Nice!

As a former English major and a current beer enjoyer, I think this place sounds incredible. I love the names of the beers! I have some family in Indianapolis... the next time I'm there I'll definitely check this place out.

Yep. Totally tearing up at

Yep. Totally tearing up at work. I have a feeling Denard will always be my favorite Michigan Man. Not just because he was such an exciting player and seemed like such a fantastic person, but also because of the spark he gave the program during such a discouraging time.

Hahahaha... agreed!

Thanks for sharing the Mone

Thanks for sharing the Mone article. What an inspirational kid. I'm excited to see him play at Michigan.

By the way, I took four semesters of Latin at UM, and I'm pretty sure I remember translating a passage from the Aeneid along the lines of: "If you don't like the way a blog is written/ feel free to stop reading it/ instead of being a condescending troll." That Virgil was a prescient dude.

Another quote that comes to mind:

"When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, 'Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.'" -- Fred Rogers

God bless the helpers today.

Coming from a former

Coming from a former journalist... it is unfortunate that the media tends to turn tragedy into 24/7 sensationalistic entertainment, but that has been the trend for years. It's one of the major reasons I left the business.

My heart aches for everyone affected today. Such a horrible thing to go through, on a day that should have been about celebration, achievement and joy. Just sickening.

This team has been crazy fun

This team has been crazy fun to watch, and everyone here at MGoBlog has made it all the more enjoyable. Even when I was in the throes of anxiety watching the game last night, I was cracking up at hilarious posts in the liveblog and feeling grateful that I have a place to go to indulge my obsessive fandom. Thanks guys!

Thanks for posting! I didn't

Thanks for posting! I didn't think I could get any more proud of the team, but I just did. Classy representatives of the university and admirable human beings. Also, I want to give Stauskas a hug.

The only thing keeping me

The only thing keeping me going at work today is the fact that I get to see penguins this afternoon. Penguins make everything better.

Thanks to the team for

Thanks to the team for representing Michigan with class, determination and guts. This team will always have a special place in my heart. Go Blue!

WOOOHOO

SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!

SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW!

I picked up a create-your-own

I picked up a create-your-own six pack with Blue Moon Valencia Grove Amber, Purple Haze, Shock Top End of the World Midnight Wheat, Leinenkugels Summer Shandy & Berry Weiss, and Florida Avenue Blueberry (local brew). I wasn't planning to consume all of them tonight, but really it depends on how the game goes...

Maybe they could read the Tao

Maybe they could read the Tao Te Ching together as they drink their tea.

Maybe a little of both? There

Maybe a little of both? There are *a lot* of Michigan/Midwestern transplants here in Florida -- people of all ages. Also, I think many FSU fans like Michigan right now simply because they love seeing Florida lose :)

These videos make me feel

These videos make me feel warm and fuzzy. Go Blue!

I live in Orlando, and when I

I live in Orlando, and when I came into work this morning, I had numerous coworkers who are Florida State fans come up to me and high five/congratulate me on the win yesterday. Haven't been approached by any Gator fans yet, though...

I went to Michigan for

I went to Michigan for undergrad and Syracuse for grad school as well. I like both teams, but I will definitely be cheering for Michigan on Saturday. They're my first love and their time has come!

Badass.

Badass.

So much so that I apparently needed to post it twice. (Sorry)

Badass.

Badass.

Ha!

I'm actually a big fan of Cleveland, too. Some cool neighborhoods and great restaurants. But every time I say that to someone, they look at me like I'm crazy.

What really got me was the

What really got me was the list of the different media outlets that reported varying dates of death (and apparently made up a city that doesn't exist... Associated Press, I'm looking at you). Embarassing. It's times like this that make me glad I left the journalism business -- all too often now, it's about sensationalized stories rather than actual news.

These highlights made me

These highlights made me smile and tear up at the same time. I'm still in denial.  I don't know what to say, so I'll just say: Thank you Denard, we love you and we'll miss you.

