grip it and rip it. He's become waaaaay too technical over the years, thinking he should be able to control the golf ball the way we can when we have controllers in our hands. It's just not possible. He's thinking too much, trying to be too perfect. He just needs to go out there and "Nuke LaLoosh" it. One of the best things my golf coach ever told me was that I needed to stop "paralysis by analysis" trust my game and "see ball, hit ball". ESPECIALLY with the short game. The short game is more of a feel than anything else. If you're specnding too much time in between your own ears, you'll be spending a lot of time swearing after chunked shots.
He should ease up and try and have some fun. Quit worrying about the major record. He has enough money to last 100 lifetimes. He should go out there and play with "house money" because at least then if he shoots an 82, he can have a sense of humor about it.

NEVER missed...probably because there were 3 distinct levels to the routes, and it was impossible to cover them all

like it was yesterday. Was a great day for me for a number of reasons, and the game was a big part of it. If only the refs in the Nabraska-Mizzou game had the stones to call that kicked pass in the end zone, it may have been the best (non birth of child) day ever

well sonny, let me tell ya a story about Chris Floyd, all everything fullback and destroyer of worlds. Loved him because I was a blocking (slow, fat) TE when I played and I always gravitated toward guys who gave themselves up for the betterment of the team, the team, the team. Chris Floyd was one helluva fullback and watching him blow dudes up was always a good time.

I just saw something on a Cleveland sports focused website where one of the staff writers' friends put $20 down on OSU to win the title after they lost to Virginia Tech. Odds? 75-1

lives in Grand Blanc, which is really a nice little town. Just have to be sure we dont go too far North on Dort Hwy. Funny story: when my Mom first moved up to that area, she was confused my all the ladies she would see hanging out at the Big John on Dort Highway, right inside the FLint city limits. We had to explain to her that those ladies were in their "office"

Tyrone was the studliest stud of all the studs in that game. Triple Option Right until he got "tired" then call a TO and start over again.

"STAY OFF MY LAWN" in me, but even though the food is fairly above average there, I despise eating there because of those stupid baskets. Give me a plate, so I can put my sandwich down on a flat surface and it doesnt fall apart. This isn't the county fair, or a knock off Dairy Queen. GIVE ME A PLATE (and if you ask for a plate, they bring you an app plate because thats all they have...so annoying
And since that's the worst thing I have to complain about today, I'm gonna go ahead and shut up and be thankful for what I have

even a broken clock is right twice a day. I have more respect for folks who sit on something until they have unassailable proof than I do for the ones who blurt out a hunch as fact in an effort to garner adulation for being "first".
So, he guessed right. Whoop-dee-doo. Good job, good effort. That and a dollar will get him a cup of coffee. I don't like or dislike Gregg Henson. I don't know the man, and I am vaguely familiar with his work. But he certainly does not deserve to be lauded because his "guess" came to pass.

people said mean things to him on a platform where people saying mean things is either the #1 or #2 favorite past time? What a sap. I've seen Pansies take more abuse being transplanted from a cold frame to a garden.

that bad weather expected late Wednesday is my fault. I'll be driving up 23 from Columbus to Grand Blanc, so bad weather HAS to present itself. It's one of those rules of nature.

or is that stuffing ball recipe remarkable similar to Pete Schweddy's recipe?

you're bring back memories of arguments I used to have with people who were in love with Drew Henson. I still don't understand those people.

in the same vein as "very unique" I just thought of another one that bugs me--"my personal opinion" of course it's personal. I can see that there are other types of opinions- a group opinion, a professional opinion, etc, but if you say "my" then "personal" becomes pedantic. Just makes the speaker sound like a high school kid trying to eek out the 500th word on an essay

also, I have a labrador who at one point was nicknamed the "counter shark" because he would eat pretty much anything we left on the counter (whole loaves of bread, including the bag, frozen chicken/ground beef left out to thaw/ phone chargers/ anything not nailed down) and whenever he would get something (like a chicken-sicle) I would text my wife and say "duuuh-duut" to imitate the Jaws sound.
but, thats just like, my opinon, man

I know there's more, I just cant think of them right now

take a moment to be thankful for what we do have, and realize how luckymany of us are that a coaching search is the largest source of stressed have these days.
Ace, I hope you have a full and speedy recovery. Its nice to hear you have such a wonderful support system. All the best wishes in the world unto you

I prefer the first version because the "all of our fish have AIDS" line rubs me the wrong way. Not sure why. I grew up in Cleveland and normally have a good sense of humor about my hometown (self-depricating humor is ALWAYS funny, to me) but that just made me mad for some reason. Totally irrational, I am

on the 12th. That Winking Lizard is right in the middle of my old stomping grounds. There's a Crazy Horse a couple doors down as well, if anyone is interested. For now, please enjoy this hastily made Cleveland tourism video:

can I get a hit of what you're smoking? I wouldn't let Pat Shurmur make me a cup of coffee. His offenses with the Rams were below average, his tenure with the Browns was an abomination (horrible playcalling, couldn't handle game management situations, tons of formation/procedural penalties, countless timeouts burned because it took too long for him to call a play, etc. etc) AND he only got the job because his Uncle Fritz was Mike Holmgren's DC in the past (cronyism is bad everywhere). Somehow he managed to get hired by Chip Kelly as an OC, but that's just a title, we all know who runs the offense for the Eagles.
