This useless chatter is exactly why Jim Harbaugh refrains from comparing people, and says it just diminishes people.

Although we have a favorable W/L record against PSU, I would be glad to see them leave the B1G.
Thank you basketball team.

Ten months ago I told him, "Here's my prediction. Alabama is goint to win the National Championship next year. The following year, they're going to lose to Michigan in the National Championship game."
Half way there.

That's a damn boatload of sly insinuation and sneaky invective. That RK doofus must think he/she is just so very clever. Sneaky Buckwad.
We're caling you Stu (Sherlock Holmes) Daco. Thanks for being observant.

If Jim Harbaugh needs any coaching on how to handle this situation better, he can talk with Hackett or his dad Jack.

Saw a guy wearing a "Michigan" t-shirt today in San Clemente, CA.
Asked if it was just a shirt or if he went to school there. Turned out he got his law degree from Michigan.
Oaky, not that far away. But it's always good to share a "Go Blue"with a fellow Wolverine.

We have a great coaching staff. They give our young football players the opportuinity to do their best and have the experience of being winners in a competitive sport.
Having said that: Our coaches need to take the time and make damn sure that there is good, clear communication with the athletes who may not qualify for this level of competition.

he did once tweet, "Oh what a tangeld web we weave, when first we practice to deceive."
I certainly hope and expect these sorts of "awkward" situations will be an anomaly.

If they would pay him more than that measely two and a half million dollars a year, maybe he'd feel more motivated to sink those free throws.

Pushing the envelope in the competitive sport of recruiting, while maintaining high ethical and professional standards, must be challenging. I get the sense that coach Harbaugh has the character and integrity to stay on the right side of what must sometimes be a thin line.
While it may not be as bad as we sometimes imagine, there are bagmen and courtesans and oversigning and lower admission standards all over the college football landscape. Coach Harbaugh is to be commended for attacking this challenge with all the energy, creativity and force of will we could ever expect from our football coach.
While he has to make some tough calls and lay it on the line with our potential recruits, I expect he will treat these young men with respect. As I see it, that's the Michigan way.

It is a matter of record here on MGoBlog that, over two years ago, I clearly stated that I wanted PSU to be kicked out of the Big Ten. That position did not generate much support.
Now that time has passed and we can all benefit from a sense of perspective, I want PSU to be kicked out of the Big Ten.

I supported Brady Hoke well into his decline.
But when he left Shane Morris out on the field hurt and stumbling around, that moment turned all his dull witted rah-rah into a bunch of weak, phony posturing.
Rich Ro riguez (no D) learned there's more than one aspect to a football game at our expense.
Coach Harbaugh does not harbor such glaring weakness. He knows how to win with integrity.
Godspeed Wolverines! Go Blue!
|27 weeks 1 day ago||Coach Harbaugh seemed really animated||
Do you remember those 49er's news conferences, when he spoke in a dull monotone and looked like a reject from the night of the living dead? He sure looks a lot happier now!
I'm happy that he's happy. Having a coach with a winning attitude is something to be happy about.
|28 weeks 1 day ago||Coach Harbaugh||
Coach Harbaugh is doing a tremendous job of recruiting, especially considering the crappy situation he walked in to.
|29 weeks 22 hours ago||Godspeed Ondre Pipkins||
I believe the reason Coach Harbaugh told Ondre Pipkins that he's too banged up to play. football is that he is too banged up to play football.
Nevertheless, the fact is this young man got injured while putting his health and welfare on the line for our Michigan football team. If his decision is a little more emotional than logical, he still deserves respect for his honest effort.

What you pointed out with those pictures indicates a tight Soleus, the inside of the calf. Trigger poinst release and strengthening the Gastronemius and Gluteus Medius could help.
Blake Griffin had a Strength and Conditioning coach who found he had similar biomechanics when he first came into the league, and took corrective measures. Seems like it worked okay for him.
|29 weeks 3 days ago||Greetings MGoStrength||
The way I saw that injury occur, Drake tried to make a sharp cut at high speed and put too much internal lateral force on his knee. The abductors that push the leg out to the side are stronger than the adductors that pull the leg in. What happened to Drake seemed like what happens when you catch an inside edge in skiing.
Gale Sayers used to make cuts like that, and it caught up with him. Barry Sanders and Marshawn Lynch run with a wide stance, and most of their change of direction involved loading the outside of the knee, that is structured for high lateral loads.
Drake has guts, and he runs with abandon. No doubt he's doing a lot of lateral leg movement rehab using therapy bands. I hope he learns to moderate the stress he puts on the inside of his knee.
I had a medial collateral ligament strain in football. Sometimes those things never come back 100%. I had to stop playing racquetball, which inevitably overloads the inside of the knee. Basketball and skiing were still okay.
Godspeed Drake. Comeback strong!
