Continuing the Defensive UFR will be a good exercise for the year. You should dump the offensive one, but I would suggest at least tracking the shot chart if it is not too much effort. I'd be curious to see the trends during the year. Pairing the shot chart with some explained advanced metrics and key plays should provide guidance for people watching basketball and looking for something different information-wise.
Also, I'm glad to see you remembered scacchoops.com. I have noticed some issues with their possession statistic during games lately, though.
It's college football. Almost anything can happen from week to week considering NW beat Iowa and Minnesota beat Illinois in Champaign. Enjoy the ride is all I can really say at this point.

Arkansas is the perfect team to expose the young defensive seconday of Alabama. The Crimson Tide will still excel, but it's a good matchup for the Razorbacks.
Now, for UCLA beating Texas...I can't explain that...

I admit, there are stupid people that are loving on a 2nd string vs a first string, but give the kid credit for taking a game that was in question and putting it away without assuming that the people supporting him are negative to the starting QB.
Looking at the Depth Chart, I count 18 available scholarships available if one is allocated each to Grady, Leach, and Kovacs and Woolfolk gets another year.
If a scholarship is not provided to each of the walk-ons (Grady, Leach, Kovacs), then I count 21 available.
I currently live in Centreville which is a bit West of the city, and there is a Velocity 5 there that I would not mind creating a pro-UM atmosphere. It was empty this past Saturday, and I'm sure a little business would make them happy as well.
In true Zooker fashion, this Sheelhaan (sp?) kid at Illinois is like a Juice Williams with a shorter skill set. On 1st and 10 he throws into double coverage right into the hands of a Missouri Safety.
Looks like that MSU turnover people are calling for is happening in St Louis right now...

According to the NCAA, if a major violation occurs within 5 years of the punishment of another one, then the repeat offender provision can be instituted.

Completely agree with the tackling comment. Good CF, perfect form tackles, and pretty good instincts.
He is a little stiff and I noticed that on run support he does get sucked into the middle a bit. Solid reaction to make the tackles, but a better back could burn the corner and trap him.
Still, his potential looks better than any other deep safety M have on the roster right now.
The state of Michigan is one of the few states that requires ACT for its scores. Most other states require the SAT instead.
That said, who knows if he will qualify based on SAT scores either.

There is a time and a place for it, and a good three will lead to a better eFG% which has been shown to be a truer measure of a team's shooting performance.
It's all about selection, and the past two or three have been spot on.
It is an ugly offensive game. Both team Off Efficiency are under 90 at the half. MSU = 80.6 and UM = 89.4
State turning the ball over on 35% of possessions. Michigan eFG% of 32.3.
It'll be interesting to see if Michigan can get a few more shots to fall and if MSU can break the 1-3-1 a bit better.
I imagine it has something to do with two things:
Michigan State's size
MSU's quickness in getting out after a missed FT. They score a lot by pushing after a miss.
This is the best I've seen the 1-3-1 all year. It's actually extending state out and that is where it's effective.
It looks Mich has gotten away with a few calls so far.

Te'o is a good athlete, but he overcommits to everything. A counter based team like Stanford will eat him alive until he learns discipline.
