I thought there would be more creativity myself....funky sets, 2 QB's lining up and totally juking everyone out of their jocks, etc.  I loved me some RR (no homo), but I was surprised that after 3 years the offense never really evolved.  Sure it got better/more efficient, but still kinda stale at the same time.   I groaned every time I saw that zone read get blown up.

Horrific accidents can happen anywhere at any time for any reason. Remember 3? The tracks and the cars themselves are becoming safer, which I'd great, but for God sakes it's racin'. I would think that any driver at any level understands the risk involved going 180mph 3 inches from the next guy. I've subbed a few times as an usher this year and when I was in section 1 for the Indiana game, the WC sherriff came by and we asked about them being snipers (first game there was a "no bag" policy) and he told us that they do not have rifles up there. While they are definately keeping an eye in things, they aren't 'snipers'

...but I really think we have a great shot to win this game. I'm a realist by nature and maybe it's my hate for tUOOS coming through but I say we shock a lot of people this weekend. If we see new schemes and packages for these fucks, we may just be able to overcome our deficiencies on D. We can put up points in a hurry and that seems to be forgotten in the whole "our D sucks and RR needs to fired" world.

On that note, i do believe in RR. He was hailed as an offensive guru coming in, and I see that silver lining beginning to form. As soon as we can establish some consistency and continuity on defense, we will be Ninja Fooball. I can't help but to remember that when RR was hired, there was a ton of 'peanut butter jelly' dancin going on. When he gets this ship righted, I hope doubters and haters remember the venom they have spewed and sit idly by while we celebrate our championships.

There was one called in the sparty game earlier tonight. called on minn after a pick if I'm not mistaken.

He had to improve from last year and he could bring some stability and consistency to the offense. Tate can't stay in the pocket to save himself and this alone can disrupt any "flow", especially when it's so often. Don't get me wrong, I love the kid but I wouldn't be opposed to a bit more poise behind center.

Has got it right. Streets are closed, vendors all over, stage with a band, etc. ILL puts on a great tailgate. Indiana wasn't bad either - more laid back, but very cool.

Tate isn't comfortable in the pocket at all. If his primary receiver isnt open, he instantsly rolls out of the pocket amd looks to throw on the run. I may be dead wrong, but IMO if you're on the run, its not as easy to find the deep man breaking free (much less make the throw), and his easier read is to the short/midrange option. Not that this is a bad thing, as the he can obviously do it and do it well. The bombs they be a'comin -just give him a year or two.

While I too miss the quality of Brian's posts, and I can't say I'm a fan of the tyranny that is the WLA (kidding guys...chill...) we have had some great guest posts that were informative and well written. The Mgosnobs that constantly bitch about our beloved Brian taking some time off need to realize that he didn't leave us hanging without our daily fix of material. I for one appreciate the guest bloggers and have found a new appreciation for more than one of them - as I'm sure was Brian's intent.
