I was in the student section for that game. Didn't Perry get a stinger in his quad ad they kept having to pick him up. At one point I remember seemingly the whole stadium chanting PER-REY PER-REY!!

I work at Oregon State, and Tinkle was out on the quad today meeting people while they were also filming a segment of Ellen on campus. It was 75 and sunny, and has been all week. Beautiful day for some campus events. My colleagues and I actually got a picture with Tinkle and Benny Beaver, but I can't post them because I'm on my phone.

I watched Michigan beat NoDak from Corvallis, Oregon and then bought a plane ticket the next day and made it to Minny for the title game. What a great weekend that was. Everything but the result of the last game was amazing.

This is a great point. We start fouling, and Kentucky would have every reason to get their best free throw shooters out there. Plus, we've all seen before that it can be hard to foul the person you want to foul. In a love game situation with the clock running down, we may end up having to foul one of their better shooters and the percentages change drastically.

Here's the thing, the 2-3 works well against Tennessee because they can't shoot 3s. Michigan obviously can, so if Mercer wants to zone up against us, I have a feeling we will be ready. If were on from 3 we will bomb them back to the Stone Age.

Yep. And I went to ticket websites in search if times and it's all listed as TBD still.

Personally I'm glad to hear it. I know the last few years have been rough, but I still have faith in Red. He's a living legend across all of hockey. And if he still think he's can do it, then I'm all for it.

Can anyone explain to me why Tennessee is ranked so high by KenPom? I know his system sometimes produces some weird results, but nothing about Tennessee's resume suggests they should be the number 7 team in the country.

Favored to play for the final four. Not favored to make it.

You mean until Michigan plays later today right? I'd love to see a repeat of a VCU or Florida type game. Here's hoping!!

Louisville is like an entire teams of Crafts. They mug you all over the court and get called for about 1/5 of the fouls they should. Of course, they are also very unlike Craft in that they can score points.

Spoiler Alert: the March Madness thing is definitely real, as evidenced by this radio ad they run every year. Snip City baby!!

Part of me wishes that Red would have retired after making the title game a few years ago. There is something to be said about going out on or near the top. And if we had taken care of Duluth, I think he would have called it a career. That being said, I do feel like Red should be allowed to stay as long as he wants to. The man is a living legend. Not just in college hockey, but across the entire sport. He should and hopefully will have a statue outside Yost someday. I know Michigan doesn't usually do things like that, but I think they should make an exception for Red. I'm hoping he knows when to retire and maybe that should be now, but I don't want to force him out the door either.

Just got done watching the game on the DVR since I'm on the west coast. Other than the 6-7 minute stretch in the second half, we pretty much controlled the game from start to finish. We didn't shoot great and were a little sloppy, but I doubt those things will carry over to Saturday. Plus I think the pace of the game really made this game look even uglier. I noticed that Wofford was basically abandoning the offensive boards to get back on defense, which prevented any semblance of transition offense off of all their bricks. Anyway, on to the next round! I'm excited for Saturday and think we'll look a lot better! Go Blue!!

Not sure they got hosed. Anyway, the last 4 auto bid teams play each other and the last 4 at large teams play each other. It's a way to add more teams without making only the little guys pay for it.

Yep, I agree. A win would be so sweet but a loss would be absolutely horrible. I'm content with them flaming out early and proving to about 50 analysts and 500,000 other people that two conferences tournament wins does not make you a lock to win it all.

Yes, thanks. Got it confused with last year.
|16 weeks 3 days ago||What about Cincy? They could||
What about Cincy? They could also tag State. Seriously though, I know MSU looked like world beaters for two days this weekend (I'm not counting the NW game), but I still have games fresh in my memory where they really struggled against inferior teams in Ohio State and Illinois. Sure, they could run roughshod over their region on the way to the final four, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they ducked out this weekend. As we all know, it only takes one bad game in the NCAAs to end your season, and State has been so inconsistent that I'm literally stunned how so many people can think they're a lock for Atlanta.
|16 weeks 3 days ago||I think it's about the way||
I think it's about the way the AD phrased it that is causing the uproar. You're a grown man making millions to represent a big time university. Maybe you should take a second to think before you open your mouth and offend people with your superiority. Turning down the CBI isn't the issue for me. It's the "We are Indiana" stuff.
|16 weeks 3 days ago||Because they weren't good||
Because they weren't good enough? There are a lot of auto bids to the NIT (mid major conference champs who lose their conference tourney) and so they simply weren't selected as an at-large for the NIT based on their body of work. Minny is a 1 seed and Illinois a 2 in the NIT, so lol at Indiana is definitely in order.

Oh well. Just like the past two months, msu will beat someone, think they've turned the corner, and then get slammed back to reality during the weekend. That's been the Sparty special since January.

|17 weeks 2 days ago||This exactly. I think he's a||
This exactly. I think he's a decent WR, but I am not a fan of him as a player. I dont really like the attitude he brings to the game. Yes, this goes back to his days at ND, but he also hasn't really changed since then. However, I am also not a Lions fan nor am I a big NFL fan in general.
I'm sure Seattle fans all loved him, just like they love Richard Sherman. And now, all the Lions fans on here are defending him like crazy, which is fine and makes sense. But from an outsiders perspective, the guy has an attitude problem. That doesn't make it a bad move for the Lions, however. I'm just not a fan of it.

|17 weeks 3 days ago||Here's the thing I always||
Here's the thing I always have to remind myself of when thinking about the decision to go pro or stay in school: College is great, but there are some crappy parts as well (midterms, papers, dorms, no money, etc.) and we are talking about the idea of a young kid getting PAID to play the sport he loves. They get to drop everything else, focus in playing ball, and get paid handsomely to do so. Sure there is a chance they flame out after a couple years and wish they had stayed in school but that does not cross the mind of most 20 year olds who are told they'll go in the first two rounds of the draft. I loved my time at Michigan, but if someone had offered me a million dollars to leave early and start my career it would have been tough to turn down. That's why I can't really blame any kid for leaving if they're going to get drafted.

It will be interesting to see how the committee compares us to Wisconsin. Do we get credit for winning the B1G over them by 3 games? I thought I heard that the committee likes to reward conference champs. What about the fact that we are 15-3 in our last 18 games while Wisconsin is 12-6? Sure, we have 7 losses but 4 of those happened in 2013. We'll see next week how it all shakes out.
