Is it wrong to hope for another

Brian Kelly "Head Assplosion"?

Entire scenario seems logical
  1. Michigan/MSU is not a high priority to CBS since they mostly televise SEC games.
  2. If the punch play was the first/only thing I saw, I would agree that Lewan was the aggressor.
  3. When more film is shown, the overall context is further understood.

At least he was man enough to publicly admit he made a mistake and apologize for it.  Hopefully he will learn to get all the facts in the future prior to posting comments.

If Michigan football is important to you, than I don't think CBSSports would be a good place to be employed.

Agree completely

He seems too big of a risk to be a distraction to a team.

All I can think about is the guy who steals someone's girlfriend, and then is surprised and upset when she leaves him for someone else in the future.  I don't want to be that guy.

Depends on how many turnovers a game the offense has

Michigan will not be able to win all the remaining games on their schedule with 3 turnovers per game.  I will go with 10-2,  11-1 is possible if the turnovers are eliminated.  Either scenario could lead to an additional loss to Wisconsin in the Championship game.  Wisconsin just looks so much better than everyone else in the B1G.

Edit: Before the season, I thought 9-3.  Was hoping for a split in the ND & MSU games, did not think Illinois would be a problem, and thought Nebraska & Ohio would be much better than they appear right now.

I love all the possibilities with this formation

During the summer, I thought the Wildcat could be amazing with DG & DR.  The Diamond went way beyond my imagination.  However, after much consideration, I just do not want to see it used very often.  Please save it for the end of the season.  Maybe run it once or twice a game to keep upcoming opponents nervous.  My big fear is that by having both QB's out there at the same time, you increase the opportunity for one of them to get injured.

The favorable schedule is kind of exciting

and kind of scary.  Exciting to be 4 - 0, and have realistic opportunities to win the next 6 games.  However, it is scary to think that Michigan could end up with an outstanding record this season, and set up expectations which might be too high for next year.  Next year's schedule is brutal.  Could be very probable to have a better team next year with a worse record due to the difference in schedules.

I do agree that the secondary is playing tighter in coverage,

but some of this has to be attributed to the constant blitzing, and pressuring of the QB.  Opposing QB's are not getting to stand around all day while waiting on a 3 man rush.  Therefore, the DB's don't have to cover as long.  This helps reduce exposure to double moves and long crossing routes.

I thought he was quoting

Always important

to get a 2nd opinion.

Will we see triple posts

later?

I find his looks similar to most women at a bar...

The more beers you drink, the better she looks.  The more points Michigan scores, the more Gorgeous is Al Borges.

Leinenkugel Sunset Wheat

to start off with.

My "favorite poster" leaves

little to the imagination.

I went up to the counter to pay for my beer,

had my ID ready to pull out.....and the Bitch didn't even card me!

Do you have couselors available

for football recruits who might score too high on their college entrance exams?  (If not, said recruits may need to be sent to Vandy)

Irish,

Where do you see ND going, if anywhere?

2 WR,

1 OL, & 1 RB

I distinctly remember Corso putting on

A winged helmet prior to the Notre Game Dame.  Was he wrong with that one?  Or are we talking blind squirrels & acorns?

Generally, I root for Big 10 teams vs. Non-Conference

in Bowl Games.  Outside of that, every OSU loss is a good loss.  Not only because I can't stand them, but because Brady is making such a huge recruiting push in Ohio.  Until Michigan can consistently beat MSU every year again, MSU losses are good as well for recruiting purposes.

Michigan will be in the top 25 when the polls come out.

Clemson and Illinois both deserve to be ranked ahead of us.  Georgia Tech is a toss up, only because of success the last couple years.

Only if Florida and South Carolina will give consent.

Also, I believe Virginia and Virginial Tech. are a package deal....kind of like Oklahoma and Oklahoma St.

My experience is:

after # 5 or 6, I could drink malt liquor and be happy (at least for a little while).  I try to base my opinions on #'s 1 through 3.  Of course I just finished # 7 of various types from 5.1% - 8%, so maybe I will think differently tomorrow.  Oops, it is tomorrow.  Maybe I think differently already.  Shocktop Raspberry Wheat is now my new favorite!

I do highly recommend the Sunset Wheat.  However, it does kind of taste "Fruity"...sort of like a blueberry.  So if you have a strong dislike of "Fruity beer", you may not like it.

Charlotte Observer had an article mentioning Texas

Have to admit

Almost everything you listed is completely "Greek to me."  Must just be that those are not readily available in NC.  I did have the Summer Shandy, and everyone I spoke to in Michigan absolutely loved it.  However, it was definitely not my favorite.  I much preferred the coriander affect in the Sunset Wheat.  Never had anything with that flavor before.  I do tend to prefer the wheats.

Great to have this list

With the jumpstart in verbal commits Hoke & Co. have on 2013, I have definitely been curious about the other offers.  Can't wait for the rest of the intial rankings to come out.  Saw commentaries on ESPN Recruiting today about a potential early signing period.  I think this could be extremely beneficial to U of M recruiting to sign future kids early, and not have to worry about verbal commitments changing at a later point in time.

How is the Oktoberfest?

When I went to visit family in Michigan over the 4th of July, I had my first Leinenkugels.  The Sunset Wheat is one of my all time favorites.

Blue Moon Pumpkin Harvest Ale

Wild Blue

Highland Clawhammer Oktoberfest Seasonal (local brewery in Asheville, NC)

Shock Top  Raspberry Wheat

Boise St. is making OSU look bad....which is good!

