Rivals

Rivals said he told them he would commit once his transcripts went through, but they did not "go through."  I don't remember any information one way or the other on if he would actually be accepted from Rivals.  Quick search turned up nothing.

Yikes

Yikes, I hit submit, but it wouldn't go thru.  Obviously it did.

I haven't posted in a while, guess I got nervous!  lol

we were winning

We were winning when JT got hurt.  So, theoretically their bad QB didn't beat us.

Oklahoma/TCU

More likely OU or TCU is undefeated.  If so, no B1G team.  I don't see that happening unless OSU wins the B1G and has 1 or 2 losses.

Curious

Curious, so you are thinking that if Georgia is undefeated and beats an undefeated Bama team in the SEC championship that both teams are in?

IMHO not a lock, but it depends on the other conferences.  If PAC-12 champ is undefeated and B1G champ is undefeated or one loss (strenght of conference) I doubt it.  They will consider that game a play in and part of the playoffs.  Interesting thought!

Why

Why are you bringing logic into this??

non-field position

The new rule states that they must be hired to a full-time on-field coaching position.  No analyst, recruiting coordinator, etc type positions.  So yes we can hire an IMG or Paramus or Cass Tech coach they just need to coach.

This will probably hurt high school coaches from getting positions like Partridge did and then have that turn into an on-field coach.  I wonder if a HS coach will challenge this rule in courts?

2007

In 2007 #2 KU lost to #4 Mizzou in Arrowhead stadium. I was living in Missouri then and it was a huge game.  That's it though!

Mizzou and KU games when they were in the Big 8 & Big 12 were incredible!  Even if one was bad, mostly Mizzou, you could count on a great game or an upset.

That rivalry goes back to the Civil War due to the rape, pillage, and plunder that went on between the two states.  They still don't really like each other much.  Mizzou leaving for the SEC really killed one of the great bball rivalries.

Fun

It is fun to read a lot of comments without always commenting, IMHO

Trinity River Trinity River, surprised you haven't heard of this major river!
Young Buckeye fan

I was talking with a young lady who is from Ohio and a Buckeye fan (aren't they all).  She said that as long as she can remember we have beaten Michigan nearly every year.  I replied, when I was your age it was the samething for us.  Rivalries turn.  That is the beauty of rivalries.  Go Blue! Beat Ohio!

Rivals

I have been with Rivals for a few years and they have a lot of good information.  My friend has a Scout membership and we compare notes.  Both are very good.  You get good info on MoGoBlog, but it is not all the info.  I have been on hear about the same amount of time.

Rivals has good inside stories on recruits and the current teams.  The Fort board is more active with various threads than this one (good thing and bad thing) and with some really smart well informed members.  There are folks from other schools that post, typically in a respectful way, that let you get a different view.  No site is the beat all, and it depends on if you like the writing of the guys.  Do a trial and spread your wings!

Thank you for the link

Thank you for the link.  Definitely made it easier.

Proche - Thank you for helping this family!  God Bless!

Go Blue!

I thought

I thought the same thing when I saw it.  One point to you sir!

Yesterday Yesterday
Just saw that

Just saw that on another board!  Pulled him from his childhood fav and defending champ, Nova.  Crystal Balls had him 100% Nova too!!

Three 5*

That Cal Supreme team had three 5* kids.  I would say it's top notch competition!

Klay Thompson

From an offensive standpoint I would say a young version of Klay Thompson.  He showed good range, moving without the ball off screens, but not explosive enough on the drive to be like Kyrie.

Competition

The Cal Supreme team he put up these numbers against had a 5* PG Brandon Williams, 5* C/PF Brandon McCoy, & 5* C/PF DeAndre Ayton with offers from Zona, Kentucky, & Kansas (according to the teams web-site).  You can see all 3 of them in the video.  I know it's EYBL & summer ball, but 38 pts, 9 dimes, & 8 rebs is really good.  Throw the stars out the window!  He should get a serious bump when rankings are updated!

I hope we can keep him away from Wisky.  They recently offered and he said it was a "big one"

Houston?

The Oilers left, the Rockets haven't been a consistent winner since the early 90s, the Texans are still trying not to look like an expansion franchise (even though they came into the league in 2002) and the Astros have 6 division titles since 1980, one trip to the WS and were swept by the White Sox, and they play in a "juice box" for god's sake!

FX

I have FX & FXHD on my basic cable.  Probably dependent on your cable provider.

Fortunately for me I get all the listed channels in HD.  Now Frontier needs to improve their pixelization problems with FOX since they bought Verizon in our area!

