Thank you for sharing! It is awesome to see how well they are both doing.

Their customer service is terrible, and they treat all of their customers like crap. No wonder so many people are moving away from cable companies.
|1 week 5 days ago||NFL Scouts do this every year||
It's why so many players go to train for the combine rather than training to get better. A great 40 or shuttle time can be worth more than your game film or a great week at the senior bowl. It sucks to see a guy who did so much for the team fall like this, but I think it will allow him to end up with a team who knows how to deploy his skillset, which will lead to bigger paydays down the line.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||As a big soccer fan||
I moved from Portland to Orlando this past summer, so I have seen both sides of the coin with the respective teams. Timbers games are some of the most fun sporting events that I have ever been to. Smoke isn't excessive (after Timbers goals), chants and songs are original to the US, and it is an all around great amosphere whether you are 5, 25, or 55 years old. Orlando on the other hand couldn't be any more boring. The supports section is large, but no one knows the chants or the songs, and the few that people know are recycled from the USMNT. It just doesn't feel authentic, which is what any new team needs to thrive. I have also heard horror stories from teams/supporters (DC and San Jose) where the MLS has completely removed what makes the sport fun from the stands so that only families will come.
I would love to see the passion that is reflected in the other Detroit teams come out for the new MLS team so that I have a good excuse to fly up for a game.
|2 weeks 6 days ago||DCFC||
From what I have heard, DCFC wants nothing to do with the team if they aren't included in all of the planning as well as able to bring their style of fandom (smoke, swearing, etc.) with them. They view the Detroit MLS team as a "corporate team" rather than what they have built from the ground up. If Gilbert and Gores can strike a balance between the "coporate" structure that the MLS wants with the "grassroots" fandom of the DCFC, they could have an extremely successful team in the city. In my head, I see it being much like the Portland Timbers.

From someone like Steve Lorenz, I would say yes because he is so well connected. Seems to be very accurate with his predictions as well.

De'Veon was the top story on SI this morning.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||That's pretty awesome drjaws!||
Do you know when it is supposed to be launched?
|3 weeks 4 days ago||I understand what you're getting at but||
They have the most players in the NFL (43), and if you took the time to look at it, I would bet 80% of them are black. These kids care about getting to the NFL, and Alabama is currently the best chance at getting there. The racial climate of the state clearly doesn't weigh into their opinion very much, if it all.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Must be the bagmen.||
It has nothing to do with being in the national championsip four out of the past eight seasons, or almost their entire defense being drafted every single year.
If you are a top player in the country, why would you not want to go to Alabama? There is a good chance that you will win at least a national title as well as achieve your dream of making it to the NFL (especially as a defensive player)
|3 weeks 5 days ago||UFA||
I believe he will be an UFA after this season is over. And with how he performed, he will be looking for one last payday, and we know how Bill feels about players like that. I would love to see Tom and De'Veon for a year or two.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Guys like LeGarrette Blount||
Guys like LeGarrette Blount and Jonathan Stewart have made pretty good careers out of being the change of pace back who is tough to bring down. If the right team drafts him, he could be in the league for years to come.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Harbaugh||
At the end of the day, Harbaugh makes for a great headline. People are going to attach his name to anything and everything that they can. Folks like Greenstein, Finebaum, etc. cannot keep him out of the news because of the attention that he will bring to any situation. The examples above show teams such as Arizona, Miami, Tennessee, and FSU, which rarely make a ripple in the national landscape. Coaches like Saban and Harbaugh make national news for any comment that they make.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||Agreed 100%||
I think it got blown out of proportion because "HARBAUGH" and he won't make this mistake in the future. As long as that is the case, it is water under the bridge to me.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||High School Coach||
I think it is his job to be protective of his kids first and foremost. Recruiting is a cut throat business, and 18 year olds do not always think/see clearly. I respect that he is still upset about how his player was treated. If he was a coach of my son, that is how I would expect him to act. Same as how Cass Tech shouldn't let Ohio State back into their school after what they did with Weber's RB coach.
|3 weeks 6 days ago||I think it cleared it all up||
Both sides had what they thought to be the situation and their intentions on the table for each other to see, and they failed to communicate it to each other. Swenson thought he was all set, probably knew he wasn't performing well and relied on his four star ranking to keep the offer on the table. Harbaugh expected him to continue to earn his place, which he clearly failed to do. There will always be a difference of opinion on who was truly at fault, and the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
I am glad that Harbaugh reached out to give his side, and as a grown man making upwards of 9 million diollars a year, I hope that he takes the lead in communication growing forward. I can accept that it is a one time mistake from him as long as it doesn't happen moving forward.
|4 weeks 1 day ago||Just to compare the two on the 247 composite||
Metellus was ranked 745th in the composite, and the 49th best safety.
Melifonwu is ranked 1809th in the composite, and the 137th best safety.

|6 weeks 1 day ago||Willie Taggart||
Last year was the first time that I watched the coaches, and I loved watching Willie Taggart. I didn't know until after that he was a Harbaugh guy, but it is easy to see why they loved him. I am hoping that there is a coach that sticks out like he did.

They did bring JJ Watt and Antonio Brown to CMU.. there would be worse choices.
|11 weeks 2 days ago||Clemson-Washington||
With both Clemson and Washington winning conference titles, Michigan was not going to jump either. It makes no difference to be ranked 5th, 6th, or 7th right now. Orange Bowl will take us and we will get FSU or Louisville.
