I think the rest factor is a really good point. That should be huge over next week or two.
I also think THJ rebounds to play well down the stretch. He had been lights out recently, and just had a really poor performance.
Between now and MSU return trip, we need to figure out how to defend their post feeds though. Even when Nix / Payne didn't score, they seemed to hurt us with their passing.

Obviously it's really disappointing for both Countess and the team, but I do not believe there is a game on the schedule that changes from a projected win to a loss due to his injury. Plus I have confidence in our coaches to make sure the next man up is put in a position to succeed.
I will say however, that I was leaning towards 10-2 or 9-3, which may now change to 9-3 or 8-4, simply because overall as a team I'm more skeptical based on this performance.

I was actually just arguing with a Sparty friend about this, and technically Rucker was suspended 1 game after his arrest. He then went to court and jail for probation violation, and was in jail / suspended the next game.
Regardless, as I stated earlier you can't compare situations directly like that (in my opinion). That was in the middle of the season, this was a month before the opener.
Yes, it would technically look bad that Rucker served 2 games to Fitz's 0, but they are not apples to apples comparison

Isn't Clark's charge a felony? I would argue that depending on how court proceedings go, he should not be kicked off the team entirely for his home invasion charge.
Certainly depends on what transpires in court from here on out, but the bottom line is no two player discipline situations are equal. We shouldn't paint with a broad brush by saying "no felon", as that would be anyone convicted of a felony, and those are not all created equal.

Wait are you seriously going to the game? Way to rep Team 133 and all, but admittedly this seems strange to me. Considering UM isn't playing, I have to agree you will in fact be the only one repping the maize 'n blue
|1 year 49 weeks ago||That's the biggest thing I||
That's the biggest thing I took away from this - he's owning up to his actions in the past and is poised to have a big year because of his renewed focus.
Agreed with others that the lack of redshirt is disappointing now, but if he can have a good year in '12-'13 we have plenty of young horses coming in who can make a difference after BWC moves on

Fair enough I guess. I was referring more to the "People you seek out are better than those that seek you out" - which I would agree with.
Hollis knows a thing or two about point guards going pro who shouldn't have, am i rite?
I don't know. I fail to see this as a huge deal. He shouldn't have tweeted it but if they saw each other in person he could have said the same thing.

Nice Sparty grammar
In fairness though, previous to Hollis saying that Burke tweeted the following:
Trey Burke @Trey_Burke3
EVERYONE got something to say... smh I thought this was my life!
So admittedly it may be Hollis just giving him advice...and in this case it seems like genuinely good advice

I think Wisconsin will win, but that spread is higher than expected, especially considering Wisconsin is just not that same team away from Camp Randall.
If I had to guess I think the Badgers win by 3-5 point margin

I'm no Sparty, but that "put down" is lousy. Did you have fun last year when we were "exciting" but losing?? Or did you have more fun under Lloyd when we had excellent defenses and a strong running game??
Not to mention their game against Wisconsin this year wasn't exactly boring. Nor are they probably bored as they gear up for the BTCG.
I hope you haven't used that at all - it's embarrassing.

I think Sparty has home and homes with Alabama, WVU, and Miami (FL) over the next few years if I'm not mistaken. I don't know that they really struggle to schedule big names

I'm all for hating on a Sparty, but BJ Cunningham wasn't in a bar fight...
|2 years 45 weeks ago||Can we...||
Can we chant "Dugan's BETTER" clap clap clap-clap-clap when they come to Crisler??
|2 years 45 weeks ago||Shocking||
Consider me shocked that they didn't hand out ANY punishment.
When Arrington got arrested for domestic abuse under Carr didn't he miss multiple games??? I'd love to see a comparison of punishments showing what Spary hands out and what we've handed out in the past so I can rub it in my Sparty friend's faces.
One Sparty tried to compare Stonum and Grady's DUI's to Rucker last year and I had to remind him that Rucker also had a previous charge from their little gang party.
