During the trophy…

During the trophy presentation, when Jack Harbaugh took the mic and yelled into it, the audio on ESPN cut out, for whatever reason. It sounded like, "WHO'S _____ BETTER THAN US?"

And my mom, unfamiliar with the phrase, asked, "What did he say? Did he say 'WHO'S F#@%$ING BETTER THAN US?'"  And I had to laugh.

It looks like most of the…

Wow, thanks for sharing your…

Wow, thanks for sharing your insights; seems like it takes some toughness to do so in situations like this.

Why can’t you acknowledge that a good Michigan team can beat a good Ohio State team and you don’t need a new Cooper to do it?

I'm with you, and it seems it's easy for us fans to forget this. OSU's been a great team, year in and year out—otherwise it'd wouldn't be so great to beat them. I admit it's been delightful over the course of the season when some Buckeye weaknesses seemed to have been revealed. ("Maybe there's a chance?") But it's so good when we discover that an opponent that we defeated (even UConn) is better than we thought!

I'm thinking that Harbaugh for a long time has done a good job with this. (Sure, there've been some jabs.) But I'm remembering back before the '15 game him talking about how the Buckeyes are a team that wins "with mind-numbing rapidity", or something like that. And when he got his glasses, he gave a shout-out to Woody Hayes.

I'm even wondering what JJ said to the lineman after his pass was deflected. Could it have been "you got me there, bro" ?

I'm thinking acknowledging the (high) quality of your opponent might be a powerful thing indeed.

Praying healing for you Buckeyefan67, and thank you MgoHillbilly for going against the grain a little bit in posting this. Man, it's so encouraging to me to see support poured out from people here to this man who needs it.

Lip Read?

Was anyone able to lip-read what Harbaugh said as he threw his hat? Something like "YOU ARE F'ING . . . UNBELIEVABLE! UNBELIEVABLE!" Anything I missed?

Michigan Wins

52-6 Michigan

Fun fact

University of Central Florida is the largest university in the United States by undergraduate and total student enrollment.

Fun Contest

I had fun looking at all these GIFs along the way. My favorite will always be anytime Harbaugh pulls his cap over his eyes out of frustration.

SAM

I didn't know what the SAM position was. From Wikipedia:

The strongside linebacker (SLB) is often nicknamed "Sam" or striker[13] for purposes of calling a blitz. Since the strong side of the offensive team is the side on which the tight end lines up, or whichever side contains the most personnel, the strongside linebacker usually lines up across from the tight end. Often the strongside linebacker will be called upon to tackle the running back on a play, because the back will be following the tight end's block. He is most often the strongest linebacker; at the least he possesses the ability to withstand, shed, and fight off blocks from a tight end or fullback blocking the backside of a pass play. The linebacker should also have strong safety abilities in pass situation to cover the tight end in man on man situations. He should also have considerable quickness to read and get into coverage in zone situations. The strongside linebacker is also commonly known as the left outside linebacker (LOLB).

I don't see Anderson coming here

In addition to saying he loves Stanford, he specifically called out not taking a different DC job:

Video

Is mgovideo the best place to watch the press conferences? It seems they usually include only a part of the conferences.

2 pt. conversion

I like the 2 pt. conversion call, not because of the extra points or the chart, but because it seems like good practice for us.

Same with Speight -- he got tangled up with the lineman's foot on the one play, and I'm so glad he learned that lesson today instead of someone like Ohio State.

Interesting, got it It's pretty disappointing if it's true that Brandon's ego was what got in the way of us getting a better coach last time. Sounds like we're not going to make that mistake again. I'm still concerned that the challenge of winning a Super Bowl is all Jim wants to focus on at the moment.
I hope you're right I would be overjoyed to see Jim Harbaugh become our next coach. However, I remember a radio interview with John Harbaugh back in January 2011 right after Jim joined the 49ers. John talked about the different options his brother had, etc. Then they asked him about the Michigan coaching position. He responded with something like, "I don't think that was ever a real possibility." It was a painful thing for a Michigan fan to hear, in a way worse than him not taking the job. And I'm afraid now that Jim still has no desire to return to college, that he wants to stay where he has a chance to beat Pete Carroll and to beat his brother. And if he's giving vague answers or not giving a definite no, then that might be just to help him get a better offer from Oakland, etc. But I hope I'm wrong.
