My condolences.

Dear Maizen,

I am so sorry to hear the news of you only having two hands.

I hope the prayers I am sending your way can shed some warm light on an otherwise cold and dreary set of circumstances.

Sincerely,
Berk.

Who else did we miss on? Are

Who else did we miss on? Are you talking about the kids out in your neck of the woods. Amon Ra St Brown, Taylor Stuart, and Talanoa Hufunga? Sp? I think u will agree those were all long shots in the first place.

I'm talking about the strategy involved. There were not many early offers out in this class. There were very few 5 stars offered.

On the flip side take a look at all the offers for next year. Who they offered, and when they offered.

We get Petit Frere ( yea, yea, I know), or J Patterson and this class is fine. Main goals were/ are accomplished.

Look to next year my Star Bellied, friends. It's gonna be ok.

Hey Maizen, did you know that Hey Maizen, did you know that Cam Mcgrone was awarded a fifth * by, 247 last week? This class was never going to be a higher rated class as far as stars are concerned, like the last two years. 2019 is where you will most likely see another explosion of star power. This was all to be expected for the most part. Hope that makes things a little better for you. Hope it brings you some happiness.

Just how did that, John

Just how did that, John Coltrane video make its appearance?

Has to be an interesting story.

Impressive that you remember

Impressive that you remember all of this, off the top of your head. :)

I think it's, Coach trying to

I think it's, Coach trying to appease everyone, and change what he has been criticized for in the past.

First time I sensed this was a video that came out after he first got hired here. He was asked something to the effect of, what went wrong in, San Francisco? His response sounded, and looked like he was embarrassed, and self conscience, when he replied, "Well....I guess I just wore out my welcome."

My read on a lot of this stuff is that he is just under a lot of pressure real, imagined,or self imposed , and he is feeling it.

Just my read on it.

This thing is still on track, and he will be good.

I still believe in, Coach Harbaugh. Big time.

No problem with anything you

No problem with anything you said, Mo.

Great first post, and don't be afraid to be negged, in these types of places.

The staff here, and staff, mods, and insiders at other spots get negged all of the time. Much of it comes after they bring good news.

It just comes with the territory. Never take it personally.

Thanks, man. I do appreciate this.

A rare and critical wrong

A rare and critical wrong opinion/statement, made on your part, WD

GOOD GOD, REMEMBER WHERE YOU ARE, MAN!

Ill forget this ever happened, but let's get this thing rolling again, eh?

Now that was very nice.
I

Now that was very nice.

I agree.

Thank you.

There is 247, which has

There is 247, which has merged with Scout. It's now one big, and really neat place.

There is also, Rivals.

Both of these sites are pay to play.

Hope that helps.

Not sure if your being

Not sure if your being serious, but what he said above, is in fact what is being suggested by staff, mods, and proven insiders on another board.

That other board now being basically the only other board. The same board that has Mcguire, and Sosa.

It was also suggested to keep an open mind, still some moving pieces that are not mentioned above. Lots of additions, and subtractions. That's all I'm willing to say.

Actually just popped over to see if you guys were being made aware of the same, smoke signals.

Thanks.

Thank you.

That was awesome. No need to read anymore after the, Bilbo story. There would just be dissapointment.

Its over before it begins. Sparty, can not contend with this.

Yes. Need pet raccoon of my own. Its name shall be, Fizzgig.

Wiltfong.

It was Wiltfong.

He criticized, the offensive line development, and to a slightly lesser extent, the offensive line recruiting. This is no doubt being used by our adversaries in negative recruiting.

Although it is kind of hard to pinpoint what exactly the problem is there, imo, I agree with him to an extent. Whatever it is, something is definitely off. We are unable to land the top tackle prospects, and elite RB's.

I just don't know that it can be placed squarely on the shoulders of one man. What's really maddening, is that this staff has had amazing success in the past. Both as a complete staff, and individually at other stops.

We were much better at run blocking this year, and that truly is something to smile about. :)

TGIF.

