I'm sure we did. We always played GR first game of the year at our place, because they didn't have their own field, we would alternate home/away jerseys each year. There is actually a trophy for that game, that I believe GR has never seen because they never won a game. Some of us fellas would go over to GR that week and paint the bell out front maroon and gold, do donuts on the practice field, etc, usual high school high jinks. We all new a bunch of kids on that team since many lived in Riverview. I don't believed they have played in years now.
Played at Riverview High School in the Huron league (class of 90). We always had good teams. Won the league many years. Usually go to the playoffs and then lost to Farmington Hills Harrision back then. They have made a few runs to the state championship. Alma Mater of Lloyd Carr and Bill McCartney.

I would really prefer we don't play Auburn. Living in Alabama I am around many Auburn fans. They are generally much better than Bama fans due to lack of arrogance. The recent butt hurt by bama fans has been a wonderful relief. However, I am married to an Auburn fan and well that probably won't be good, no matter who wins.
I also agree with this. What I saw yesterday was Jimmys and Joes issue not an Xs and Os. The talent level on Defense is just not where it needs to be to compete with OSU. In particular across the D line. That is not a quick fix unfortunately.

Man did I think Harbaugh was going to be our Saban, yes without question. He was my wolverine growing up and given his success at other stops I really thought he would have this thing humming by now. However, it seems It is not meant to be. Today we seemed as unprepared as I have ever seen them under him. I really wonder if we can ever be what we were when I was growing up and I think the answer is no. I thought he was a great motivator and got players to play over their ability, but it does not seem so. He is no Bo or anything close when it comes to motivation. It will probably be a couple years before anything is done though. so whatevs. Basketball is around the corner.
This is really more Wife weekend. She has been wanting the kitchen cabinets painted for some time. So this is the weekend. I am getting double points for this happening during bow season here and I am forgoing hunting this weekend as well to complete the task.
Tua play one half of football and chunked up a hail mary to win the game. He nearly blew the game the play before by taking a giant sack. Living down here in bama they have been ready to run Hurts out of town since that half of football. He is not a complete QB, but he QB'd the team to 2 losses in 2 year playing for the NC both years.
Marty called into the morning drive sports talk show Jox and spoke about the trip. Typically this segment is nascar related, but today's segment was entirely devoted to Michigan's trip. Marty highlighted the same points, particularly Normandy, but heavily expressed the benefits these men get from these trips. He was heavily in favor of Harbaugh/Michigan doing these trips and encouraged others to follow suit. The 2 hosts, who are bama homers, admitted they initially thought negatively of the trips, but have sinced changed their stance and agreed these trips are educational and beneficial to those invovled.
