if Mrs. Cook sees this, the very next thought in her mind will be "current?!? you mean there's going to be another one at some point in the future?!?1 Are you planning on leaving me?!?! WHY DONT YOU LOVE ME ANYMORE?!?!"

its about 2 hours to Toledo, another 45 or so to get to As and then another 45 to get to exit 82. I plan my drive time so that I avoid rush hours and the hell that is getting stuck in the herd of people going up north for the weekend on Fridays

admit this but I get from Columbus to Grand Blanc in 3.5 hours

was the worst day of my professional sports fandom. Thanks so much for bringing that up again. Want to kick my dog while you're at it?
I hate you, Jose Mesa. And I still cant forgive Hargrove for bringing on Charlie Nagy in relief. he was the king of letting up runs early in his starts before he settled into a groove. The choice to put him in as a reliever is still inexplicable.

really fired on all cylinders during the meat of the Big Ten schedule and in all the Bowl game we played in
Can we just let it go? Please? Everyone? On both sides?

Their NHL power rankings in the early 90's were awesome but I havent heard of them since then.
Am I the only one who thought this article was going to start off with "John Elway walks into a bar...?"

and the Commish asks the lowest returning member from the previous season to pick a number between 1-12. The commish takes whatever number selected, and runs the random draft order generator that many times, and broadcasts the results of each drawing to each of us via email. Whatever the order is on whatever the prescribed number was (4th drawing, 7th drawing, whatever) is the order we end up with.
It actually works pretty well, insofar as this league is pretty competitive, and over the years loopholes have been exploited and repaired, and people eventually will find fault with every thing under the sun, but no one has any qualms with this system.

drinks are definitely in order...not so much because of the rugrat but because if the other adults at the zoo...I could not believe how many grown ass adults trued to push their way past kids for a better view of the animals. Then again, it was the Columbus zoo, so I guess I should be impressed that they were able to convert oxygen to carbon dioxide.
Columbus jokes aside, its a great zoo as far as zoos go...my Grandma lived at Ten Mile and Coolidge for years so we were regulars at the Detroit Zoo, and its pretty good but Jack Hanna and company have done good work here as well.

there would have been no reaction. Most of the people understood that Lebron had done nothing to string us along this time, and we were all in it at our own risk. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice shame on me sort of thing. now of course, there are always a few knuckleheads, but the majority of fans fell into the hysteria with their eyes wide open. The backlash would have bee no where near 2010.

I'm drinking my standard $15 for 5 liters box wine. Keep hitting refresh on Twitter like a cocaine addled lab monkey because I grew up in Cleveland and I got sucked into this LeBron thing, as much as I tried to resist it. I hate myself

how sorry I am to hear this. My Father died in 1999, 2 weeks shy of his 53rd birthday in much the same fashion. I was at work one day and I got a call and it was already over. Still hurts. My heart goes out to you and your family. Remember the good times, and pass his lessons on to your children.

Adidas is hot garbage. My wife just bought me a pairf of climalite mesh shorts, and they have holes in them after getting washed one time. last adidas shirt I bought started coming apart at the seams after only a couple of rounds of golf. Its just awful quality, and not because Im a "we were better when we wore Nike" guy

my Dad had before he died he named "Blew Hawaii", since he used the Hawaiian vacation fund to finance said purchase. That boat has since been sold and re-named, so its free for your use if you like.

were NFL teams, the sheep on ESPN would never shut up about how "until they can prove that they can win a game in cold weather..." just like they did last season with the Saints. But, since it's the SEC, the fact that they never play a game below 40 degrees isn't even a footnote.

that James Whitley was going to be the next Mr. Charles Woodson. I know I'm being foolish but I dont like 5. And I'm 37 years old, yet I believe in superstition. And this may not even be a susperstition, just me being an idiot. Sue me.
Wait, is this not the Friday night drinking thread? My bad

yesterday (dont recall where) while I was looking for Browns news (born in Ferndale, raised in Cleveland) and most of the OSU fans I saw talking about it seemed to think this kid was in for a visit and showed up in OSU garb. Their response was predictable, and they weren't happy when I informed them the kid was in AA for SMSB and not a campus visit. Of course, it took a while for me to explain it to them, but still...

and every time I drive in rush hour traffic and see some jackass doing 85 in the far right lane, then almost cause an accident by cutting off a semi, I think about it. Luckily, I know if I do that with my son in the car, the police will haul me away and turn him over to child services, so I calm down pretty quickly. People just drive like morons around here.