This is about as good of an idea as having sex

with your mother-in-law.  99% of the population would be upset with the thought of it.  The remaining 1% who might actually go through with the idea (after enough alcohol), would wake up in the morning asking theirselves "What in the Hell is wrong with me?"

I think we both know that what TomVH has brought to MGoBlog

will not be degraded by a single satirical comment I posted.  Tom was not the target of the satirical post.  That is the nature of satire - some can see the humor, some are just offended.  Sometimes people need to be able to take a look at themselves and find humor in what they do.  There was a lot of self deprication in that post.  Following TomVH was what got me hooked on MGoBlog, and I see quite a bit of myself in the dialogue I posted.

On the other hand, if you are just an overly sensitive indiviual, then I fear I will offend you again in the future - just maybe at a different grade level.

You may stand corrected.

And I have nothing but appreciation and admiration for what Tom has done for MGoBlog.

Granted I agree with your logic as far as Floyd

potentially having a good game.  If Michigan wins, it won't matter if Floyd has 200 yards and 3 touchdowns.  He won't get too much Heisman Hype if Notre Dame is sitting at 0 - 2.

I've seen other players use their "Clubs" as weapons

Maybe he can get a good hit on Floyd with his Club and get him rattled.

Chairman of the NCAA Infractions Committee just stepped down

Maybe the Interim replacement will actually have a set and use them.

I miss TomVH on MGoBlog as much as anyone

However, these posts are getting a little redundant.

I can see tomorrow's already

OP: "TomVH scratched his ass on ESPN!"

Concerned MGoBlogger: "Hey, this is behind a paywall, can someone summarize?"

Helpful MGoBlogger: "TomVH just scratched his ass on video - boy he sure is short!"

I bet Michael Floyd's

designated driver will be there... or at least show up after the game.

Get Run DMC

Touchdown Jesus (hey-zeus)

Beating Florida in the Bowl Game again.

Had a bowl game pool at work.  Florida was a HUGE favorite.  I was the only person who picked Michigan to win in the entire pool.  I still have that sheet hanging in my office with my pick highlighted.  I think Tebow still has bruises from that game.

Unique perspective

I must say that every Michigan loss sucks.  I have been a fan since I was old enough to know what football was.  Parents were MSU fans, but I was attracted by the colors and helmets when I was around 4 or 5 years old.  Had to go blue, and have stayed loyal ever since.  Moved to NC when I was 12.  Usually only was able to watch 3-4 Michigan games a year on TV.  Had to watch shitty ACC football most of the time.  Hell, I remember watching the entire Florida/Florida State game just to catch the 4 or 5 "In Game updates" where Touchdown Tim ran all over Ohio State for 313 yards.  Big Ten Network is awesome as I now rarely miss a game.

The closest college football to where I lived was in a small little mountain town in Boone, NC.  Appalachain State University.  Without ASU, the town would probably not exist.  As far as most alumni and students are concerned, Football is the only athletic event at ASU.  Enrollment is around 15,000 students, but on gameday, over 30,000 fans fill up the stadium.  Highest attendance of any FCS school in the country by far.

When I heard ASU was to play Michigan, it was bittersweet.  I knew how important it would be for App, but I hated the thought of them getting crushed by Michigan.  There was never any doubt about who I would root for on gameday - Michigan.  I may have lived close to Boone since I was 12, but I had been a Wolverine fan for much longer than that.  I remember thinking how it was great that App was holding up for so long, but eventually, Michigan would pull it out in the end.  Probably the best scenario I could hope for.  However, Michigan failed to block Appstate's all time leading field goal/extra point attempt blocker... and the rest is history.

To this day, more people know about and talk about the victory against U of M than about the 3 consective FCS Championships App won.  You people crying like little girls about that game should consider what a compliment that is to the history, tradition, and excellence of the University of Michigan Football.  Whenever I wear my Michigan hat or shirt in public people come up to me and make a smartass comment about Appstate.  Fortunately for me, they almost always are dumbfounded when I tell them I graduated from Appalachain State University.  While they stand in silence, I confess "Every game that Michigan loses hurts, but that game hurt the least of any Michigan loss I have ever experienced.

Think about this...What college football game involving a BCS vs. FCS is ever going to garner more national attention than Michigan vs. Appstate?  That is what Brandon wants...National attention.  Schedule a good warm up game for the team against a decent football team, and have everybody in the country watching and talking about it.  Not stupid at all.

Being Deaf

could pose as a blessing in certain situations...like this.

Any bets the investigation lasts until after the Oregon Game

Then LSU and Miles can just claim they were waiting until the investigation was complete before deciding on any suspensions.

I agree with your sentiment

but it seems like the staff would lean on the O-line.  They keep talking about building confidence on defense.

I guess crotchless panties could actually work with

There has to be a grieving period

of some length.

I'm OK with the shorts as long as they are NEVER, EVER, EVER

designed by the people who designed Maryland's new uniforms.

Honest critique

Not sure about the order of material presented.  I would have started with the classic film, followed by taking the field.  Next, bring all the highlights from last year, with the team rushing the field at the end of the Illinois game being the logical conclusion.

There were some awesome highlights of DR, VS, & Roundtree.

I saw more of Bo & Lloyd than I saw of RR.

The succession of still shots made me a little dizzy.

Some pretty damn big Mexicans

if you ask me

I would like to see

someone show these pictures to Joe Paterno at his next press conference and see what he has to say about them.  Then cut to the studio to get Bob Knight's opinion right after that.  That would be some entertainment.

They must have had Kindergardeners
