It's the exact opposite.
|3 days 16 hours ago||This might help.||
My wife couldn't see it, so I did a little photoshopping. Now she sees it. Take the main pic. Block out everything but the shaded area in the upper left. Now run it through a couple of contrast enhancers. Looks darker, but the hues haven't changed.
Now unblock it. Bam. Blue/Black.
|3 days 17 hours ago||The lighting is key||
If your eyes have slightly more receptive rods than cones, you'll see White & Gold as your eyes pick up the shadow/highlight, well, but the color poorly.
If your eyes have slight better cones than rods, you'll see black/blue, as your eyes pick up color but fail to account for contrast.
I see White/Gold, but I can get the impression of blue. Buzzfeed says Black/Blue.
This is why all NASA images are always marked that color is approximated. it's all about perception/mixing.

It looked like Harbaugh was telling the QB's not to take that little hop-step after their drop before the throw - I hope they catch onto that. So many of our passes last year were late.
Let the recievers do the work. Drop, Throw. Repeat.

Look at that haircut. The big, toothy, smile. This is not a man in control of anything. Al's Ghost wants burners.

|2 weeks 5 days ago||His brand of satire||
Requires that he mostly be a-political. With interviewees, he has to know the issues better than they know them themselves - so that he can call them out. Agree with him or not, I can't recall a time he took a lean on a story that wasn't at least based on facts.
|2 weeks 5 days ago||He should go into politics for real||
Dude has more credibility than anyone else I can think of in the political world right now. His particular brand of satire demanded that he be well versed in the issues and the only side he could take was The Truth.
he could run for just about any office and I'd vote for him.

|4 weeks 2 hours ago||A big solution in this case||
A big solution in this case is obviously reducing crime in the city - but of course, it's poverty that pushes many into crime. I think really, really good, safe public transportation, that let everyone get to work, school, medical helpt, etc, would go a long way.
Monroe County has the LET, and it works very well. I have never used it, but I always vote for it. It's like 1/8th MIL, and the senior population relies on it.
|4 weeks 2 hours ago||The article||
Makes it sound like at this point - he probably really could get a car, with help from his work, etc - but he understands how his life works rigtht now, and it'd be another headache he doesn't need. I get that.
The circumstances that drove him to this point are a terribly commentary on assistance for the poor in Detroit - but if somebody arrives somewhere they never wanted to be and finds they like it there, well that's a bit of a differen story.
That said, he needs to get some sort of transportation so he doesn't end up keeled over in a snow bank with a heart attack, or killed in a hit & run at 3 AM.

And the ball is a little slow - floats a little.
Still, it gets there with very good accuracy - and the release point you can coach. He's probably not an absolutely top tier guy, but he's at least a Minny/Iowa level, I think.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||Well||
Now, you can tell him that. When he's 13-14 though, and still wants to go out for the team, are you really going to tell him, "No, I won't allow you to participate in an organized sport because it might be dangerous?" Most teens don't respond well to that.

No no no. Yours is enormous and omnipotent and actually quite attractive.

But, it doesn't mean we shouldn't use it as a guideline to continue to improve our safety methods in the mean time.
|4 weeks 4 days ago||I feel there should be a few levels of football||
Little kids play tackle, but the kind of tackle where every play is a run either center, left, or right, and nobody on the field weighs more than 40 lbs, and half of the kids stand there watching the butterflies. Essentially football t-ball. I say it should be tackle, because it's less dangerous than roughhousing with daddy, and it makes sense to kids.
Once kids hit about 1st to 2nd grade, they need to start learning some of the strategies of the game. Proper blocking. Proper positions. ETC. But now, since they're learning the strategies of the game, how to move their bodies, etc, I think flag football makes the most sense. Kids won't benefit from getting hit at this time anyway. They need to learn NOT to associate making the play properly with pain.
Then, maybe 8th grade is time to start the kids on real tackle football training. But for one year, it's only intra-squad stuff. You spend a year learning to take the flag footballl skills you've dveloped for the past 7/8 years, and turn them into real footballl. You practice tackling and being tackled by and on team mates, without the pressure of winning a game making you break form and do something stupid.
By 9th grade, you understand the game and your best positions very, very well, and you've had an entire year of schooling in just how to play the tackle game right. Welcome to the JV.
My 2 Cents.

I'm sure they went into these things thinking they could make everyone a nice profit. But that's not their decision to make. Normal people get that.

|4 weeks 5 days ago||Only Johnny B||
Only Coach B could have not just the nation's leading, but the all-time RECORD setting offense two years running - enter the next season, see that it just wasn't working, and in just a few weeks, turn the team into a defensive juggernaught. I mean, holy crap.
"Why a smug little grin? It's okay, when you're better than everyone else at something, you can do it, too."
