in grade school. No matter where you go in life or what you do when ever you run into an old classmate you'll be piss pot (insert name here)
|5 years 22 hours ago||I hate it when,||
I hate it when people talk about soccer. I call it kickball. And you play it with a deflated basketball in the backyard when you can't get enough guys to play a pick up game of football and/or basketball.
|5 years 22 hours ago||Six Zero||
You are starting to become my hero, man.
|5 years 23 hours ago||what amazes me,||
What I am always taken with people on this site is the automatic assumption that Denard is destined for another position. Who says that he doesn't beat out Tate?
|5 years 1 day ago||Ohhhh, I get it!!||
Someone is Canadian. Got it!
