AT&T land-line service. Their work crews cut my service unintentionally more than once while screwing around with the box at the end of the street, and it was unholy hell to ever get AT&T off their asses to ever fix what they had messed up. It always took a minimum of 10 days to get service restored after they fucked it up, and they stonewalled the whole way. I got rid of them, but I probably have to look forward to seeing them in Hell.

First of all, objectifies the person you are referring to as a "catch," making them sound like a particularly large tuna you caught on a fishing trip.
Second of all, implies that you "caught" more than you really deserve to have, which implies that, unless you keep them drugged and tied up in the basement, you are likely to lose them, or at least find them all eaten up by the time you drag them back to harbor tied to the side of the boat because they are too big to haul into the boat.
Furthermore, I don't understand why ending a marriage at age 22 is worse than ending one at 23, 24 . . . , 109, 110, or whatever other age 50% or more of marriages end in the US. And I really don't care what they do, and I certainly don't consider myself better than they are.
Perhaps this argument is about whether people who remain entangled in a horrible marriage that they are capable of leaving should get a medal for refusing to admit they fucked up. I think they deserve a divorce just like anyone else. Or maybe those happily married folk deserve a medal for lucking out. In this case, certainly virtue is its own reward.
I only really responded to see how narrow the box will get. Anybody know where to go to discuss the NCAA commitment/recruitment system?
|8 weeks 4 days ago||If this||
is what the NCAA does when it's not scheming to deny medical care to people seriously injured while playing revenue sports, it's time to put it out of everyone else's misery.

Zyzzyballubah was the name of the terrifying levitating fireball head thing from Wizard of Oz.
He actually seems pretty mellow when you get close to him. Intimidating visitors to the Wizard of Oz must have been a shitty job for him.

a hole in the ground where you have fires?
How do you steal a firepit?
|11 weeks 4 days ago||Well, if it helps,||
there's also that "eye of the needle" quotation.
Some folks have tried to grapple with it, BTW, as follows:
Others cite OT passages to suggest a simple case of Hebrew/Aramaic hyperbole. More on this: http://www.biblicalhebrew.com/nt/camelneedle.htm .
|11 weeks 4 days ago||"The fact that||
This is if, by "this," you mean the social biases and parochial interests of the school.
Or maybe you think the troublemakers and busybodies should have left PSU to sort out Jerry Sandusky on its own. After all, the school is always right.
|14 weeks 2 days ago||Now that you bring it up,||
Hand didn't commit to OSU.
Maybe we can get Jordan Morgan to talk to recruits about the UM engineering dept.
|14 weeks 3 days ago||Better||
fake and only relative than a totalitarian mandate of fakeness.
Or do you believe might makes right?
|15 weeks 1 day ago||FWIW,||
I'm pretty certain this is not "OT."
This is cherry-picking, but I think Hoke is down a point in the soundbite wars with our southern rivals, to wit:
If there exists a level of program-building that goes beyond recruiting and developing players and waiting for them to mature, ie, building relationships with the fan base, it could well be that the bad guys are doing this better than ours are.

April Fools', wasn't it? I'm still not sure if that was for real.
Also, while we're early in the usage development cycle, I'm wondering if the gerund "apostrophe-s'ing" shouldn't actually be spelled ""'s"-ing." (The Chicago style use of quotation marks makes that more confusing than I thought it would be. I'm also wondering, should a literal including double quotation marks be inside single quotation marks or doubles?)
|15 weeks 4 days ago||This also from the article:||
So who knows what to believe.
|15 weeks 4 days ago||"Whitlock:||
I get a déjà vu feeling seeing this. IF this is true, there is an earlier similar.
When Hoke came here in '11, part of his narrative was the lesson he learned from the first two losses of the '98 season to the returning '97 1/2 MNC team. He said this was on him, because he had taken the '97 success for granted, and neglected DL basics. From what I think is a more recent source (
This story is nothing new; he made no bones about it when he came here in '11. The disarming honesty was a part of his charm.
I'm no hater; if his UM team kicks ass in 2014, none will be happier than I. In Hoke we Hope; In Nuss we Trus'.
|15 weeks 4 days ago||I thought||
the maligned D of '10 was made to look worse by problems on O -- turnovers in the wrong red zone, scoring droughts, etc.
|15 weeks 5 days ago||It's all about punctuation.||
Saban actually said
|15 weeks 5 days ago||So||
they're talking about their home schedule.
Edit: I wouldn't capitalize "Tide" in that quotation after 2012.
|15 weeks 5 days ago||"Their country . . .||
I think they are 40 years behind the Oakland Raiders, if Vera Cruz is any indication.

Tijuana makes more sense.

|15 weeks 5 days ago||"cross-marketing"||
You mean "cross-dress marketing."
|15 weeks 5 days ago||This will help||
with recruiting in Arabia.
When's the last time anybody played Toronto?
|15 weeks 5 days ago||This is Michigan.||
We don't get sad.
We get fatalistic.
|15 weeks 5 days ago||Is that||
supposed to cheer me up?
|15 weeks 5 days ago||Just what . . .|
|15 weeks 5 days ago||"At least||
we're beating ND most years, even though, over-all, we're doing worse than they are."
Doesn't work as a sound-bite. Damn nuance.
|15 weeks 5 days ago||"This century."||
Now you're being theatrical.
"This century," ie, since 1914, UM has been in and out of the Western Conference (aka b1g), built the largest stadium in CFB, invented the iconic winged helmet, and opened a huge lead in the all-time series v. OSU, Michigan Agricultural (aka MSU) and ND, while our biggest rival, U-Chichago, has vanished. All this while weathering a much bigger funk v. MSU from ca. 1951-1969.
If "this century" is bumming you, consider a switch to the Mosaic Calendar.
|15 weeks 5 days ago||I was||
a pep-band scab (UM dragooned the pep band from Ga. State University for the first weekend at the OMNI in Atlanta) for UM that year. My first Dead concert was 6-20-92 at RFK. Even spread out over 3 years, that was a special run of goodness.
I think you should drop the "OT"; this sounds very "T" to me.
|15 weeks 6 days ago||Haven't seen this clip||
I was going to respond with an imbed of a 50-second YouTube football clip from the 1970 film MASH, but it "contains content from FOX, who has blocked it on copyright grounds."
|15 weeks 6 days ago||Got me to looking||
and M came in at #44 last year. 2006 M was #7, and 2007 M was #21 while Florida was #10 after getting pushed around in the Cap-One Bowl. This makes me somewhat dubious of the Sagarin ranking.
Hopefully there is a Nuss effect and we don't go back to biting fingernails when playing supposed tomato cans.
