Not that this will make you…

Not that this will make you feel better, but this has been a common issue with stubhub this season across all schools with integration between Paciolan (the largest third party ticketing software used in college sports) and stubhub. I work at Purdue and we've had the same issue. If you've already talked to someone at stubhub, I'd reach out to the UofM ticket office and they can reach out to their contact at Stubhub to get your money refunded. We've done this for a handful of customers at Purdue. Sorry you had to experience that this year.

The reality of the situation Ticket revenues and donations have decreased over most of that time period, so as attendance has dropped at Purdue and around the country in recent years, TV Revenue increases have just replaced that. In addition tuition costs for student-athletes has doubled in the last 6 years at Purdue and many other schools. We are at a tipping point across the country where TV revenues are replacing gate sales. It's a serious concern for AD's.

Advice from Purdue The RV4 lot out by the airport is your only option. It is just beyond the only public car lot and is within walking distance but it is a bit of a walk to the stadium. It is definitely closer than Walmart, and there are shuttles. The cost is $30 and you can drive up and pay. It will not fill up, and is open 6pm Friday through 10am Sunday.

The only better options are only open only to JPC members, but you can always join JPC for $200 per year at 800-213-2239 and purchase a better lot for $105. The minimum level for a better RV lot is $1000 though.

Let me know if you have further questions.
Good Catch

In addition to the Ralph Bolden edit. Sean Robinson (the 4th QB listed) is no longer a QB. He practiced all spring at Linebacker..... Yeah, I'm not lieing. He actually had a good spring too.

<br>I'm with you, and I'm not sure how the details work, but I can assure you d-1 student athletes with supposed full rides receive pell grants. Maybe it's that they have a higher cost of attendance than what a typical full athletic scholarship covers.

They are eligible for aid

But the aid is given based on formulas and additional aid would be against NCAA rules. They can also receive federal financial aid. For instance many student athletes with full rides also receive pell grant money which can be used for whatever they want.

nice thought

but the practice field is Fieldturf. Also, they just got a new Sports Performance (S&C) Director who came from the SF 49ers, and the whole department has been revampt.

I don't know the specifics

I don't know the specifics but Keith missed his second yr due to family issues. He went home for a while and many thought he wouldn't come back. His dad was in the military and they moved around a lot. He was the quarterback at his high school in fort hood, tx. The crazy part was that since military families move a lot his WR's were different every year and you couldn't build any chemistry. Keith is such an awesome person. I have had the pleasure of speaking with him on many occasions. He was voted by all Big Ten players to represent them and speak on their behalf at the Big Ten Kickoff event in Chicago before the season. Its a shame that scumbags like Cam Newton do what they do, and many other (non quality human beings) get 6th years every year and a good guy like Keith get shafted. Oh and by the way... since the NCAA waited so long to decide he hasn't been able to have contact with any agents or work out like many other prospect did. He will still get a chance at the next level, but this didn't help. He did get to go to the combine, but was limited from certain activities in terms of contact with certain people, due to this status. A real shame... Best of luck to Keith Smith. He will graduate in May and has aspirations of doing forensics and working for the FBI.

Ackerman is only for John Purdue Club Members

You must have a parking pass from the John Purdue Club to park on the golf course. Or you must buy one from a JPC member. There is no public parking on Ackerman

We have been having a couple

We have been having a couple problems with the online $10 tickets. They should be working though. Call us at 1-800-49-Sport if anyone has problems.

I work in the Purdue ATO

If you go to Purduesports.com tickets page------> http://ev9.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ExecMacro/evenue/ev69/se/DisplayPromoList.d2w/report?linkID=purdue&RSRC=&RDAT=&caller=PR

Then type in MISEZ for the promotion code you get those $20 endzone seats for $10

If you don't want endzone seats we still have $56 tickets between the 35 yardlines on the east side of the stadium. They are pretty great seats. Not sure if these are available online but you can call the ticket office to request them at 1-800-49-SPORT

We still have 15,000 tickets left.... so its safe to say no sell out. Please don't buy from scalpers we had an issue with over 25 tickets being sold near the stadium last saturday that were void. The guy was ripping people off left and right. Best part is he was selling them for more than the ticket office was and they were worse seats!

Let me know if you have any questions. I always love to help out my fellow Michigan Fans.

Purdue v. OSU '09

For me it was last years Purdue - OSU game where Purdue beat then #7 OSU. We rushed the field and it was pretty amazing. Always great to see OSU get beat, but especially when they bring so many fans to West Lafiesta and they act like they own the place with all the red and O-H-I-O chants.