TGIF.

Upshaw, is a SDE / 3Tech as well.

I can't decide.

What's better, the name, or the jersey.

Those big ol arms, and buoyant tummy must be great noodling tools.

Jeremy Wade, should sue. ;)

Did we ever actually find out

Did we ever actually find out what happened there, at the end of that one?

Seems like it was swept, and stayed under the rug.

They are gonna love his,

They are gonna love his, "flow," up there.

Thanks, Brian.

Unfortunately this is not the only place this has gone on. There are however, those of us who are fending this stuff off, and defending him like you are. I kind off wish he had not been so hard on himself publicly.

Either way, there are others who are standing with him, and thanking the young man for his service. It has been such a long, and hard road for, John O'Korn.

A Michigan Man, he is.

Love the radar questions.

Loved the response from, Coach Harbaugh. Felt like there was a deeper answer inside the one he gave.

Yes, "just coach the team." Love that approach, just love it.

Classy, and respectfull opening statement as well.

Nice job on all fronts, Coach.

Thursday Recruitin.

Comes on Thursday.

This is Tennessee,

Fergodsakes!

Thank you. :)

Thank you. :)

Nolan Rumler.

Don't forget about him.

No panic here.

A dominant run game!!
DILLY,

A dominant run game!!

DILLY, DILLY!!!

Onwenu also had another pull,

Onwenu also had another pull, where he comes around, and there is no one left to block. That makes 3 by my count, and is a very good thing to see so consistently.

I just get so tickled seeing that, and seeing holes big enough for the portly fella to run through. I can see some handoff's coming very soon. ;)

A+++ run blocking today.

I'd also like to point out

I'd also like to point out that this is the second time on this same play call, that we have seen a pulling, Mike Onwenu come around, (which is just amazing in its own right) and have no one left to block. I mean he may as well be taking the handoff, and why not? :)

Poggi, is just hoarding all the tiny men for himself, and leaving Mike to block any remaining air on the play.

My hero.

Teeth rattling, Stone Cold.

Ace.

I agree with everything you said. Interesting that you mentioned, "lack of trust in the passing game." I thought O'Korn did have enough time on some of his drop-backs, but assumed he was holding onto the ball because nobody was getting open. Sounds like maybe what you meant by lack of trust, was that he could have tried some throws on some of them, but he just did not trust what he was seeing, or his recievers.

I thought it was because of those kids could not gain in any seperation, but will look again, with what I think you were saying in mind.

The one thing that I hope does not happen is anyone from the interior of the OLine being moved anywhere. I feel like those guys are doing good enough, and will continue to get better. I just really believe that continuity is what is best for those kids for this year, and in the long run. If we're going to put Peters in there, may as well get Runyan, or Stubes some run at R.T.

I thought we played hard, and did the best we could. That offensive line whipped us. I thought it really would be the other way around. That is a good team they have.

One to grow from, and our young offense gained some valuable experience.

HAIL.

Trouble spot.

Looks like it is in "trouble."

Looks like that good TE is also in trouble, and will often not be going out to catch passes.

Passes of course, look like they could only be theoretical.

GO BLUE.

EDIT: Upon further review, the addition of a big Samoan man along the defensive front, on some plays could cause major confusion, and toy with their double team selections. I'm thinking their backfield could experience some explosions. Seal those edges, boys!!

Also, Maize pants. :)

JBB!!! :)

Haskins vs Dillon

If you mean he is a bigger kid, who is good at breaking tackles, and being physical, then yes I would agree.

Other than that, I dont see many similarities. Haskins has much better feet, I mean for a bigger kid with a lot of room still to put on mass, his feet are crazy nice. He also has much shorter legs, which also helps with his overall agility, and gives him a lower center of gravity.

I prefer this kid over all if the other options in this class. Please don't let the stars fool you, and those of you who have not watched his film really should.

He is a very good player, with adequite speed, and A++++ athleticism.

Good call.

