As someone who has known Meechie for the past few years I want to say thanks to the UOfM community for their class and love. He was an amazing young man with a smile that I will never forget. As someone who works with young men and women daily, we often times take them for granted. Meechie was a great young man and one hell of a football player. I know first hand his love for the wolverines and I truly hope we can bring one home for Meechie this year. I know he will be watching from above. Big Reds are tough as hell and will move forward without big meech. He will not be forgotten anytime soon. Big Red Nation appreciates the support.
Hopefully his son laces up the cleats in his dads honor for the Maize and Blue someday.
I have had pleasure of knowing this young man, he has the best smile of any person I’ve ever met. Sometimes you just have to wonder why? He was a great football player and is a great human being, hoping Michigan medicine can find a miraculous cure for Meechie. To see him on the field today is one of the most rewarding things I’ve seen in my life, he loves the wolverines.
If I ever run into coach Harbaugh again, or if any of you do thank him from the Big Reds of Muskegon.
Who were you thinking didn't play? McGrone has a ACL injury not Covid, I also think Charbonet has an actual injury! I'm not aware of a single player that was positive last week
The scene in remember the Titans when Julius goes to visit Gary in the hospital and the nurse says” Sorry only family”. Gary replies “ Can’t you see he’s family”. I cry every time, that scene is so emotional for me as a former football player.
I totally agree with the testing aspect, I feel that as citizens we should really know what’s out there. All these numbers floating around are simply guessing, as an educated individual I’m not sure how anyone can make these serious decisions based on guesses and what if’s. I’m sure my family will be fine, my wife is an amazing nurse and can care for her son.
