FWIW, I have heard from a credible source that Real Madrid, Juventus, Man U, and Man City are all playing in the ICC again this year (no FCB), but don't know the other teams or who specifically will be playing at the Big House.

Hey South Bend Wolverine, want to get in touch with you about an article---what's the best way to reach you? Shoot me an email at Fuller@mgoblog if you see this. Thanks!

Thank You

Wow, thank you so much for the support and kind words! Totally agree too, love the all-white!! Go Blue!!

Thank you!! Thank you!!
Thank you so much!! Thank you so much!!

Yeah, that was a cool game, I was at that too---at Northwestern IIRC. Scheyer was really damn good in HS, but they were totally overmatched in that one.

1990's Peoria Manual Rams

The best team(s) I ever saw were the Peoria (IL) Manual teams of the 90's. Manual won the Illinois State Championship in the highest class four straight years from 1994-1997, including a (mythical) National Championship in 1997. Those teams featured Sergio McClain (Mr Basketball in 1997, played at Illinois), Frank Williams [1998 Mr Basketball, played at Illinois, short NBA stint, and (along with Shaun Livingston) was the best point guard I ever saw in High School], and a really good PF in Marcus Griffin (also played at Illinois).

Thank you!!

As someone who only "discovered" Michigan softball late into last season and subsequently got pretty hooked, I appreciate the great overview to get us primed for the upcoming season. Of course I remember players like Romero, but this was a great refresher on Montemarano, Lawrence, Sweet, Wagner, Driesenga, and the newcomers. I am actually one of the MGoBlog photographers and I am already getting excited to cover a game or two this year. Thanks again for the wonderful preview!

I hate to say it, but I am a

I hate to say it, but I am a little bit with Yostbound on this. The Cool is still my all-time favorite rap album (and Food & Liquor is amazing as well) and I still think Lupe puts on the best live show I have seen. Lasers was a bit of a disappointment and I barely listen to F&L 2 at all. He got a little too dark for me. But from what I have heard of T&Y so far, I think this could be a big comeback for him.

That's a photo to submit to a

Thank you so much LJ, I really appreciate the complement! It was really hard to shoot with barely any light and most of my photos during the performance turned out terribly haha, but I was pretty happy with this one!

Photo

Thank you! I often go into the media room to load photos during halftime, but wanted to catch this performance---glad I did, they did a really nice job!

Equipment

Hey Patrick, like Eric said, I use Nikon gear. I primarily use my D610 body with the 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. If I want a little extra distance I may switch it to the D7100 for the extra crop. I also have a 24-70mm f/2.8, but don't use that quite as often for football. You still moving to Wisconsin?

Thank you so much LBSS, we

Thank you so much LBSS, we really appreciate the kind words and support!

Maize

That's a good point, the photos must tint them a little differently, because the maize on the helmet is definitely different than the pants. The helmet is darker, while the pants are definitely brighter. I didn't pay as close of attention to the jersey numbers.

Thanks Patrick, it was great

Thanks Patrick, it was great getting to know you and shoot with you this season, I look forward to seeing all the great work you will continue to do. We need to find a way to share that GoPro video of the GRIII winner at Purdue!

Link

Hmm, not sure what would be causing that, but I'm not very savvy when it comes to this stuff. Here is a link to the gallery, hopefully this will work for you.

It varies by game and It varies by game and opponent. Typically, we get one reserved seat for the game. I will usually try to find an open spot or kneel in the second row for the other half in order to shoot the Michigan end both halves.

Sorry, you might need to try viewing from a desktop, the linked album isn't loading on mobile for some reason.

Funchess

Thank you, that is definitely one of my top 5 I have ever taken! He is a freak athlete. That was definitely the most fun I have had shooting a game since I started with the blog last year.

That was from a video game, right?

I'm thinking he hit RT for a speed burst, a couple LT juke moves, a truck stick, like three straight O spin moves, another truck stick, another speed burst....

Fun day!

It was a lot of fun! It was in the Ann Arbor area, not Florida, so be on the lookout for future events they will be doing. Vincent and Brandin are great guys and it was fun to hear about their experiences at U of M. Most importantly, it is a great thing they are doing back in Pahokee.

And yes, we did get some shots of Vincent pointing his guns at the D...will hopefully post those soon.

Probably about 30 yards back from the gate.

Gate 10, closest to section 38

Right, but once the stadium opens everyone will rush to 31 and 38, the QB lines.

It's so stupid...this is supposed to be "Fan Day" and they are jerking us around.

Wish they would just tell us

In line in my MGoBlog tshirt. Been here since 10, this better be Denard's line. Nobody seems to know.

It makes me laugh

It makes me laugh to think back to us trying to run this offense with Threet and Sheridan two years back. I guess it was important for RichRod to get people started right away getting ready for his system, but it is a joke to think that we tried to run this offense with those guys, especially now that we know what it is capable of.

Tate

I HATE that on the one play that Denard went out, RichRod put in Devin. I am a huge Devin fan, don't get me wrong, but for one play...a handoff at that, why not put Tate in to give him some confidence and keep him competing in practice. Denard has been banged up in both games now and I would sure feel a lot better if we kept Tate in the program and contributing.

Agreed

Agreed, this game never should have been this close. Had we lost, I wouldn't have even blamed the Defense (despite that 95 yard debacle). Our Offense had lots of opportunities and great field position all day and we didn't convert into points. We knew our D would give up some big plays, and they definitely did. But we didn't know that they could make some big plays and create some turnovers.

Another year for RichRod?

My guess is today bought RichRod another year, pretty much regardless of how the rest of the year goes. It is laughable when you think back to him trying to create this offense with Threet and Sheridan when he first arrived. Now that he has shown what he can do with his guys, I think he has proven he belongs in AA. Plus, just wait until some of these young guys on Defense start to figure things out (like not giving up 95 yard td passes). We are scary now and are only going to get scarier!