It was very well blocked.

Always good to see a play that well blocked, still have a free blocker (Kugler) available in the end. :)

My early vote for,"One Frame

My early vote for,"One Frame at a Time," is the delay of game, where you could see Coach saying, Ohh,C'mon John! With the best look of pain and misery we have seen yet.

Haahaaha, funny Ace. That was

Haahaaha, funny Ace. That was a nice catch though by Coach, he really helped his QB out on that one. Those are the kind of catches your supposed to make at this level, and he came up with it.

No complaints from here today. We won,the Run game got going, and now have something to build on.

Go Bule!!

Completely.
If we can get

Completely.

If we can get that Exotic Smash Mouth, and play action going. If we do that I'm complete confidence in the whole offense.

GO BLUE!!!

I'm getting there.

Thanks for pointing that stuff, O.P.

I agree with much of what you said.

HAIL!!!

They were great questions

They were great questions though, very well thought out. Follow up questions, based on his response's were just as good. Just perfect, A+++.

I can imagine that after bullying the media for so long that he does not enjoy being bullied back, but that's where he is.

As far as his job, no way it's it's in jeopardy right now. He has plenty of time to get it fixed, and I believe he will.

GO BLUE!!!

Pro Style.

Worked pretty well at Stanford when Jim was there. It's also working pretty well at Alabama, in case you have not noticed.

It also helps kids that want to turn pro someday.....lol...

^Yup Well done, btw. Don Brown, is a wizard. Don Brown is also human, and all humans make mistakes. This game, with the 3/3/5, with no NT is the first, and only mistake I have seen the man make. Coach Mork, expected it, and almost dared them to run this type of front. He got it, exploited it, and end of story. I don't want Jim Harbaugh fired, I just want Coach Harbaugh to show up,and do what he does best. Coach the team, be more physical than the opponent, win the field position battle, and have better special teams. Like you said above Brian, we have defensive stuff covered, minus Saturday's first half error. We can win a lot of football games playing that way. We just need the current Jim Harbaugh to get out of Coach Harbaugh's way. We do that and maybe some of this other stuff will start to work.
It was faulty coaching. If

It was faulty coaching. If Don Brown didn't call for it, then I apologize, and will again point to the guy who is in charge of it all.

Yea.

Thanks Dennis, hope that's really... you??? Either way, the Seal is cute.

They also busted a 50 yard run, right up the gut on us in the first half.

It's "gut" check time.

Read,

The rest of the thread. I'm calling out the offensive game plan, coaching, and to a lesser extent, Don Brown for running that kind of a front in this game.

It was a major fail by Coach Brown to try a 3/3/5 without a true NT in the first half of this game when MSU scored all 14 of their points. Nowhere have I blamed any of the kids. It's not on them, they were not put in a position to win the game by their coaches.

"You want it to be one way, but it's the other way."

Michigan State scored all 14

Michigan State scored all 14 of their points in the first half under the conditions that our defensive staff provided for them. That front could not disrupt their backfield, or create much pressure on the QB. MSU expected it, and exploited it. They were one step ahead of our staff throughout the game. They out-coached us.

The offense can't score, esp

The offense can't score, esp in the Red Zone, can't stay on schedule consistantly, can't even create enough opportunities for our kicker with the big leg. Can't help win the field position battle with any regularity either.

Like I said, defensive players did a great job. Held them to 14pts. Problem is, we needed 17 to win the game. Your not setting your offense up for success throwing all over in a second half in the rain and wind, which both staffs knew was coming. That approach already failed in the first half with good weather.

Compares.

^^^^^^^Brady Hoke, to Coach Jim Harbaugh when he was at Stanford, and The 49's, running exotic smash mouth, and play action. That is what we need, and he he is fully capable of it.

Like the O.P. said, Jim Harbaugh cannot be found right now, and calls for his job as un-realistic as they may be AT THIS POINT, have started. It has started all over the place. I wanted him here more than anything, and he is FAILING.
