I've gotta believe the coaching staff will play the best player at QB. Giving in to egos is just asking for locker room problems.

Correct, thank you for the clarifications.

Halifax was the largest man-made explosion to date. I wonder how this compares. Probably not even close, which boggles the mind.

Looking at Google maps, the port of Tianjin is far away from the city center and most major residential areas in Tianjin. Considering that it occurred at 11:30pm, most workers were probably away, which should, hopefully, keep the death toll down. Obviously, the explosion was so big that it looks like it did effect residential areas, but most of the area immediately around ground zero was likely industrial.

I am grasping exactly what you're talking about.
UNLV is selling for $40 on stubhub, that's 27.3% less than face value.
Rutgers is selling for $43 on stubhub, that's 33.8% less than face value.
BYU is selling for $70 on stubhub, that's 12.5% less than face value.
The BYU game is almost sold out. There's only single tickets in all sections but 2. The pricing is fine. You are grasping at straws.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||How do you know the AD is not||
How do you know the AD is not unloading those tickets on corporate sponsers? You don't. That's why stubhub/TixIQ/etc pricing is more relevant.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||A few thousand seats left in||
A few thousand seats left in August is nothing. As long as they look decent, it will sellout.
The BYU game is selling for 75% more than the UNLV game on stubhub. The minimum BYU ticket price on stubhub is $70, which is barely undercutting the $80 box office price. Good sign it will sellout.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||The BYU game is not||
The BYU game is not overpriced. It is selling for about as much as the Northwestern game on stubhub, and significantly more than the UNLV game. The OP is overlooking the Go Blue ticket package, which put the UNLV game in a tier with 1 other game, while the BYU game was in a tier with 2 other games (meaning the UNLV game was more likely to be included in a purchased ticket package). Plus, they have a family ticket promotion for the UNLV game, which probably generates a few additional sales as well.
The sideline vs end zone pricing. Doesn't really matter. Almost all sideline seats are sold as season tickets. Plus, what's the difference in the cost of the seat license? 100s or 1000s of dollars.
Really, when you sellout 90+% of the stadium, individual game pricing doesn't really matter, the total cost of season tickets does.

IMO, most of it has to do with the rules, not the refs. In college, DBs are allowed to chuck receivers as long as the ball is not being thrown to the receiver. This makes it a more difficult to determine if a penalty has occurred than in the NFL where pretty much any contact past 5 yards = flag.
|3 weeks 1 day ago||Exactly (except the part||
Exactly (except the part about wanting Dantonio to coach here)!
If our coaches are not taking advantage of the rules, then they're not doing it right. Fortunately, it sounds like we want our DBs to play more aggressive, and in fairness this started with Hoke last year, but we didn't have the right personnel to pull it off, I guess.
|4 weeks 1 day ago||This year, timing is probably||
This year, timing is probably more important than who you buy from. If Michigan looks like crap and loses their first game or 2, then tickets are going to plummet. If they look great and are undefeated, then you can add another 20-50% to current stubhub prices.
Considering you're buying for 4+, I'd just get the tickets off stubhub now so you don't have to worry about shopping for tickets the day of the game.

Do you sense any of this has changed since Nadella took over? For example, I know their Phone & Devices (zune, surface, WP OS, etc) divisions, have been consoladated into a single division. Also their stack ranking benchmarks (google it) have supposively been eliminated, which should help improve their culture, though cultural changes can take awhile. I think Amazon still uses stack ranking, and hear even worse things about their corporate culture (everyone hates working there).

Supposedly, they plan on doing continual updates (ie, you won't have to wait for SP1 6 months from now), so hopefully any remaining major bugs gets quickly ironed out.

I've never owned a Mac, but I think a lot of Windows folks tend to focus on the specs and ignore that customer satisfaction is almost universally much higher among Macbook owners than even most modern PC ultrabooks (with, perhaps, a few exceptions). Performance is still very good on Macbooks, even relative to high-end ultrabooks. Obviously, they make you pay a premium to live in the Apple ecosystem, but most Apple customers seem to be very happy to live in that ecosystem.

It's interesting that Harbaugh gave all 5th year's the opportunity to audition in the spring, as opposed to telling some of them they would not be given a 5th year scholarship before NLI signing day. I suppose the result was more or less the same as dropping some guys individually.

Yup, my bro had like a 3.99 and 35 ACT, and was either denied admission to UNC or put on their wait list (can't remember exactly). This was back in 1995ish. Pretty sure he was going UM regardless though.

I'm pretty sure head-to-head was the 1st tiebreaker back then, but Wisconsin and OSU tied at Camp Randall that year (thanks to OSU blocking a last second FG attempt...shakes fist..was Wisconsin fan growing up).

This is just part of what we get with Harbaugh. He's going to be an unreasonable dick sometimes, though I don't particularly care if he's only an ass to the Cowherd's of the world.

It's mentioned in one of the ESPN articles that the UM docs diagnosed Pipkins with arthritis in his knee. That's kinda a key point that makes it much more difficult to paint Harbaugh in a bad light.

I like Zingerman's Roadhouse, but they bury their brisket in sauce. It's more like braised brisket, instead of BBQ (though they do smoke it for hours).

Satchel's is decent, but their brisket is often dry. Blue Tractor is mediocre. There's a place in Saline that has great Yelp reviews, but I've never tried it (Saline Downtown Diner).
Driving to Detroit for Slow's might be your best option if you want really good brisket.

I did a cursory check before posting. If it was, it was buried under a different Hackett/Regent post, and this deserves a separate thread anyway. I was surprised it hadn't been posted already, so I'm not surprised if it's been discussed in a separate thread.

|11 weeks 6 days ago||I don't see where he said||
I don't see where he said that Harbaugh setup the camp for the benefit of a single player, but he is trying WAY too hard. Few Michigan fans will deny that Harbaugh is primarily doing these camps to scout players and connect with recruits, but there is a teaching element to the camps that is beneficial to the players. And they're being pretty transparent about their motives when they brand the Ann Arbor camp as "Exposure U".
But I guess since these camps benefit Michigan's recruiting, they're pure evil. That's some solid logic.
