Management Consultant... graduated from U of M with a Chem E degree, waitlisted from medical schools. Should have continued my pursuit instead of settling into a career.
As the father of a girl, I think each Baylor football player who has had their names published in the team roster during the Art Briles era should be chemically castrated.
RR still has a job at the U of A because Greg Byrne, the AD who hired him, left before last season ended. It took U of A until March to find a replacement, who happens to be Dave Heeke from CMU. Unless Heeke pulls a page out of the Illinois playbook and hire Mike Debord in August, RR has one more year to prove himself.
However, assistants and recruits are well aware of RR's lack of security. They would not have had to turn to Donovan Tate if their recruiting didn't crash.
Grew up in Saginaw, surrounded by sparties. Became an ND fan just to be different from everyone else. Couldn't afford ND out of HS and chose UM over MSU for the academics. The best decision I have ever made.
PJ Fleck got some 3 star prospects to commit to WMU over schollys from lower tier Big 10 schools. Some of them may become late blooming gems. Jordan Kovacs, the Glasgow brothers, and Kenny Allen were all PWOs.
Mark Coyle, Minnesota's AD, is a true believer of the wide-open video-game-style passing game. He hired Bryan Harsin at Boise and Dino Babers at Syracuse. His main complaint against Tracy Claeys was the manball cro magnon offense impacting Minny's attendance. Les Miles at Minnesota will be awkward, like "Mitt Romney working for PresidentTrump" level of awkward.
1. USC - 2018 in AA; 2019 in LA. We would love a game for the WC alums like me. SC would like the East Coast exposure for Sam Darnold's junior year ahead of his Heisman run.
2. Miami (YTM) - 2018 in AA, 2019 in Mia. Miami has 1 non-conf opponent scheduled for 2018, and plenty of flexibility. The Bushes (Devin, Devin Jr, Gwen) get a game in front of their families and friends on 2019.
Too bad the schedules for Cal and Stanford will not work out. Would love to be able to sell Najee on a game in front of his family.
Unlike Harbaugh, Mora Jr is a Defensive Specialist who gives his OC almost total control of the offense. Josh Rosen + a NFL-ready playbook = magic. Plus, recruiting trips don't involve overnight stays in LA, and if Rosen likes Fisch, he may bring Fisch with him to his first NFL gig, similar to what Andrew Luck did with Pep Hamilton, his OC at Stanford.
... In all seriousness, Texas... no limit budget, NFL level facilities, a growing state with a strong economy, and a low-effort required recruiting base.

Tom Herman will not go to LSU. Houston has a good potential of sustaining their success and Herman is paid well enough to stay there until Texas calls. Texas will outbid LSU anyday.
Realistically, LSU should look at the following candidates.

Jimbo Fisher may want to take a look at the job, but I doubt he would leave with his family issues.

Joe Alleva is signaling to his constituents that he will leave no stone unturned. Dantonio's agent is trying to get a conversation with Joe Alleva to pitch one of his clients. Mork is lending his name to satisfy both fronts.
Urbz is taking his team to Pointe Vedra (where the PGA is headquartered), where his one time protege Tim Tebow attended high school. They only stop in JAX long enough to get free tattoos.
Manuel had to deal with the end of Jim Calhoun's tenure, when they were sanctioned for low APR scores. His handling of transition from Calhoun to Kevin Ollie should be used as a case study. I would suggest that Manuel is probably more prepared than most to take the baton from Hackett.
I wonder how Manuel would handle Red's transition.
This is the reason why no high school player should be offered a scholarship or be allowed to commit to a school until he completes winter of their junior year. A lot happens in 2/3 years, both with the recruit and with the school.
In addition, if a kid requires significant development, can the school steer them to a higher profile HS/Prep program where they can receive the coaching necessary? The military academies steer lots of committed recruits into their Prep School programs.
With a new QB starting next year, the Oregon 1st string offense needs to build confidence during practice, and Hoke's defenses will definitely provide that.
As for in-game coaching, Oregon plans to station Hoke in the press box, and Hoke will not wear a headset.