Big 12

Let's see... the Big 12 currently has 10 teams.  They could expand to 12 or 14, or they could disappear and have zero teams.  Should they also be the Big 10 or change to the Big 14, or maybe even the Little zero!

stayed up to 2 CST I stayed up till 2 am CST watching Midway. I remember staying up late as a kid watching Midway and Torah Tora Tora. Two of my favorites as well as many mentioned above. Please take time to thank the men and women we have lost today for our freedoms.
Good brisket

There are a number of things to do brisket right. I would start with minimal trimming of fat, really only near the gap between the point and the flat, put the fat towards the heat on your smoker, 225-275 for about 8 hrs with consistent heat "if your lookin you ain't cookin", and finally don't let it rest or wrap with foil. let it cool so you can cut it and then serve within 20-30 minutes for best flavor. hope these tips help.

Edit - Forgot an important part.  I have heard mutliple temps to pull the brisket.  I pull in the upper 190s F.  I have heard at 202, 195.  I would suggest you pull when you feel comfortable, but not less than 195 or higher than 202.  Happy Smokin'

Smokin Smoked a brisket and for the first time made pork belly burnt ends for some family to come over. Flags on graves tomorrow and then off to the pony races. Picked up some Rahr & Sons Ugly Pug Black Lager last night. Never had it.
Austin

They do have a denomination.  Haven't you heard the saying "Keep Austin Weird!"  Just hasn't helped them the past few years.

On the table??

I think a number of other ideas could be on the table too, including but not limited to an early signing period, summer official visits, etc.  With the recent change where a parent, guardian, etc can be paid for by the University for an official visit.  Not saying these will all become active, but why not shoot for the moon?

All of these ideas could benefit B1G.  I am sure there are Southern ideas that would be included, but I just can't think of any that wouldn't be restrictive of the "student-athlete".

Open invitation

I agree they were fired up!  Although they offered anyone to come on the show and defend the position.  i would like to see Saban try to defend his grandstanding against the camps and Freeze defend his statement about not doing camps so he could spend more time with his family and sleep in his own bed after a camp.

Just voted

Just voted and now 47% for Michigan & Chad Tough/Beilein and 39% for That Team Down South & Thad/Ronald McDonald.

I agree with WhoopinStick - Great showing by SFA

Flying to Detroit not to be a downer, but I have a funeral in AA tomorrow and rosary tonight. My sister's fiancé who was a Dr at UM. Cancer is a bastard!! We were all at his house in October for the game vs Sparty and he appeared healthy.
Bought a new smoker I bought a Good-One Marshall the other day. Smoked a full chicken last night as the first meat. Today a brisket and a couple of slabs of ribs with 2 different rubs. Have a big BBQ event in April and need to get use to the new pit! Couple of family and friends coming over to be my taste testers.
I always wanted

I always wanted to change my name to a Hawaiian name.  I thought about Comeonawannalaya

wow

Wow!  What a tackle!!

my bad

My bad, I was thinking OUs O was better against Clemson.  Although, Mayfield did throw for 311 yards trying to come from behind.

Tiger D

Man, I am impressed with this Tiger D!  In fact, I am thinking I should be very impressed with OU's offense too!!

Chivas if I remember correctly Chivas followed by some single barrel and then a little Knob Creek with my brother in law as we bbq'd in 35 degree weather! good Saturday night!!
neg 55 points

I don't think I have seen anyone with a -55 points!  It will be 6 months before you get to start a post.....there is a god!!

EMP?

He wants to go to the EMP Music Museum???

Not so fast my friend

I live in Dallas and one of my good friends is an OU grad and tied in, but from what he says you don't have to be tied in to know that OU and OSU are not a package deal anymore.

I agree with you on the Texas statement!

Actually

Actually, Section 6 Article 9b of the NCAA Mens Bball rule book says

"No opponent of the thrower-in shall have any part of his person over the inside plane of the boundary line."

You do not need to make contact, you only need to reach over the line.  At minimum the official should have moved the defender back, even if the play had started, to give the thrower-in space.  With the scoring table/ad board so close to the court the ref needs to give the thrower-in proper space.

Same Boat

I guess you and I were paddling the same boat!  I also thought our running game would be better and didn't think our secondary would be this good!

But I am never wrong, just ask my wife....oh wait...

No No
Are you stalking me?

Sometimes I get confused on what I am suppose to wear.  The good news is that I have a lot to choose from!!

No Miami (ytm) Interesting that Miami(ytm) is not included. I now fully believe location has more to do with his high interest in Georgia than Richt. That isn't a good sign for us but we shall see.
