Against teams with a pulse at that point (i.e., Notre Dame and Utah). In those two games the defense had outscored the offense as well (7-3).

Was gonna short their stock.

I think we both agree that it's more likely to be Rudock, but given Harbaugh's past performance with quarterback I wouldn't be surprised if Morris (or even one of the others!) starts and does well.

The rules were changed in I believe 1992 to allow the defensive player to advance a fumble from anywhere on the field. (Which doesn't explain the period from 1992 to 2002, but we only had three interceptions for touchdowns in the eighties, too, so go figure.)
I'm not exactly sure what the old rules were; obviously it did happen prior to 1992. The ball may have needed to not touch the ground, which would make returns much rarer. I also googled something about the ball needing to be past the line of scrimmage, which does not ring a bell with me. That would also make returns for touchdowns less likely, as the offense would usually be between the recovering defensive player and the end zone.

Mostly because I keep picturing a MSU defensive back tackling Desmond Howard on a two-point conversion attempt.

It's entirely possible that he either has Type 2 diabetes and does not have an official diagnosis, or that he does and he's not managing his blood sugar well. You need to learn how to do it, and it's not uncommon for somebody with Type 2 diabetes to be in denial.
I personally tend not to notice low blood sugar until I realize I'm horrifically cranky. In a high stress environment where he was likely to have been running on adrenaline anyway, Hoke might have been able to ignore it until after the game.

Bacon's far better as a journalist than Millen ever was as a network analyst, though.

I think my wife's boss was in Minneapolis for business during this blizzard and was trapped there for quite a while.
But that's unusual even for the Twin Cities.

From Arlington, handle place kicking in the early eighties (including the team that won Bo's first Rose Bowl). He actually played in the NFL for a couple of years, which was a novelty for a Michigan kicker at the time.

I had to doublecheck the byline when I realized that Brian had graduated long before Mike Hart made it to campus.

(And yes, I voted after you removed the labels.)
|7 weeks 5 days ago||He's got two touchdown drives||
One against Kansas State in the 2013 bowl game and one against Minnesota. No, he hasn't looked good but the offense struggled for much of the last two years with Gardner so I wouldn't read too much into it.
I agree, though, that Ruddock is most likely the starter. However, I don't think Harbaugh is going to hesitate to play someone else if he thinks they'll play better.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||Here you go||
What's interesting is that at least statistically Wilson seems to have regressed between 2009 and 2010 despite the fact that North Carolina State improved dramatically (going from 5-7 in 2009 to 9-4 in 2010).
He still made a hell of a jump in his only year in Madison.
|7 weeks 5 days ago||You are absolutely correct||
In the season opener against Western, for instance, Cook was just 6 of 16 and MSU managed exactly one offensive touchdown (link) in a 26-13 win. In their next game against South Florida, they again managed only one offensive touchdown in a 21-6 win (link).
So yes, we were laughing at both Cook and the MSU offense. They started to turn it around after they lost to Notre Dame and although they still struggled occasionally (like in the 14-0 win over 1-11 Purdue) they nonetheless managed to put together a run I think any Michigan fan would have been happy with, culminating in a Rose Bowl win over Stanford.

Canadian stars will be on par with American stars, just like the dollar.
Although it would be more fitting if St-Juste was from Alberta.
|8 weeks 6 days ago||This is what I was thinking||
People were ready to give up on Alex Smith before Harbaugh got a hold of him. I don't if Harbaugh could have done the same thing for Cutler, but it would have been interesting to see had Harbaugh wound up in Chicago instead of San Francisco.

Link. I don't know if he was ever considered a serious threat to make the majors, but apparently he was something of an athlete.

Seriously. Nearly every little bistro or sidewalk cafe will serve good food. And they have to; Parisians have high standards.
About the only way you could go wrong would be to eat in a place that caters more or less exclusively to tourists. Particularly American tourists.

Lebron is only 30, but Larry Bird was 34 in his twelfth season. It's only four years but that has to be a factor as well.

Do you mean someone else? Taylor never managed to get 1500 yards of total offense in a season.

Who have large tattoos on their chest similar to his.
Don't get me wrong, there's definitely something of a generational gap. I'm almost 50 and although tattoos don't bother me (with an occasional exception) they've also never really interested me, either.
|12 weeks 7 hours ago||The only way to avoid this||
Is to dominate the game to the point where a blown call can't affect the outcome. That doesn't happen too often.
So yeah, it sucks, but there's not a lot you can do about it.
