Am I the only one who actually believes the offense could be good as well? The depth at RB is insane, would argue the best TE in the conference if not the country, and plenty of guys on the OLINE who likely would have started on most other teams last year. Michigan can and will run the ball and we have seen how willing Moore is to stick to that. Keep the defense fresh and control the ball, don’t turn it. Most defenses aren’t built to hold up to 30-50 runs per per game with the assortment of heavy packages we will be utilizing.

Can't help but notice that the state of Texas has been a challenging for Harbaugh so far (Elliot, Daniels, Raulerson). I'm sure it's only a matter of time before enthusiasm unknown to mankind pays off down there.
I couldn't agree more. In a year where the number crunch is tight to begin with, I was scratching my head that we were pursuing a scholarship kicker at all (or any year). If it meant releasing a proven 5th year starter or experienced back up then I would be totally against it.
Once again, what does it matter to you if he's worth the money or not? I don't understand why baseball fans even care what owners spend on players these days, no cap no worries. If he wants to pay a luxary tax more power to him. And the so called overated numbers came at one of the most pitcher friendly parks in baseball. There is at least legitimacy in that and not to mention he ranked 44th in offensive WAR in all of baseball last year putting him in the top 16% of hitters in baseball. Agree to disagree.
They are a better team not because they made a splash signing, but because they now have a long term solution at a position that was a glaring hole as of an hour ago. Upton has been consistently solid the last 3 years offensively and will be working in one of the stronger offensive lineups in baseball. A weakness became a strength instantly and there is no reason not to be excited about this. When you don't have a farm you fill holes via free agency plain and simple and Illich has no problem doing just that. It's his money, not mine so I could care less how much he spends, just put the best product out on the field.
Aside from Zimmerman, and a few veteran additions to the bulpen, I think they needed to make a splash signing to generate some excitement. This fills a huge hole and I agree that his game is a great fit for Comerica. Definitely more excited for the Tigers now than I was 15 minutes ago.