The Denard haiku makes me

The Denard haiku makes me teary-eyed, a reaction that may or may not be intensified by the four beers I had at happy hour, but... man, I'm really going to miss watching him play Michigan football. A one-of-a-kind guy, a once-in-a-lifetime player.

Funchess!

I love that Funchess freakin' leaps out of the frame to make that touchdown catch... badass.

I see a lot of missed

I see a lot of missed tackles... what a speedy little roadrunner! I'm glad that she appears to be doing something she loves, and is supported by her coach, team and family. Go Sam!

Thank you for the opportunity

Thank you for the opportunity to contribute. I'm a Michigan alumna now living in Florida, and I've spent a lot of time volunteering with homeless children and low-income families in the Orlando area. I know there is much work to be done... but it's people like you and programs like this one that make a difference and change lives, one step at a time.

Enjoy your visit to the Big House!

That Chantel Jennings article

That Chantel Jennings article has me sitting in my cubicle wiping away tears. A beautiful story.

I know Denard's injury is

I know Denard's injury is serious business (feel better soon, buddy)... but that kitten gif is cracking me up.

I don't even want to think

I don't even want to think about next year without Denard. I hope he gets well soon -- our chances to watch him play football in a Michigan uniform are dwindling, and I'll take as many chances as I can get.

(No subject)

...the planet where people

...the planet where people dunk their heads in buckets of urine for money?

Last night's game was

Last night's game was frustrating and disappointing, yes. But after the past few years I no longer think it's the end of the world when Michigan has a bad game, even one that was this bad. I think 2008 permanently knocked some perspective into me. Time to focus on the Big Ten schedule.

As for Denard, my appreciation for what he's done for this team and this university far outweigh any frustration I feel about his performance last night or during any other game. He had a bad night (it happens). He took responsibility for it. That's all he can do. I, for one, am still glad to have him leading this team. I've had to stop reading other fans' comments in places like the Michigan Football Facebook page because the level of vitriol against Denard is getting out of control and embarassing. If only certain portions of the fan base could show the same maturity and class as our quarterback...

I was just thinking the same

I was just thinking the same thing! I'm having a tough time sitting still, I have so much nervous/excited energy right now.

GO BLUE from SEC country...

GO BLUE from SEC country... show 'em how it's done, fellas!

I'm not sure what you mean,

I'm not sure what you mean, but it sounds like I may have inadvertently said something offensive or in bad taste, and if that's the case, I apologize.

Kicker Girl

Yesss.... I've been waiting for the chance to buy a shirt like this!  No Michigan brunette should be without one ;) Thanks!

Thank you!

I'm super amped to get this in the mail... It will give me something to obsess about until the season begins. Great work, guys!

Oh my gosh, this is glorious.

Oh my gosh, this is glorious. The ski-jumping wolverine statue kills me. Thanks for cracking me up on a stressful day... even if I'm going to have nightmares about telepathic bears and flying squirrel suits tonight, totally worth it!

Okay, I'm a posbang thread

Okay, I'm a posbang thread virgin, but here goes -- I'm flying up to Cleveland this weekend for my sister's graduation. I know it's Ohio, but I'm sort of looking forward to escaping Florida for a few days... I love springtime/early summer in the Midwest (also, I love Cleveland).

Ha, that reminds me of when

Ha, that reminds me of when my sister came to visit me while I was attending U-M (she attended a party school in Florida). While we were walking around campus she said, "Wow this is like a *real* college."

Wait, wait, don't tell me....

Wait, wait, don't tell me.... Mother Theresa?

Count me in!

As a former English major I know how tough it can be. I work in marketing communications for an international hospitality company now, so I'm not in the Ann Arbor area, but I would be happy to be involved in something like this.

So many fun and hilarious

So many fun and hilarious details... I love it!

Yes! I used to love reading

Yes! I used to love reading that site... before I moved to Florida. Now it seems that every time I turn on the news, there's a new reason to be embarrassed about this state.

Maybe I find this post so

Maybe I find this post so hilarious because it's about Ohio, but it really had me chuckling in my cubicle for a good ten minutes. Well done. And Go Blue!
