I'm not exclusively blaming parenting, but, big idiots tend to create little idiots. If you have driven a car or visited this board, you can attest to the fact that idiot reproduction has been booming in America.
I totally agree. It is too easy to get a gun. An 18 year old kid with a valid drivers license can buy a M-16 in 10 minutes with not much of a screening process. I don't necessarily agree with that. But I'm fine with responsible gun ownership. I interpret a lot of these events more of a societal problem in this country than a gun problem is all I'm saying.
So my theory is that mobile phones/television/social media are partly responsible for this behavior. We have been programmed as a gun-toting, look at me society. Violence is glorified everywhere. That said, I own multiple guns and I 100% believe in having the right to defend my family and property. I think the problem lies in that people with no common sense roam freely among us. Some folks can't separate what is on tv with what is acceptable in real life. Their parents plopped them down in front of the tv and didn't monitor what is being absorbed. Society of lazy parents also I guess. Bottom line, guns don't kill people, people kill people.
The Premier League is physical. Most players that are new to the Premier League take a while to adjust because of the physicality and because the refs don't automatically reward you for flopping every time you fall like a sissy. The depth is pretty solid, with a cluster of teams fighting for the top four. The Bundesliga has physical play and very talented players, but is seemingly won every year by Bayern Munich ala Alabama. La Liga has top flight players, but is not nearly as defensive-minded, reminding me of the PAC 12 or Big 12.
Exactly. The Premier League= Big Ten. Bundesliga =SEC. La Liga is wide open like the PAC 12, and so on. Often when I explain the leagues to non watchers, I use the same analogies.
Though the big clubs play mostly their B squads, the FA Cup is pretty cool. The fact that you can take a giant club into a town of 2,500 a play the local team on the local ground is pretty cool. I usually find myself rooting for the smaller clubs unless my preferred Premier League squad is playing. And for whatever reason, I find these games more watchable than a lot of the Premier League fixtures.
I agree with some of that. I wouldn't suggest we just run in to a brick wall over and over. But when we have successful runs it seems we never stay with it. Also, considering our offensive line is quite mediocre, let those guys fire out and hit someone. The cliche remedy that run blocking is the best way to help an offensive line is not all poppycock. All lineman prefer to run block. I would just like to see them committ to running and see if they can mesh and get momentum.
Personally, I think as long Evans is a capable enough pass protector and can hold on to the ball, he's the guy. He has the burst and isn't gun shy regarding conact. I would have Isaac as my #2 change of pace guy\ thumper between the tackles. Higon had a lane or two last night and didn't quite hump it up in there, instead he tried dance. He'll get some opportunities. I love Deveon Smith. He runs angry and gets the most out of the talent he was blessed with. That being said, he's slow, he regularly misses the whole, and doesn't seem to be the most sure handed fella. To me he is a situational goal line type guy. I just really would like them to stick with a guy and allow him to get in a rhythm. Subbing guys out constantly does not allow any such rhythm. I guess I'm a pound the run type of guy.(manball?) That is all.
Very few times, if any, have we really committed running the ball. We look like a pass first offense that uses a lot of gimmicky stuff. No identity, no bread and butter. Run and keep the best looking back in the game and go downhill.
I'd bet O'Korn can run this offense pretty well. Get him in live action and give him some easy throws and settle him in. He'll be fine, especially if we could just committ to running the damn ball. Run the shit out of it, open up easy play action throws and we'll be good with any of the qbs.
These kinds of games are common in college football. That's what makes it great. The crowd and emotions can effect the game immensely This was a classic trap game. We got Michigan State's best game and survived. Tonight Iowa's best game got us. We kinda got out Harbaughed. We're still in the Big Ten drivers seat and can still make the playoff. I'm not going to panic, this road experience will make us better in the long run.
If it is it seems Iowa would be the better game for him to attend. He could get a good meal and cheer his alma mater to victory. Win win.Better yet, he could have a $2 steak using the grass as the plate. And of course, wash it down with a glass of whole milk.
I want him to win as much as everyone else, but he has exactly 0 (zero) interceptions in a Michigan uniform. I think that is a going to be used as a substantial knock against him, considering he is a primarily defensive player.
My 4 year old son likes to sing that Bruno Mars song funktown, but when he says it it sounds a little different. Needless to say he usually doesn't sing it unless there are multiple friends, parents, random strangers in public around. So without prior warning he will belt out "fuck town fuck you up, fuck town fuck you up". Obviously he doesn't realize how much it sounds like a splattering of curse words. The looks on people's faces are priceless
Cheryl Miller? If we're talking a woman that dominated her competition. I'm thinking in Babe's case that there weren't many organized sports for women. Add that at the time it was widely believed a woman's place was in the home raising children and what have you. If woman's sports we're a little more prevalent then, I think Babe would have had some competition.

I know I may get kilked for it and I love Kirk Gibson as much as the next Tiger fan. But I'm sorry, he just doesn't do it for me. Monotone voice, and he seems to explain every single play as if the viewer has never watched a baseball game. Over analysis. I didn't think there would be a day that I would be excited to see Hot Rod back next to Mario.
I really don't care for these shoes. Just personal preference. I'm more of an air max and other sweet looking and tremendously comfortable Nikes. As opposed to the generic 1980's air force one look.
Michigan Stadium is beautiful as is. After being there last night for the first time since last fall, it's a fresh reminder of how badass yet classy it is.
Also, this notion that an administration, donors, alumni, general massive fanbase that is so traditional would allow a huge overhaul of the big house is ludacris. I mean, people on this board freak out about uniform fonts and whatnot
He may as well go somewhere and get starters minutes. I thought physically that he could be the tough banger down low that so many of us on the board clamor for. Really seemed to be too jittery and rushed himself into countless bumbling turnovers trying to either catch the ball, or dribble the ball, or go up with the ball. That said best of luck to him. Not sure we've seen the last of Ricky Doyle. Hell, he may be 6th man of the year in the conference in couple dozen months.
The grates greatly reduce flare ups. Nice even heat. Wanna say it was like $200. Regardless, a cover is a must if you want to slow the rust. We're in Michigan fergodsakes.
Yes, it appears ole Bertie took the hog sooey a little too literal. Maybe Bert Baconstock. The only thing under more pressure in Fayetteville is his belt.(mic drop)
Today is the first time I've watched him play. Setting these records at his size shows you the size of his heart. The overall durability to stay healthy for four years running the triple option is quite amazing. It's a damn shame he didn't get a Heisman invite.

Lethal Weapon was the first thing that popped in my head when I read that.

-1 for bringing the up the election in any way in my football sanctuary. Haven't we had enough election.
You're just the worst kind of person.