Keith Smith

He is THE nicest, down to earth football players I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I wish you all could meet this kid. He is just an absolute class act. He also was voted by Big Ten football players to represent the players at the Big Ten Football Kickoff Dinner in Chicago. He has not had the easiest life in the world. His dad is (or was) in the military and its really a shame for this to happen on a day where Purdue honored those who have served our country. God bless Keith and I pray for a quick recovery.

not so sure

from what I know from talking to a big ten admissions director who is a good family friend and worked in the admissions office at michigan for many years. The admissions office have no info/say/screening until they are sent the applications. This is bacause they do not have transcripts and scores. She often laughs when I talk to her about great players who have committed to play at schools and says "Hmm havent seen that kids app yet" as far as I know there is no "screening" or "letters of intent" passed through the admissions office at UofM.

Tickets

Yes We..cough.. they Still have a ton of tickets and always will. We won't sell out any games this year. And if you talk to a fellow um fan who may or may not work in the Ticket Office. He may/may not be able to get you some seats that are not in the endzone. Come down and get my back when I'm one of the few students wearing maize+blue in the student section. It would be great to see UM represent as good as those people from that state east of indiana have the last few years

For the record it was Joe

For the record it was Joe Tiller that made the snake oil salesman comment, not Hope. Also As much as I though Hope was immature for what he did after last years game. I don't think Hope has anger issues just ask his players. He is a really passionate guy though from my expiriences with him. I still hope Michigan beats down Purdue though.

One Critique

As Purdue Student I can honestly say Purdue's OLS program is probably the biggest joke of a major in the history of any university. However, Management is actually Business Administration at Purdue and is in our Business School (Krannert School of Management) and is a quality program and is just as good as accounting here. While Krannert is not nearly as good as Ross or some other business schools it is a Top 25 US program depending on your publication of choice.

EDIT: Also Education (aka Kerrigan's Math Education is a joke at Purdue so you can knock that down a couple notches)

Embelishment Penalty

How bout they put an embelishment penalty in Soccer. (or enforce the rule I believe is already there) Its more needed in soccer than hockey thats for sure.

credit card

Checked with my coworker and his credit card has so far not been comprimised haha (he bought from them a month ago). And yes the Michigan Jerseys do look "off" and I know for sure an authentic Woodson jersey would have the swoosh on the shoulder not under the collar, but for $17 her what the heck if you want the names on the back.

Extremely cheap Jerseys

Ok this website sells jerseys for $17. so a coworker of mine bought a Drew Brees jersey from this site for $17 to get it autographed. We were extremely skeptical because its a chinese website but The jersey looked exactly like a real authentic with the NFL and reebok logos on it. So they have a Braylon and Woodson Jersey. The proportions look like they may be a little off, but the Brees one was unbelievable we looked over it with a good eye, but it was LEGIT. Also the shipping is not anymore than an american company. The english seems a little off on the site. But I'm telling you I was shocked with the quality of the Jersey. Anyway just my input good luck with your search.

Shipping Delayed!

I took advantage of the Dell deal as well and got an email today informing me that my ship date has been delayed and that I won't recieve the game until the 23rd! The latest I have ever recieved NCAA by far. I know im being dramatic, but dang that stinks considering the whole reason for pre-ordering it is to get it the day it comes out.

As far as EA goes, I have pre-ordered through them and I usually recieved it on the release day.

My point exactly

I stopped reading when I saw that

I know I'm responding late to this post but...

I actually happen to be a student worker in the Athletic Department at one of these schools (Purdue). So I can only answer for Purdue, but the answer to your question is yes. Purdue's Athletic Department does not use work study. I qualified all 3 years so far and the dept has rejected the use of it and has just employed me as a regular worker. I was shocked at first because they could just get something like half my wage paid by the government (if I understand correctly), but I believe the bragging rights to say they recieve absolutly no money from the university is perhaps their rational, and possibly it may mean more work and burocracy for the accountants and payroll people to deal with. So no it is not due to interpretation of reporting. Hope this helps. In case anyone cares I work in the Athletic Ticket Office (Anyone need GOOD tickets???? haha)

So... The actual location of the 107,501th seat in the big house is on the moon... Solved.
Have you ever paid attention to him while he is on the ice? First off he whines non stop on the ice. Also He was voted the player who complains the most by NHL players. (see link: http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?page=0809playersurvey) That is why people don't like him... or at least me and at least 52% of NHL players.
