|2 weeks 2 days ago||urban meyer wasn't even off||
urban meyer wasn't even off the field yet today and was talking about the rivalry game next week. they're going to be fired up and looking to make a statement.
while it would only be right, proper, and good for his first loss as osu coach to come against michigan, they get to prepare to pummel us while our offensive coaching staff is still trying to figure out how to make the ball move forward.
|2 weeks 2 days ago||what?||
and ruin him too?

hard to believe 4/14 was a better 3rd down conversion rate than the winning team's

Larry David was Steinbrenner on Seinfeld.

|3 weeks 2 days ago||NO NO NO||
would much rather see DG back next year with proper QB coaching, and an effective offensive plan.
we've seen the flashes of what a DG led offense could be, but not the coaching to develop it.

he's free to have his opinion, and he could wish physical harm on somebody if that's his bent. stupid fans say stupid shit all the time -- it's not like it hasn't happened here. BUT, if he's being paid for football analysis or reporting by some entity with any interest at all in sportsmanship and fair play, yes, he should be fired.
even if his 'work' is for the sparty market, it can't be in the interest of whoever pays him for this 'expertise' to continue to do so after he has called for doing deliberate physical harm to players.
|13 weeks 1 day ago||whoever this assclown is||
if he's getting paid in any way for football opinions or reporting, it should be terminated. period.
even if he's just some anonymous messagboard wannabe tough guy, there's no place for that kind of bushleague shit.

those same cal fans weren't so vocal when their team was doing the same thing against oregon.

readily available on flickr for each image. e.g., this one (taken with a Nikon D7100 body and AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/2.8G ED VR II lens; focal lenght at 155mm, exposure 1/1000s at f2.8, etc.)
lots of information gets shared with pictures online -- just ask John McAfee.
|14 weeks 2 days ago||it's not so bad||
Granted, the level of competition wasn't great, but IU scored 70+. With that many possessions in the game, giving up 35 isn't horrible (more than doubled them up anyway).
Also, MN won their game pretty handily after a shakey start. Purdue and Illinois are the new IU and Minnesota.
I think the B1G is going to be pretty interesting this year, and I like our chances.
Looking forward to seeing how Nebraska and Northwestern look tonight.
|14 weeks 2 days ago||it's bidness||
the pats picked up a good punter in this year's draft for about 1/4 of what they were paying mesko.
the emperor is not done though -- he'll be kicking soon in some other space.
|19 weeks 6 days ago||another good reason||
to include that last clip... Madden & Summerall.
"when you have a guy like Carter, you can throw into double coverage"
|28 weeks 6 days ago||yeah, nothing wrong with the duderstadt||
he was a leader in implementing some pretty significant policies with impact well beyond michigan. point was he was somebody who lived in ann arbor and reported to work every day at u-m; and although compelling, wasn't exactly the headline fodder that the commencement-speaker arms race seems to demand.
|28 weeks 6 days ago||i had no idea||
who spoke at my commencement, so i googled it.
turns out it was james duderstadt -- president of the university. i guess they couldn't even get anyone to come speak. maybe that's why i didn't bother going, though i don't really remember.
|29 weeks 17 hours ago||couldn't upvote this anymore||
but feel compelled to register my agreement with this.
That anticipation, excitement and tension before kickoff, or at crucial moments in the game, is a beautiful thing that shouldn't have to compete with, and definitely doesn't need to be "augmented" by, some idiot at the controls of a big-ass PA system. The grandiosity of the event, captured so effectively by Keith Jackson, is cheapened by all that gimmicky crap.
But, the main thing to be taken from that video is just how great it was to have Keith Jackson in the booth, and how much he is missed on fall Saturdays.
|33 weeks 1 day ago||ha, was just going to post that||
that's how an emmy-winning veteran news anchor does it.
